Tam Coc is the place to be, in the middle of the fantastic landscapes and experiences for which Ninh Binh is famous. And Nan House is the place to be while in Tam Coc!. located 800m from the main road along a secondary road, in a quiet position far from the noise of the main road, but easily reachable. I found this place to be the excellent way to absorbe the mood of this fantastic region, for the kindness and availability of the personnel (in particular: Moon is exceptional), for the way you can match comfort of your room with tradition of the environment outside: you can eat overlooking a lotus pond, with a lovely palm leaf gazebo, in the traditionally made bamboo open-air restaurant; relax in the swimming pool surrounded by tropical vegetation and this while your rooms are modern, clean, well designed, very spacious, with good forniture, well equipped with efficient air conditioning, a wall fan, a supplied minibar, good wifi, coffe and tea kettle, drinking water, flat TV and last but not least the daily complimentary kit for an herbal foot bath giving relief after a day of walking. There are bikes available for free (about 8 or 10, could be that they are all in use by other guests and in this case there are plenty of places where bikes are on rent) and small gazebos with hammock along the path leading to the rooms. Not to mention the view on the mountains, far after the paddies. Moon is receiving the hosts with a smile and helping in organizing the tours (several of them can at walking or biking distance), call a taxi or rent a car with driver for longer excursions. I and my family found in this place what we were looking for. Finally, I noticed that Nan House really adopts precautions for the respect of the environment, and I appreciated this vary much because the environment in this region is fragile and at challenge.

The freshly cooked, pre-ordered breakfast was in a peaceful setting at the rear of the accommodation overlooking a tropical setting. The home stay is an oasis of well-loved, lush green gardens with ample private garden seating. The kidney-shaped pool is a very welcoming arrival that was well used by young families on our 4-day stay. The staff are incredibly polite and genuine while the home stay location is close enough to the hustle and bustle of Tam Coc to easily walk there yet far enough away to avoid the late night energy.

The hot water in our room only lasted enough for 1.5 "quick" showers. By the end of the second shower, it was luke warm so wait 20 mins between showers. The bed was on the firm side for us but overall, excellent value for money.

✓perfect stay

We had a lovely stay at Nan House recently. Mr and Mrs Tuan were both friendly and welcoming, as were all of their colleagues that we interacted with. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was cleaned daily and I have to call out the housekeeper who went the extra mile for us. Our luggage was filthy and one day we arrived back to the room to find she had cleaned them all for us. We thought this was really kind and saved us a task of doing it before we left. Great service. We had a couple of small issues with the room which Mr Tuan fixed right away for us. Breakfast was lovely each morning. Always starting with a fruit platter and yogurt, then a choice from a decent menu and tea or coffee. The facilities were good with the free access to bicycles which we used most days. You could also rent scooters easy enough. Our laundry was taken care of for a reasonable price too. The location is about a 10 minute walk away from the main road so it’s an ideal location. It feels rural, and there is plenty of farm life surrounding the property as well as it being next door to a temple. The ducks like a chatter during the night, and the rooster is always prompt. I’d recommend Nan House as a decent place to stay and would definitely return should we ever be back in the area.

The hotel was absolutely amazing. The grounds include a swimming pool, a pond at the back and a beautifully landscaped garden. The room is supper spacious, clean and well decorated. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked in front of you. The mango was the best mango I've ever tried! The staff is really profesional, helpful and kind. They organised the transfers from the airport and back to Hanoi. There's so much to do and see in the Nihn Bihn region that I'd like to come again at some point. I'd definitely come back to nanhouse!

We had a beautiful stay at Nan House on the weekend whilst visiting Tam Coc. Firstly I do need to note that when we stayed, the views didn't match the images online, so I guess the photos are older from when the area was less developed. We had picked the place for the views, so it was a bit disappointing not to see the fields and mountains as pictured over the overgrowth and the rather unsightly construction works. BUT! This was made up for by the impeccable service from the lovely staff and the stunning resort itself. It's not their fault at all the area is changing and they made sure our stay was comfortable. Plus, the room was lush and the herbal foot bath was a nice touch. It was walkable to town and would be ideal for someone to wanting quiet away from the hustle and bustle.

A favourist place of all properties we have stayed in Vietnam. This spot is walking distance from the down town of Tam coc down a pleasant quiet lane way, very peaceful and beautiful. Nan House itself is in a superb location surrounded by nature, lovely lust gardens, stylist designs, ponds and pool and mountains at the backdrop. It is very quiet and calm, cozy refuge with no loud music. The room is spacious and super clean. We stayed in a wet and humid day and the staff cleaned and wiped the small path in the homestay continuously to keep the . Such a amazing effort. Breakfast is freshly served and really delicious. Tuan and his family were extremely friendly and kind, who went beyond to support for everything we need to make our stay very comfortable and pleasant. Highly recommend this place to stay in Ninh Binh.

The owner greeted us with a friendly smile as soon as we arrived. He also helped us organise a private driver to see Trang An, Hoa Lu, and Bai Dinh Pagoda. There were free bicycles for us to borrow, which we rode to Mua Caves. They could use a little maintenance though, as the bike chain kept slipping, and the brakes were worn, which could be dangerous on the main roads. Breakfast was delicious. The owner made sure to take our breakfast order the day before. We chose bun cha and banh cuon There was convenient in-house dining, and a few restaurants down the road.

There was a bit of a smell coming from the bathroom, but we kept the door closed so it was not an issue.

On the outskirts of Tam Coc, Nan House is a peaceful and delightful place to stay. We had a lovely room and enjoyed use of the pool and the half dozen or so breakfast options. We also took advantage of the free bikes that are provided to explore Tam Coc and to cycle to some of the nearby attractions, including the amazing Trang An Boat Tour, and Mua Cave. Also, we left a phone charger socket behind in our room. Free of charge, the owner took the trouble to arrange for it to be transported to Hoi An, the next destination on our trip, and it was delivered to our hotel the next day.

Nothing really but the bikes do need a bit more looking after - or certainly the ones we used.

The host was very helpful. He helped us with transportation from Ha Noi. Scooters can also be rented from the accommodation. Bicycles are provided for free (we did not try because the only smaller bicycle did not have a chain). Quiet. For breakfast you have a choice of 5 options.

The accommodation is a bit dusty. Also, the furniture is quite old. And the cleanliness wasn't great either. The windows do not close hermetically, so in the summer you can expect many insects in the room. We only saw mosquitoes (but during the time we were there, it was quite cold).
