The breakfast choices were exceptional for a B&B. Along with standard options, smoked salmon or Haddock with scrambled eggs are offered and freshly made croissants. I had the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and can only say that these were prepared and presented to a standard more common to a restaurant. Wifi was very efficient, hospitality tray was well stocked with good quality choices. It was quiet.

Not so much "not like" but things that might not make it suitable for everyone. Rooms were all upstairs, so not suitable for people with significant mobility issues. The bathroom was clean, everything worked and the toiletry selection was good and to a high quality. Towels were clean and very soft, but the bathroom and shower is small. If you are a person that needs a big bathroom experience, bear this in mind.

If you haven't been there before, it is a little tricky to find without satnav! But worth it as it is the best B&B that I have ever occupied. I have had worse breakfasts in a four star hotel and it was cooked to perfection. Later: they returned by post an item that I had left behind, which I take to be another big "tick" in the box and most would not have done in my experience.

On arrival, we were greeted by our host, Susan, a very warm and friendly person. The rooms were a good size, nicely furnished and with comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from, whether you wanted continental or full English. The full English was so fresh and tasty and the portions were generous. We really enjoyed our stay, at this cosy little family run establishment. Thank you so much!

Wow!! Without a doubt, it was the best B&B we've ever stayed in. Susan's attention to detail is superb. From her initial welcome to our departure , nothing was overlooked or too much trouble. Beautifully clean rooms with all the extras you could wish for, an absolutely delicious, well presented, full English breakfast . Proper, home laundered bedding that smelt gorgeous, which complemented the most comfortable of beds. You get the picture, I could go on and on, but the best thing anyone can do is to pay Susan's place a visit!! You will not be disappointed!!

Absolutely nothing!!! There wasn't a single thing that remotely needed anything negative written.

I stayed here for 5 weeks whilst doing a #BuildingHeroes course in Ibstock. the accommodation was outstandingly comfortable and Susan and Michael were the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. I was in Rm 3 the whole 5 weeks, the bed was excellent and the water always hot. Treats were provided along with the usual tea, coffee, etc. Although evening meals were not provided, Susan gave full access to the dining room for visitors the bring in their own meals and allowed me to keep items in her personal fridge/freezer. One of my most memorable trips and I will always return here if I’m ever in the region again ❤️

Lovely friendly welcome from Susan. Room was to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and well presented. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked, delicious and tailored to dietary requirements. The location is great for accessing surrounding major cities and local historical attractions. We were visiting the NEC the next day for a show and it was a 40 minute easy and enjoyable drive through the beautiful countryside in the morning. Without the stress of crawling commuter traffic on busy A roads. We enjoyed chatting with Susan, followed her recommendations for a pub meal in the evening, and sat in the garden afterwards as it was a warm evening. There were lots of options a short drive away and options in the immediate area. Definitely our first choice when we are visiting the local area, we will be back. Understand why the Post House has lots of loyal customers.

The moment you enter the courtyard you're on beautiful & well kept grounds. It's so inviting and welcoming from the moment you step foot onto the property. The host was amazing & friendly, provided us with a thorough tour of the property, we explained we were attending Download Festival for the day and requested an early check in, our room was ready for us 2 hours earlier than the original early check in we had which allowed us to travel to the festival and not miss anything. The property was clean and the room very spacious. The extra touches in the bathroom with the cotton pads, sponges etc was also great & the chocolate left on our bed was a lovely touch too. Over all a great experience and I would definitely visit again. Personally the host, Susan was the best part of our experience during our stay at The Post House.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the post house. It is an excellent bed and breakfast establishment. Susan the owner goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. Secure parking, lovely comfortable bedrooms and a breakfast that is one of the best I have ever had. I will stay at the post house again when in the area and have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending it.

Everything was fine

The room was comfortable. A little dated. The owners were very helpful and accommodating when I running later than planned. The breakfast was good.plenty of choice. Free Wi-Fi worked well.

The room was quite small and furniture was dated. Decor not modern. Some noisy guests, not the owners fault. The bathroom shower leaked, but I mopped it up. If you are tall you would struggle with bathroom entrance, I’m not so I was fine Stairs to room, quite difficult with bags and uneven floors

Breakfast was superb, Bathroom was excellent, room was neat and tidy, option to have room cleaned daily if desired. Toiletries provided included sponge, shampoo, shower gel etc. Clean towels, room had some beverages including tea, coffee, chocolate drink, biscuits and chocolate. Host mentioned if more refreshments was needed you can request for more. Secure parking within a gated compound. There is facility for electric car charging (separate charge according to usage).

Eating hot food in your room is discouraged. Although guests can use the breakfast serving area anytime with microwave, plates and utensils provided. I personally didn't have an issue with this.
