The host met me at the door, was very welcoming and friendly, he explained the door system. Facilities was basic, but i would say for a one nighter perfect. A real great fair prices as well. The location i needed was tip top, really great. I wouldn't have a problem in the future using this accommodation. I recommend this property.

The shower/toilet area was lacking a clean. The shower foot mat needs replacing. Plug sockets in the room I had were in my opinion not safe to touch, as it was hanging off the wall, with the wire away from the wall. All above can be fixed with a little tlc.

good location outside the city center with good bus + tram connection into city and suburbs clean facilities kitchen available for some basic cooking, which I appreciate for longer stays upstairs rooms are much nicer than downstairs I suggest to book one of the bigger rooms if you stay more than a few days and spend a lot of time at the lodge friendly staff

I guess not everyone is a friend of shared bathrooms, however, they are cleaned daily and to me it is a fair trade off given price and location.

The place is good value for money. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. The room was decent and a good size for me. The staff is very friendly. Very close to uni so when my car didn't start one morning, I was able to walk to the centre easily. Overall, a good place to stay for a night or a couple of days.

The shared bathroom was not clean however I feel that this may just be due to other people staying at the lodge and not necessarily down to the lodge itself. No disposable slippers are provided so I recommend bringing slippers that you can easily slip on when going to the bathroom, for example.

I liked the fact that there was off street parking. Comfortable double bed in a single room. Also there is 24hr access to the building with an access code which was great as I came in late from an event. Free WiFi available with the access code and free tea and coffee facilities. Great price for a single room and the location is close to Birmingham centre.

I had a little embarrassing problem during my stay affecting the room. There was no one at check out so I emailed to explain & they were ever so understanding which made me feel a bit better about it. The place itself was cheap & cheerful. Would recommend even if I'm unsure I could face up to it

The hotel is a little out of town in a quiet residential area. The gentleman who checked me in was very helpful and helped me with my luggage. The rooms are very basic which suited me just fine, the bed was comfy and good bathroom. I expected there to be some noise during the night as I stayed there on a weekend but I had a great night's sleep. Would stay here again, excellent value for a big city stay.

I have got to know the staff over the years I have stayed. A lovely bunch. Nothing is too much trouble and they always remember your name.

Loved the 3 beds, facilities included microwave, kitchen. The owner was exemplary, looked after our every need. Am booking every time I'm in the area from now on.

Working T.V in room would be nice.
