Located on a highway about halfway between Lenox and Pittsfield, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and easy access to major attractions.

We had to stay on the second floor, which required going up a number of stairs. If that is a problem, I recommend letting the hotel now ahead of time.

The room is very spacious & clean, very good value for money. The round dining table was very good for us sitting round with enough chairs for 3 of us to eat & chat. The ceiling light over the dining table, provided sufficient lighting for that area. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful, friendly and cheerful, he was very considerate and given us an upstairs room. The place was easy to find. The shops are nearby, and very convenient, would come back and stay if we are passing this way again.

The microwave was not working, because the turntable was a wrong size, so couldn't use at all, it's not a big deal, as we were not cooking, and used the coffee machine to heat up the water for drinking.

Linens were clean sink/toilet/bathtub were clean, bed was comfy, convenient location. A/c worked perfectly, which was necessary given the 90+ temperatures. Great price for the location.

Was it the most clean place ever? No, but it's the cheapest hotel in the area and the most important things were clean (sheets, towels/sink/toilet/bathtub) so that's what matters. Floors weren't clean in the corners, cigarette burns on the duvet, but I didn't care about either of those things.

The room was well kept & clean & whatever renovations were done, it's very pleasant to stay there. Surprised me in fact since have passed this motel for decades without staying there before. You asked about the view--the view is of the swimming pool & Rtes 7 & 20 going by--pleasant enough.

The price was bad. Found after I'd booked that rooms were going for much less if one dealt directly with the motel, or so I was told by a friend checking online who was horrified at what I paid ($203/night).

Large room. Comfortable chairs and decent lighting. Quiet, clean.

Electrical outlets need to be fixed for plugging in chargers. Oddly too big for plugs. Too many extension cords.probably not the safest idea Sheets did not fit beds so messy. Need some fitted sheets for Queen beds. These seem to be top sheets but not large enough. Didn’t eat breakfast here. Area very unappealing.

The room was very large and very clean. The refrigerator was nice . The only thing that we didn’t like was the electrical outlets . They would not hold the appliance plug in. The breakfast was good some days and sparse others . We were not expecting a large breakfast. For the money it was nice to have a large, clean room where we could have a table and a fridge and eat in our room at night.

The beautiful pool! Comfortable king bed. The location was great! Near the music venue we attended. The staff were friendly and accommodating!

The room darkening curtains had some holes in them, looked liked they needed to be replaced. Also one wall looked like it needed new paint or wall paper.

Exceptionally clean and friendly and surprisingly quiet. Coffee and very simple continental breakfast was perfectly ok for a start to the day. Nothing like the yummy expensive patisserie downtown but free and easy. Despite double price for Tanglewood concert night, it was cheaper than almost anything in town. Competent vintage Howard Johnson style. No historic charm, but 10 minutes away. Housekeeping excellent.

Out of town in commercial area, not enough accessible plugs for electronics. Wifi marginal. Pool not working.

Our expectations were not very high, so we were surprised at the level of accommodation. The room was the largest of any of the 10 hotels we stayed at on a 14 day trip. The towels were the softest of any other hotel, and the breakfast was better than we anticipated. Considering the other high-priced alternatives in Lenox, HJ was a treat.

While the second floor corner room was quiet, an elevator would have been nice. Parking for the second floor can be a problem as space near the stairs is at a premium. The A/C unit was an either on or off affair, but that was pretty common in many of the hotels.

The coffee was great.

It was minimal, at best--microwave oatmeal or choice of two dry cereals. There was no fruit. There was no protein, except for the milk on cereal or in coffee. The space for it was very cramped, tiny.
