Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was nice for food and drinks. Floors were quiet. Lighting was excellent in the bathroom and needed improvement in the bedrooms. Water bottles and Kettle provided. Mocktails available which was great.

Location was okay but due to so much construction it was very inconvenient. Bedroom lighting too yellow and poor. Tv didnt work properly, broken signal constantly. Housekeeping didnt turn up after the first night so bins got full for 2 days. Hairdryer is old and handle was disgusting, its so old it doesnt dry anything. Air con is not great and should be more windows for outside lighting and a you should have a window you can open even if only a little for fresh air. More mocktail options should be provided and more food options for halal or vegetarian.

The staff first and foremost. Location, cleanliness and ambience. My go to hotel when visiting Birmingham and it never disappoints. Beds are super comfy.

We stayed in room 423, which is a disabled room. Really lovely. Only negative for this room as an able bodied person, is the bathroom which is a wet room understandably.When showering the whole bathroom flooded substantially. The drainage appeared overwhelmed and so water lingered for a few hours which made it extremely dangerous to walk in and out, having slipped on numerous occasions. Sink too low for me and mirror lighting could be brighter.

The room was absolutely spotless. Lovely touch was the Balloon, card and chocolates for my daughter's birthday (I did actually get charged for the balloon, which wasn't requested as an extra but never the less). For a city centre the room was so lovely and quiet at night, expect for a few guests the Saturday night coming in next door, it didn't spoil it. Bar area is really nice and we where given 3 complementary drinks (3 of us stayed). Room was turned down for our return on the Saturday afternoon which was a nice surprise. Excellent base for our weekend to an event at the NEC. Bullring shopping centre is a 4-5 mins walk for shopping, food etc.

wi-fi wasn't great and the Smart TV functions didn't work but didn't spoil our stay. Not a critic of the hotel at all - the city isn't the best I've ever visited and in a lot of parts is grubby and intimidating unfortunately, especially at night,

Nice room( executive), good amount of space. Clean with good size bed for 2 which was very comfortable. Excellent shower size & power. We were on 7th floor which was quiet, so slept well without issue. Nice little touch of leaving us a little box of chocolates/note. Breakfast although not a massive selection still plenty to chose from & tasty ,the area you could sit in is well spread out making our breakfast experience peaceful. All staff were polite & friendly nothing seemed to much trouble. There were afew security around including on door at night to insure that only those booked in the hotel could enter. Overall we were very happy with stay and would stay again. Thankyou Clayton for a smashing experience.

Only little niggle if I was being picky, would be to have had a disposable shower cap, toothbrush/toothpaste set for over night stay. Hotel is about 10minute walk from station just to be aware of but we were happy with this.

Fantastic location and comfortable rooms. Staff were excellent. Great for visiting the bullring shopping centre. Check-in was handled very well even though there was a large number of guests checking out, causing issues. A big thank you to the guest services manager who dealt with us calmly in an excellent, polite way. Beds and overall sleep was top notch.

The TV had a poor connection, and channels were random. The tv guide didn't work. Might be worth an upgrade.

Clean and comfortable bed, functional bathroom, a solid breakfast. This is all that I required for a conference in the building a short walk from the hotel. Chosen for location, between the conference and city Centre, it was excellent.

Coming from Europe, I forgot my AC adapter for my computer. The hotel did have USB-B sockets, but all my equipment is to the current USB-C standard. It would have been nice to have been possible to borrow or buy an adapter. Given the number of foreigners at the hotel, I am sure that I am not the only person who forgets this!

Beautiful rooms, clean and very comfy, would recommend. Lots of restaurants nearby and londis grocery is right opposite so families needing groceries can get that easily. Superb location, short walk from the bullring and the shopping arcade. Great transport links. Millennium point is right behind the building about 5 mins walk.

Signs outside on the building contradict HS2 building works sign ( on corner of the U shaped road, the hotel sign itself points to go around to the grill restaurant instead of the reception) so walked around the building with the family and luggage. Some small touch ups needed - bathroom tiles still have spacers in between like they were just tiled, but otherwise really beautiful bathroom. Dale end car park NCP is closest but not with concessions, no problem (still cheaper than London NCP! £16.95 for 24hrs) but thought guests should know before they leave especially if they struggle with walking or families. Aircon software in room needs to be checked but fans given were great.
