Surprisingly good stay considering the price paid for the room that also included breakfast. The staff were attentive and all the information you need was given, faultless. If I was being REALLY fussy, I'd suggest they get a spot carpet cleaner in to the coridoors and give a few areas a scrub. That said, and I am being super picky :) I had no issues at all with cleanliness throughout, in the room or wider hotel.

Breakfast was absolutely fine but if you are a cooked breakfast frequenter, you might find the options a bit sparse. The basics are there and are good, but nothing more.

Moxy Southampton is like the cool, quirky cousin of hotels that knows how to keep everyone happy—even your dog! The breakfast coffee is so good it could wake the dead (or at least a groggy traveler), and the beds? Absolute heaven. Think marshmallow clouds paired with pillows that practically hug you to sleep. The rooms and hotel are spotless, as if cleaned by ninjas with a thing for sparkle. Plus, the location couldn’t be better—close to everything you need. Bonus: doggies are welcome, so even your furry friend can live their best life. Who needs five stars when you’ve got Moxy vibes?

Room was overheated. Weather outside was cold but the only way to be comfy in the room was to turn off the heat and open the window. Which brought the temperature down a couple degrees. No great way to handle clothes. Three hangers in the room but no place to put anything else. Pretty much have to live out of your suitcase. We stayed longer than the one or two nights the rooms are designed for. The common areas have a couple of sofas and also tables with wooden or metal chairs but not really a comfortable place to work on a PC. Rooms certainly don't have working spaces. Breakfasts are okay but the rest of the food is mostly not very good.

Very friendly staff and most helpful when it came to printing our bus tickets for our homeward journey. We arrived before 9am after leaving a cruise ship and were allowed to go straight to our room, which was most appreciated. Breakfast buffet is amazing..best Greek Yoghurt ever! Location for bus terminus is perfect. Our taxi driver took us the "scenic route" on arrival, as we didn't know just how close we were, but we walked back in just over 10 minutes when we left.

Room is perfect for a short, 2 night stay such as ours, but lack of storage would make it difficult for a longer stay.

Managed to get an early check in that was nice. Welcome cocktail was welcomed also. Room very happy with and comfortable. The public areas very clean and modern (not everyone's taste) I could it ok. Staff very happy and looked as though had security during the weekend. Felt safe at all times and felt more like an hang out rather than an hotel.

Building work being done but not an issue for myself. I knows some will. But no issues at all during my stay. This is at a very push trying to find any fault. However no issues for my stay.

Good location. Clean. Funky & fun style. Comfy beds. TV that lets you cast whatever you want to it. Free cocktail. Lots of places to chill downstairs, including a little arcade corner, record player, electric guitar. Nice staff. Nice modern room and bathroom.

Only some minor things- Was odd how there were no flannels or hand towels in the bathroom. Would've been nice if we were told before our arrival (or at the very least when we were checking in) there was some maintenance going on and there was no hot water until the evening. A desk that has a mirror would've been a win - gotta do our makeup comfortably! 😄

The hotel's location was perfect for our cruise embarkation port in Southampton. Check-in was easy breezy. Our room was very neat and the size and bed size was just adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was full English and the quality was excellent. We also had a light evening meal at the Bar and it was nice. Staff were warm and helpful.

There was a lot of noise during the night, we couldn't tell if it was plumbing works or a major construction, but it was rather disruptive and kept us awake for a few hours. We brought this to the attention of a member of staff the following morning. Unfortunately, we did not get a satisfactory explanation, although they did apologise.

The Moxy Southampton is next to a multi-storey car park. Across the road is the West Quay Shopping Mall which contains a cinema on the top floor. There are several eating places available in the shopping centre and town. The City Cruise Terminal (Gate 8) is visible from the hotel and less than 10 minutes walk away along a flat pavement across the main harbour road. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. The decor is comic book/funky. The evening food menu is varied. Breakfast is self-service with hot and cold foods. A welcome punch style cocktail is offered. The rooms are spacious, curtains are thick, bathroom new with good lighting. The staff are enthusiastic, friendly and professional.

Experienced the breakfast buffet with freshly prepared and flavoursome hot English breakfast options. Good selection of continental breakfast items. The breakfast areas and the seating area was kept clean.

Perhaps to include cooked mushrooms and tomatoes in the English breakfast options. However the hygiene around guests handling the serving utensils could be improved. Serving utensils were handled by every guest and this was not a comfortable experience. Perhaps it may be better if the hot breakfast was served by a member of the kitchen or bar staff in the future...?

The Moxy was the perfect location for catching our cruise ship. It was a very short and easy walk and that included rolling 3 pieces of luggage. We arrived early in the day and the hotel secured our luggage while we explored the historical sights within walking distance of the hotel.

There wasn't much I didn't like. The Moxy was under a bit of renovation with a lot of scaffolding alongside the hotel building. Also, check-in was at the bar which gets loud and crowded.
