When I opened the door to my room there were two steps immediately to the right down into the room which I nearly fell down, perhaps a warning notice on the outside ot the door might help.

The room was very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and there was a little sign welcoming me by name on it, which was very cute. The bathroom was spacious and clean, although the toiler paper dispenser was a bit interesting. There was also a well-stocked minifridge with snacks and drinks, and also a large bottle of wine and water on the desk. They were decently priced for hotel minifridge items. The breakfast was very nice, there was a typical spread of breakfast items, but also stirfried vegetables, raw vegetables to snack on, and a little glass jar to make a salmon sandwhich. The location of the hotel was also amazing and a short walk away from the places I wanted to visit.

The only downside was that the floors were a bit creaky and I could hear other guests walking around in the hallway at night because of the creaking floor.

The hotel was conveniently located in the old town close to the main market, the castle, the walls and plenty of great restaurants. Our room was spacious and included a sitting area and mini fridge. Breakfast options were varied.

The shower in our room was on the small side, and the breakfast was somewhat pricey.

It’s a very old building adapted to be a hotel. It’s located in the old city. There are a lot of stairs and was no elevator to our 2nd story room. The room is small and basic but has a lot of character. The bathroom/ shower was tiny but functional. There was no kettle. There was a small area accessible outside. Creaky floors and stairs but it was quiet at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not for the elderly or disabled. It is very reasonably priced for the location. We didn’t have the breakfast.

I received an upgrade to what is basically a small studio due to a special request for no extra charge! The breakfast is one i would eat every day if I could and it starts at 7 am

The Wi-fi is a little patchy in the evening, it comes back but you may have to pause your internet use for a bit. Some glitches with the key card but these were addressed by the front desk. The location is great but there is a 22 minute walk to the train station

Hotel Elch is in a great location. The staff were very helpful and pleasant . Breakfast also was good .

Our room was in the older part of the hotel and at the front. It wasn’t very big but adequate. There was some noise in the evenings from the street . There is also building work going on opposite that also created noise .

Super-location in the old town, nice boutique hotel, the room had a very large terrace with a table and chairs. However, the room is a bit cramped for two persons, and has some rough corners and several weird and quite steep stairs (the bathroom is on a different level).

The breakfast arrangement in the lobby is not ideal, though the breakfast was good and nicely arranged. I would try a different room next time, though.

When I booked, I used the special request option to give the heads up that I'd want to drop my bag before check-in. They replied quickly, and when I arrived, they greeted me warmly and acknowledged the request. The staff including the Manager were really friendly. The hotel was really clean, and I loved my room. A/C was a bonus. Breakfast was YUM! I appreciated the extra steps taken to reduce waste. (They asked what time I'd be down so they can pace the amount they prepare.) The variety was somewhat limited compared to others, but the quality was superb. I had everything I would normally want! This was my 3d stay in Nuremburg--and it was the best.

No one asked me if I wanted to pet their dog. Booo! I wish my husband could have travelled with me. He would have loved it.

The hotel is well located in the Aldstadt making it convenient to explore that part of town. The room was functional, clean and quiet (early spring). There was some street noise from cafes around but could be mitigated by closing the windows. The breakfast was excellent.
