We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Express Snowhill Birmingham. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warmth and professionalism — nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a short walk from the city centre and right next to the beautiful St. Chad’s Cathedral, which was a lovely landmark to visit during our stay. The breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of choice, fresh options, and great quality — the perfect start to each day. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-designed, making it a great base for exploring Birmingham. Overall, the combination of the friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and prime location made our stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Staff at breakfast were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They ensured our four children were supplied with ample pancakes and orange juice. They are a real credit to your hotel. Being our first city centre break, the city centre location allowed us to explore the array of local eateries on offer.

Had to switch rooms on arrival because of a strong smoke smell. We appreciated the 55% discount on B4 parking however still feel that the daily £15.70 was a bit excessive given that we sometimes only parked there overnight and considering the clean air zone fee is another cost to be considered.

Efficient check-in, which is aided by having stayed before. Room was OK. good size. Bed was comfortable with sufficient pillows. Nice bathroom with shower (no bath, which suits me). Breakfast was OK, good 'hot' options. Told that the air con wasn't working but able to get it to function, so made things more bearable. Considering the Hotel seemed quite full, it was remarkably quiet, but given I was on the 15th floor, perhaps not surprising. Good location close to SNOW HILL (BR) and ST CHADS (Tram) station.

Breakfast - shame that the 0630 start could not be extended to Saturday and Sunday, like a lot of continental Hotels do. Some cold meats would have been appreciated. Had an evening meal on the Friday. It took a while to come and had to follow up with the staff. Had the steak pie - the pie lid was so hard I couldn't cut it with the knife! Otherwise all OK.

I travelled with my teenage daughter from Liverpool, to see a show in the Old Joint Stock. I booked this hotel as it is in the city centre. The hotel was very clean. I had an email advising the air con was not working but a fan would be supplied. There was a fan in the room as stated. I had forgotten to bring tooth paste and I asked reception if they had any I could buy, I was given a toothbrush and a little toothpaste, complementary which I thought was a lovely touch. The lift is only accessible with your room card, which made me feel safe as a woman travelling to a city I've never been to before with my daughter. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. I cannot fault them. The breakfast that is included is more than sufficient. There is a car park a very short walk away from the hotel and there is 55% off if you put your registration into the system at reception. This was very much appreciated :) Overall I had a very positive experience on this trip with the hotel and Birmingham itself, I would definitely stay here again if I return to Birmingham. :)

The only very very small gripe would be that there was no nutella for my daughter with the breakfast, I wouldn't even call that a minor inconvenience but if they wanted to make any improvements I'm sure that would be nice little touch but there is Jam and Honey available. I honestly cannot fault the hotel

Check in staff were really lovely and even applied a free late check out! Breakfast was free and really nice - standard help yourself buffet style lay out. Kids especially loved the pancake machine! The bathroom/shower were lovely - fresh & modern although not a lot of power in the shower, it was really roomy and had everything you needed (soaps, shower gels, shampoos etc) Lovely fresh clean sheets 😍

For 2 adults & 2 teenage children, we didn’t really feel the beds were big enough (although this didn’t effect our stay as our son had ASD, will not stay in other beds and packs an airbed for himself 😅 - but thinking of other guests/families). When checking we hadn’t left anything under a bed, came across a pile of sweets left from previous guest - need to clean under beds too. Few scrapes/dings/dents around the room which if touched up would make a big difference.

Very clean and spacious room at a fair price that included a good international breakfast. The location is great, just a few walks from Birmingham's City Centre (the Black Sabbath Brg, the Library, etc.) and the staff was very kind and helpful.

Well, the parking in UK big cities is always tricky. Very few hotels provide free parking. The Hotel kindly provides a discount to the B4 Car Park at Weaman Street, just around the corner. I suggest to park first and then doing the check-in. When checking out, you are able to insert your car's verification number on a tablet at the reception in order to receive a discount at the moment of paying the Car Park.

The room had a fantastic view from the 19th floor. The breakfast was good but on the second morning, the breakfast room was manic, largely I suspect due to families on a weekend away. Access to the city was straightforward and all bus stops identified on Google were fairly easy to find. I was in search of the 122 Bulls in the City statues and found them all in the 3 days I was in Birmingham. I also discovered the Indian brewery that is very close to the hotel and it provides excellent food and beer!

There was little to fault really although the desk light didn’t work.

I would like to say how the manager Dave on duty went above and beyond to help us. I'm disabled and did everything to help me/us. Even the next morning, he made sure he asked us if everything was ok. He was such a genuine, friendly person, he certainly in the right job and we must say he's a credit to your company/hotel. The reception staff were friendly and gave us clear directions to the canal and beautiful smiles, which goes along way Even going into breakfast the young man cleaning in the restaurant said good morning and we didn’t feel, he had to say it!

The room was very stuffy and couldn't make the aircon below 18. We ordered two single bed via email, as I'm disabled and don't sleep very well. Unfortunately, we were given a double but I was in too much pain to change. Apple and orange juice was watered down to much.

Breakfast was excellant. Evening Meal was Excellant. Loyall and Amyee at front desk were very kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rest of the staff were also very good.. The rooms were so clean, Beds lovely and comfortable also lovely pillows. Restaurant was very clean and inviting. In future if possible we will be booking with Holiday Inn. Keep up the good work. You have a lovely Property also you must be proud of all your staff. Nothing was to much trouble. You should be so proud to have special staff. Who work very hard. You should be proud of them all.
