Check in staff were really lovely and even applied a free late check out! Breakfast was free and really nice - standard help yourself buffet style lay out. Kids especially loved the pancake machine! The bathroom/shower were lovely - fresh & modern although not a lot of power in the shower, it was really roomy and had everything you needed (soaps, shower gels, shampoos etc) Lovely fresh clean sheets 😍

For 2 adults & 2 teenage children, we didn’t really feel the beds were big enough (although this didn’t effect our stay as our son had ASD, will not stay in other beds and packs an airbed for himself 😅 - but thinking of other guests/families). When checking we hadn’t left anything under a bed, came across a pile of sweets left from previous guest - need to clean under beds too. Few scrapes/dings/dents around the room which if touched up would make a big difference.

Very clean and spacious room at a fair price that included a good international breakfast. The location is great, just a few walks from Birmingham's City Centre (the Black Sabbath Brg, the Library, etc.) and the staff was very kind and helpful.

Well, the parking in UK big cities is always tricky. Very few hotels provide free parking. The Hotel kindly provides a discount to the B4 Car Park at Weaman Street, just around the corner. I suggest to park first and then doing the check-in. When checking out, you are able to insert your car's verification number on a tablet at the reception in order to receive a discount at the moment of paying the Car Park.

I would like to say how the manager Dave on duty went above and beyond to help us. I'm disabled and did everything to help me/us. Even the next morning, he made sure he asked us if everything was ok. He was such a genuine, friendly person, he certainly in the right job and we must say he's a credit to your company/hotel. The reception staff were friendly and gave us clear directions to the canal and beautiful smiles, which goes along way Even going into breakfast the young man cleaning in the restaurant said good morning and we didn’t feel, he had to say it!

The room was very stuffy and couldn't make the aircon below 18. We ordered two single bed via email, as I'm disabled and don't sleep very well. Unfortunately, we were given a double but I was in too much pain to change. Apple and orange juice was watered down to much.

Breakfast was excellant. Evening Meal was Excellant. Loyall and Amyee at front desk were very kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rest of the staff were also very good.. The rooms were so clean, Beds lovely and comfortable also lovely pillows. Restaurant was very clean and inviting. In future if possible we will be booking with Holiday Inn. Keep up the good work. You have a lovely Property also you must be proud of all your staff. Nothing was to much trouble. You should be so proud to have special staff. Who work very hard. You should be proud of them all. There was nothing to dislike

The room.was perfect....'roomy' not small. Bathroom was imaculate.. shower very spacious.. much like a new build! Tv large. Even though i live 5 minutes from Birmingham centre and stayed at hotel for a gig that night i really would concider just staying at this hotel purley just for a fun rum trip again.. thanks!

The only negative was one of the lifts didnt stop at out floor.. 6. But the were two others to chose from. No negative really. Had to skip breakfast that i paid for as were sleeping off the previous nights entertainment... its a shame. But my fault.

Breakfast

Loading/Access to the entrance: It is very difficult to identify the entrance and the place to stop and get down before entering the hotel with luggage. The promised 55% discount to the parking fee at B4 Parking was not enabled despite registering on the system. Only on reaching the parking place did I realize that it was not enabled. I had to call my family to get that enabled! At the time of the checkout, the lady at the front desk was not ready to answer as to where do I stop my car for me to be able to load luggage and alight my family. She was being very diplomatic - does not help! Overnight parking in the vicinity is very expensive.

Having stayed before I knew what to expect. It did not disappoint. Bathroom - A good shower and nightlight. Bedroom - Bed was comfortable. Breakfast - good choices especially the 'hot' food (good to see the jar of marmite!). Getting down early (0630 M-F & 0700 Sat/Sun) certainly makes for a better breakfast experience (later on it can get quite crowded and noisy). Staff - friendly and efficient. Wi-fi - worked ok even without their password. Excellent location if arriving/departing to/from Birmingham Snow Hill railway station.

Nothing too drastic. Breakfast - the 'continental' side was a bit thin, could have done with some cold meats. Given there seems to be a demand, Breakfast at the weekend needs to start at 0630 as well. Came back at 2230 on the Saturday evening and the key card didn't work very well on the Front Door, but eventually the Door opened.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Booked for 2 nights in a double room. Room was extremely clean, warm and comfortable. Great shower and plenty of towels. We had an initial hic up with our reservation which was nothing to do with the hotel, the manager Scott went over and above to rectify and had sorted all in a few minutes with a professional , polite and pleasant manner that any employer should be proud of. He deserves a special mention. All staff members were polite, pleasant and very helpful. We will definitely be back and will recommend this hotel to everyone. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: Read less

Toilet seat needs tightening its a bit loose

Breakfast was excellent. About a 10 minute walk to the shopping area and New Street train station. Nice and quiet at night and no outside noise. Aircon was amazing in the room as it was quite warm there. Shower was super powerful. Would definitely stay again.

The double bed was very small for 2 adults and the pull out bed was extremely small even for 2 children and not very comfortable. I would prefer a second double bed or 2 singles for the next stay. Duvets were extremely light and not wide enough for the beds. I would probably upgrade if the option is available.

The rooms are spacious, and the beds are so comfy that I did not want to get up. The staff were helpful in allowing us to leave our luggage before checking in. Breakfast is good with a variety to suit everyone We requested extra coffee, which the staff obliged and soon went to get us some

The breakfast was busy and although the staff were busy and trying to keep on top of everything, the cutlery stand was left empty which meant there were no knives or forks for breakfast therefore meaning you had to either wait which meant breakfast went cold or as we did use a spoon to butter our toast
