Very comfortable bed, very quiet, big size room, fantastic shower, good location, convenient parking attached to hotel.
The breakfast was not great- coffee was poor, the choice was limited. The room was a bit dull , in dark colours , a bit sad.

The room we stayed in with myself and two kids under 2 and a half was brilliant. Probably more suited to a romantic getaway, but transformed into a kids play area nicely. A spacious living and bed area separated by a large couch was perfect for keeping the kids entertained. A cot fully assembled and ready to house a cranky 10 month old was a sight for sore eyes. It was fantastic to have washing machine and a dryer at my disposal for all the blessing kids leave on and in their clothes.
I would have loved to have a stove top in the kitchen area. I found myself turing into the Gordon Ramsay of the microwave world by the end of the stay. And although the room had a nice bar fridge fully stacked, I had to clear it out to fill it with mini yogurts snacks and other kid snacks. Also, that was not the fun way of clearing out a bar fridge. All minor dislikes, but also probably my fault for having a man look at the room on the website.

Spacious, light, warm, beautiful room well-stocked with high-quality teas and coffees and mini-bar. Comfortable bed, lots of lighting options including the cool indigo bathing/night-light in the bathroom for different needs and moods. Well-designed room both in function, space and decor. The Parcels Restaurant; it's food and it's service - wonderful! Including the envelope-folded serviettes! Lots of cool touches! And would love more photos around the place of the old post-office days - these were cool.
The bed mattress did seem to have a slight 'roll to the middle' issue, but not a big problem. The disappointing thing in this executive suite was the beautiful bath - looks incredible and everything about it is awesome like the taps and the shelf and how it looks but sadly such a big, rounded bath is not practical for sitting in as you slide about in it too much and cannot find a comfortable and stable position to sit in.

Accommodation on the 8th floor in the junior suite was excellent . Good bathroom products, slippers and chocolates. Handy on site bar and restaurant. Good location close to town.
One evening the bar area was restricted to general hotel guests with reserved signs on the available tables in favour of a small tour group to have pre dinner drinks. The restaurant seemed to be geared towards catering to tour groups to the detriment of general hotel guests who were asked to dine either earlier or later that the tour groups. We didn't want to eat before 6pm nor late in the evening and when we did dine at the requested time of 6:15pm it didn't seem to be a problem.

Room was modern and well appointed. Appreciated the washer and dryer in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and was included in our booking. Bed was comfortable and climate control in the room was perfect. Shower had a choice of two shower heads. Kitchenette included microwave and sink.
Parking was an extra $27 per day and was in a different building. Reception is at the rear of the building which we had to discover ourselves. Bar closes early so not somewhere to have a late night drink, you best get take away or room service. A G&T and a glass of wine cost $35.

The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. We loved the view from the glass sided lift. The undercover car park was opposite the hotel and convenient to use during our stay, and we got used to the one way streets around the hotel. There were good cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
We found the attitude and competence of the staff, both at reception and in the restaurant a little indifferent. Full of smiles and no action.

The hotel is a historic building and it's fantastic. The parking lot is right across from the hotel. When you check in, just give the parking card you took to the front desk to pay, it's a bit over 20 NZD per night. The room is really spacious and amazing, with a view of the coastline from one corner. There’s a washer and dryer in the room, which are super convenient to use.
The parking ticket is very prone to malfunctioning. Each time I tried to insert the ticket into the machine at the parking lot exit, it didn’t work. I had to park the car again and go back to the front desk to refresh the ticket before I could leave. I saw several other people having the same issue in the parking lot.

The staff were all very friendly and ever so helpful. We were going to have dinner in the restaurant but decided on room service and the entire menu was available which was a bonus. The meals we orderd were absolutely delicious and couldn't fault any of it.
We enjoyed a drink in the lounge/bar area, only small thing was it didn't feel much like a bar/lounge area as it's attached to the restaurant, felt slightly dated. However the service of the staff made up for that completely.

Great, comfortable and amazing facilities. The room had everything that you would need, thanks for the razor (its the one thing I forgot to bring!). Also the breakfast was really good and had something for everyone, our kids very much enjoyed this, so thank you!. Staff were really helpful, friendly and approachable. Thanks team!
Only issue was that the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't seem to work or was very week, meaning that the whole bathroom quickly got foggy and wet/damp.

The rooms are great, even the studio room is very spacious with a washing machine and drier in the bathroom. Bed was very soft but comfy. Lots of storage, great for longer stays. Gym is quite good for a hotel one. Staff are lovely and very attentive. I visit Dunedin regularly and this is one of my top places to stay. The showers are amazing!
The tv channels are basic and boring. I really hope they upgrade this and add chromecast. Breakfast could be better, particularly with some more gluten free options.
