Great location, cozy atmosphere

Lady at the front desk was rude and unfriendly Pool didn’t have towels, was not clean enough, bar was not working

The room was clean and quiet. But it wasn't ready when we got there. We had to wait an hour, and we weren't there because we had an event to go to and we were late. But the staff did put our bags in our room that we left at the front desk.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived. They said it was ready at 4 pm and we got there after 4 and it still wasn't ready. I understand they said they were short staffed but when the front desk wanted to offer us a bottle of wine for the inconveniences, when she went to ask they said no because we didn't book our room with Expedia. So instead I got a coupon for a free appetizer at the restaurant we couldn't eat at.

Our bathroom , though modern (glassdoors instead of shower curtains), was quite small, even though it was a better room category There was only one bath robe in the room although it was booked for three people Dinner: table inside - it was quite dark, no lights on the table Place needs some more attention, for example the tables in the bar area look a bit tired

The hotel is in a great location, the restaurant terrace has a wonderful view. We loved the nature trails around the hotel and the close proximity to the redwood forests. The restaurant serves great meals and the bar and wait staff were very friendly and welcoming. Hotel rooms are generous and comfy bed

I don’t like having to make a special request to get the room made up

Many troops face into the woods, allowing for views of birds, deer, etc. loved that there were a variety of spaces all over the property where people could spend time. Firepits, poolside, a lovely big room with a fireplace and cozy chairs in the main lodge.

Our room was a bit worn out. Lots of paint chips and marks on the walls, for example. However the bed was very comfortable.

It was chill, calm and relaxing. Food was good, swimming pool is really nice and the cocktails available there is a real plus. It makes it even more "vacation"

I think it was too pricy for what we got. the room was clean and not small but it was on the side (5min walk from the main entrance etc.) I was expecting more for ~$500 a night!

We have stayed here several times and always enjoy the ambiance and amenities.

We had to park quite a distance from our room due to the influx of restaurant traffic. Designated parking for hotel guests should be considered.

Chaminade was a total pleasant surprise. It was so easy and friendly for kids and dogs. We hiked and it was cool even on a hot day. The room was large and comfortable with a serene deck overlooking the woods. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely and delicious. My 15 year old son said the gym was great, and he’s always disappointed in hotel gyms.

The property is beautiful and so much you can do there. Don't forget your tennis rackets because they have courts as well as for pickle ball. We enjoyed the family movie night by the fire pit and smores night with the family. Don't miss out on the sauna and steam room and a more private hot tub in the fitness center. Make reservations at the restaurant because they fill up fast. Monterey Bay aquarium was only 45 mins away and if you need to do any quick shopping the Capitola shopping center is only one freeway exit away.

The trails was awesome

On my last night the power went out on my room right before we checked out so had to shower in the dark and couldn’t iron clothes or my daughter and wife couldn’t use the blow dryer. Maintenance was called but didn’t see them to come fix it.
