Yankee has been around for generations - it’s the same truly “Berkshire’s Home” feel but has been updated and remodeled to meet and exceed current-day standards. Stay here to support an excellent business and truly capture the charm of the Berkshires. The comfort achieved at Yankee is not typically found in hotel stays today. Free breakfast (hot and cold) was extensive and delicious. Room was immaculately clean. Came with cozy working gas fireplace, balcony with view and seating. Bathroom was newly renovated and beautiful - walk in shower, detachable (hand-held) shower head, all the toiletries at generous amounts. Extra pillows and towels!! Comfortable bed with plenty of places to sit, study, put things down in the room. Temperature control is actually in the guests' control and supplied by independent unit. Appreciated the selection of food in lobby pantry for purchase at any time - easy to stay fed with microwave, freezer and refrigerator in the room. Yankee even has their own travel brochures available for free for guests to use to discover the area and eat well. Amble and well-lit parking right out front. Also on site: a small bar (doubles as a sports viewing area), indoor pool (there’s an outside pool too), gym and lobby bathrooms - didn’t use these features but checked in and was impressed. Great location, right on Rt-7 and next to a shopping complex with dining, groceries, pharmacy (CVS) and stores for last minute “oops, forgot to pack (insert item here)”. Most of all - the staff are such genuinely kind and warm people. They were the reason we booked here in the first place and they delivered beyond expectation.

The staff was welcoming, friendly, and professional. The room was clean, and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony experiencing the cool fall weather. The bed, pillows and linens were clean and comfortable. TV, Heater, and shower worked well. Bathroom was clean and safe. Lots of clean towels, housekeeping was great. The breakfast was good with a variety of food. The grounds were well kept and well lighted. Beautiful scenery behind the building of mountains, woods, and pond. Best of both worlds with scenic beauty but near lots of great restaraunts, stores and businesses. We hope we come back to the Berkshires again and stay here!

We have no complaints whatsoever!

The location was great for exploring Lenox and surrounding towns, Tanglewood, Rockwell Museum, The Mount, and the Botantical Gardens. Also, close to Guido's Market (for provisions to take to Tanglewood picnic) and Electra's Cafe (for a quick lunch before check-in). The chairs in the back facing the wildlike santuary were fabulous!!! Very peaceful to enjoy the morning or early evening. Lots of breakfast choices! Breakfast staff was very attentive.

The breakfast area was undergoing renovation so very crowded...really not enough room for all guests. It was OK to sit ourside at the few tables...some people were just on benches in the hallway balancing their food. It will be great when renovation is finished. Air conditoner in room was quite old and very noisy. Difficult to regulate.

Our room was lovely. We enjoyed the easy-to-run fireplace, as the weather was unseasonably rainy and cold. We had friends over for a drink , and they were impressed with the size, look and comfort of the room. We were lucky that all renovations had been completed in our room. Fortunately it was a corner room, and we were able to park right outside our room.

I expect that renovations will be continuing for awhile. The bar was unavailable. The breakfast room was mostly complete. There were piles of construction debris outside and a little inside. The outside needs some work, so we were a bit taken aback upon arrival. But as soon as we entered, the very friendly and helpful staff person made us feel welcome. And of course our room was perfect.

We had a very enjoyable short stay at this hotel. It’s conveniently located near many restaurants and just a short drive from the event we were attending. The front desk staff were consistently polite and welcoming, no matter who was on duty. Breakfast was a typical American spread, but everything was fresh and tasty. There was a great variety: coffee, tea, apple and orange juice, cinnamon rolls, danishes, muffins, scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, bananas, oranges, yogurt, and a few cereal options. My kids were hoping for waffles, but unfortunately, the machine wasn’t available during our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. My kids especially enjoyed the large heated pool and hot tub. The atmosphere was peaceful, and other guests were respectful and quiet. The hotel is undergoing renovations, and I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements on the older sections. We only had to ask for an extra toothbrush—everything else met or exceeded our expectations. There also wasn’t any lingering odor like we’ve experienced in some other hotels.

Small breakfast area. A little over-priced.

The staff were very responsive to a problem we had in our room shortly after our arrival. There was an electrical problem late at night, the night before Christmas Eve when it was freezing outside. The staff responded immediately and two attempts did not resolve the issue so we were upgraded to a much more comfortable room without any fuss or extra cost. Also, the breakfast was good and the location was great

When I made the reservation it wasn't made clear that the room we booked was in a separate building. To access the pool/tub and breakfast we had to walk across the parking lot. We were in the area for a ski trip over Christmas and it was freezing temperatures. Of course, this may have been my mistake and I just didn't notice however, if I had known before making the reservation it would have affected my choice. As it turned out we experienced an electrical problem in the room shortly after arriving and were upgraded into the main building which made our stay much more pleasant. Plus, there were a lot of tiny ants in and around the hot tub which wasn't very pleasant. I was looking for a pool/hot tub when deciding where to stay and was disappointed when we tried using the hot tub.

The front desk folks were very friendly! The room was clean and we loved the shower. Beds good, pillows good. We had a little balcony, which was pleasant to sit on because we had some good weather.

The breakfast was a step up from some places, but always the same. It was obviously not freshly cooked; it sat in heating pans. The signage for getting into the hotel parking lot was fine in the daytime but dangerously invisible after dark. You have to cross a fairly busy road, and it's tough to see where the entrance is.

Large refrigerator with a separate freezer plus a microwave 4. Made-to-order omelets for weekend breakfasts. 5. Easy, secure parking; good & safe location. 6. Hot breakfast options. 7. Good a/c.

1. Same boring breakfast M-F. Need to AT LEAST have 2 weekdays with different types of meat/eggs. Please also have AT LEAST 2 types of bagels. Everything was THE SAME….day after day, including the fruit. 2. Handicap room NEEDS MORE HOOKS in bathroom. NO place to hang towels, etc. Only 1 hook on back of door, & it had hair dryer bag on it so no space for a towel. 3. Drain in handicap shower inadequate for amount of water coming from shower head. Didn’t find any way to adjust the volume of water, so flooded the bathroom.

Handicap accessible. Clean. Good sized room. Comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Close to many attractions. Easy checkin/out. Nice amenities such as a fitness room, 2 pools, hot tub and a pub. I would definitely come back.

To make the pool enjoyable for everyone you should install a lift chair on the indoor pool. The beds in the handicap rooms shouldn't be so high (some have difficulty getting on them) and staff shouldn't park in illegal spots blocking handicap vehicles.

The room was modern and so comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and everything felt more luxe than I expected. There was also a little patio with two adirondack chairs and it was lovely to sit out there in the morning with my coffee (from the full breakfast bar) to start my day.

There was a bit of a line at check in given other folks arriving in town for Tanglewood concert that evening. However, I will say that the staff was incredibly professional and friendly, even dealing with a rude customer in a way that I would not have been able to with such skill.
