Well kept independent motor lodge. Hard, comfortable mattress and new furniture. Clean bathroom and linens. Nice soap and shampoo provided. Pool looked nice but we didn’t have time to use it. Set back from a fairly quiet road.

Walls were a little thin. TV was old and had snow (but not unwatchable). Carpet a little frayed at the doorstep.

Room was nicely renovated and clean. The pool area could use a little work but water was clean and refreshing on a very hot day. A nice “mom & pop” property conveniently located on a well maintained grounds. Very affordable.

Front desk manager not particularly friendly. Coffee supplies were quite depleted (cups & creamers etc) early in the morning. If the coffee wasn’t meant for the guests, perhaps they shouldn’t have the coffee station in the public area. Aside from that, just what I was hoping for. I love “mom & pop” motels!

This is our fifth year staying here (maybe longer?). We continue to come because the rooms are always clean and everything works just fine, we have stayed at other similar motels in Pittsfield, Lenox, Lee and Lanesborough, and this one is nicer than all the others of the same ilk - and cheaper. It's also really convenient to downtown Pittsfield. Cleaning staff is really nice and does a great job.

It's not the hotel's fault! You have to drive to most things - even walkable things like Clapp Park and the grocery store, and Pittsfield center, aren't so walkable because of the traffic, and it's hard to make that left on the main road to get out (pro tip - make the right, then either turn around at Clapp Park or make the right and another right at the stoplight to avoid turning left). The front desk staff is not the most friendly and kind of rigid, but it's fine, they aren't mean or anything like that!

Nice grassy area around the pooll with picnic tables to sit outside.

Skimpy on towels. Asked for 2 extra as we each needed one for head & one for body. They brought 2 in and took clean ones out, so we still only had 2 towels, one each. Dahhh The pool water was clean but the tiles and lip of the pool in some areas needs some repair. Good enough for the price.

Upgraded rooms with good mattress and bathroom fixtures. Pool was also very nice on a hot day. The couple are really trying to make it work.

Breakfast is not provided as advertised on Booking.com but I believe this is a matter of staffing and the facilities really don’t allow for it. Hot water was a bit slow to kick in.

I often stay here when I'm in town. I had to come back quickly for a family emergency unsure of how many nights I needed. I booked one, checked in late, and last minute needed to stay an additional night. The owner very graciously let me extend my stay. I was able to be where I was needed and will probably stay another day next week.

The room was a nice size. It was clean. The lighting was good. The parking was very convenient.

Microwave, no microwaveable mugs. I could only turn up the heat so far. I would have preferred it a bit warmer. It would have been nice to have an extra blanket in the room. 1 body size towel each person. If I were going to wash my hair I would need a total of 3 towels.

We have stayed here several times over as many years because the rooms are always clean and very comfortable; the towels are thick and soft; plenty of pillows; the staff are pleasant and accommodating; all the rooms are ground floor level with parking in front of your door. We really like the grounds. There is a large lawn with trees that surrounds the pool and it looks very pretty and the whole property sits well up and off the busy street level on a hill that is kind of tucked into a residential neighborhood so it feels more private. We have often eaten our snacks or breakfasts that we brought from McDonald’s (about a mile away) at a picnic table under a tree on this lawn. It is walking distance to a few local eateries on W. Housatonic St. or a little longer walk or short drive that takes you to Ben & Gerry’s ice cream on South Street or eateries on North Street. The Colonial Theater is also within walking distance. This is a well kept “Mom and PoP’ style motel.

Honestly, if we really disliked something about this motel, we wouldn’t keep coming back.

The location is great walkable area and close to downtown. I like that the room is cleaned every day without having to ask. Check in and check out is easy.

Minor things, but the sink design isn't great (hard to wash yr face the way it is positioned) and the slightly raised floor to the bathroom is a small tripping hazard.

The bathroom needs a handrail for the shower and the toilet. The floor tile is VERY VERY VERY slippery. There is a 1/2" lip between the sink room and the bathroom. My toe hit it very hard a few times. I believe I broke my toe. I rubber mat between the two rooms could solve this at a minimal cost. There is no USB outlet, anywhere. I did not realize the rates were jumping up on weekends.
