This is the best place to stay if you are visiting Plitvice National Park . I had read some dodgy reviews so wasn't expecting much , but we were pleasantly surprised. It was clearly built in communist times and is a little bit dated, but the rooms are large, clean, have very good quality bedding, large bathrooms , new TV, big windows , free safe parking , substantial buffet breakfast included and your park ticket gets validated so you get 2 days to visit Plitvice for the price of one. We arrived in the afternoon at 3pm and went straight to the park and saw the lower lakes until 7pm. Then the next morning we had breakfast at 7am, checked out and were at the Upper Lakes by 7.45am .We left our luggage in our car but they have storage available. There is a path next to the hotel which leads down the hill about 200m to Entrance number 2 .A big surprise was the restaurant for dinner. It had very reasonable prices, excellent service, silver service, nice decor and delicious food. One of our best meals in Croatia.There is no kettle in the room but there is an urn where you can get hot water for a cup of tea - just bring your teabags.

In terms of closeness to Plitvice National Park nothing compares to this hotel. Staff was professional and even friendly. Parking was also excellent.

1. The hotel is well kept, but showing signs of its age as it was last remodeled in 2011. It should have been remodeled again during COVID. 2. Summers can get hot -yes even in the mountains. The complete lack of Air Conditioning is somewhat understandable from the past, but moving forward into a warmer world this hotel needs a an AC retrofit. 3. The breakfast/brunch room - it definitely has a cafeteria vibe and the food needs to be more rendered - who wants to sit there and peel a kiwi by hand.

The location is brilliant for going into the park with entrance 2 a very short stroll away. The food was good with lovely choices for breakfast and dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful such as providing a shuttle service to the bus stop so you didn’t have to walk on the very busy road.

It would be good if the hotel provided information about how best to get to them. They are between entrance 1 and 2 bus stops. You cannot walk to the hotel as the road is very busy and dangerous from the bus stop. But you can walk to the hotel via the back road and this has not been made clear.

We are like staff/ Ladies were sone nice and gave some ideas how to spend a time, explained that hotel will extend entry tickets to the waterfall areas for free, etc. Actually, we were reading many negative reviews on tripadvisor and had a bit of concerns. Thanks to God, it was irrelevant! We were aware that style of the facility from last century, so no anything other we expected. But everything was clean, nice. Room, bathroom compartment, tableware - all was good! As well as in our package was included sauna! It was also very nice experience after longer journey walking. So, all in all you have to see hotel pictures. If you are ok with the style, then you don't have to be worried about cleanness or anything else. Breakfast also is ok (not much variety, but for sure it is not bad). Good luck to you :) P.S. Btw, they have nice deserts in the bar.

The location was wonderfull for Plitvice lakes 2 minutes walk to the mid bus stop ST2 And 5 minutes to the main boat stop The staff were nice and helpful They stamped our one day lake pass so we got another day exploring They organised a driver to take us to a nearby resteraunt owned by the hotel free The car park was massive and we could leave our car as long as we wanted

No water or kettle in the room We bought some at the bar for €4•84 Should have free water Although not scruffy the hotel seamed stuck in. A time warp Like ex soviet block But as we had limited time it's extra expense was worth it for us

The south entrance of Plitvice Park is just a short walk downhill from the hotel. From the balcony of our room the park’s waterfall and the northeast part of the lake could be viewed. The shuttle bus stop and the boat dock are both very near. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces. We had both breakfast (buffet) and dinner (a la carte menu). They tasted very good. We filled our tummy full with breakfast so that we did not need snacks or lunch while hiking on the park’s trails. The staff were very polite and helpful. There was a souvenir shop for convenience as well. Due to the hotel’s location, you can start your hiking earlier than crowds.

While the room and its facilities were very clean and functional, they seemed of traditional mountain area lodging lacking modern style.

The hotel experience was delightful, set in a stunning location within the national park. Just a three minute walk from the hotel to Station 1, we enjoyed a scenic ride to Station 2, followed by a pleasant walk to the big waterfall. Our room was exceptionally clean, featuring a comfortable bed and a beautiful view that enhanced our stay. The breakfast offered was reasonable, providing enough variety to start our day. Additionally, there was ample free parking, which made our visit hassle-free. The staff were notably polite, friendly, and helpful, contributing significantly to our positive experience. Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for those looking to explore the national park while enjoying comfortable accommodations.

Breakfast was great. The staff was really accommodating and helpful. We were snowed in and stranded for another night. We were given a bigger room at a discounted rate. The staff drove us to the bus stop in the heavy snow and picked us up again when the bus did not show up. They helped us in getting a taxi to drive us to our next destination when the road was opened. We really appreciate all their help and hospitality. Would stay here again definitely.

Maybe get rid of the bathtub? It was quite difficult for my wife to get in and out of the shower with the bathtub. Other than that it was great.

To our surprise, we were upgraded to the junior suite, which was a very nice and quiet room with everything we could need, including electric kettle, coffee and tea, minibar and safe.The bed , in particular, was extremely comfortable. To our further surprise, the cost of our accommodation was 30% less than what was quoted by Booking as we were given a 30% off-season discount. The reception staff were kind and professional. Breakfast was good and abundant, as well as the dinner buffet at 22 euros each. Location is unbeatable and you also get free parking.

The shower is over the bath and this is an issue.

Hotel Jezero was conveniently located next to entrance #2 of Plitvice National Park. If you are arriving by bus, it drops you at entrance 1 where there is a ranger station with folks to answer any questions. They call the hotel, and a driver quickly comes to pick you up at no charge. If arriving by car, you can park in front of the hotel. Only a 2 minute walk from the hotel to the ticket and information offices for Plitvice, then you are set to see the beautiful waterfalls. The room was fine. Nothing fancy, but has everything one needs. The gym did not appear to be open, and the machines looked old. This is not a luxury hotel, if that is what you are looking for, but nice accommodation all the same. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a huge variety.

There were loud guests in the room below mine who sat outside in the cold to smoke until 3am, allowing their loud conversation to be heard, which made it difficult to sleep. When I called the desk after asking them to go inside myself, the management asked again. All was then quiet. The management was efficient and went out of their way for guests.
