The hotel has a very grand entry which really says something when you have a prime location that’s a lot of $ per square meter you know it’s going to be impressive so I’m checking in and I see a wedding party cars getting handed to the valet I feel like I’m in a movie so I said you know what I think tonight Michael I’m going to be Johnny deep as George young in the movie blow at least in my mind I was in character 😂 it was a busy day with the river view not possible and I was upgraded to a suite ! Omg the size of the suite was unreal there two big television sets and a guest bathroom near the entertainment area hey siri cancel my evening plans I’m good right here snacks and a mini mar a good selection of teas to sip and watch some Netflix then wow I slept like a baby it was an outstanding mattress once I’d checked out and had a sip of my morning coffee I was overwhelmed by a sense of gratitude for that experience this was a genuine example of world class hospitality right here in Adelaide
I couldn’t say I disliked anything during my stay it was great from entry to exit and I’ve just got to come back one weekend soon thanks 🙏🏼

Really loved the location, the room was fantastic and the shower was incredible. We have never experienced such amazing pressure and precision with a shower. The bathroom was beautiful and was accompanied by robes and slippers. Upon check in, we were advised that we were being upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. The 21st floor had an amazing view of the city with the beauty of the night lights streaming through the widow. Can't wait to stay again.
The bed was a little uncomfortable as it wasn't as soft as what we are used to. The area set out for meals was a little noisy and crowded. During breakfast, it seemed that some people are unaware of personal space, and encroached on my space while hugging another person. I couldn't lean back or move my chair backwards to get up from the table. So much for social distancing.

Upon our arrival late last Wedn night Jan 21 st we’ve encountered some unexpected issues with our room Have notified the night supervising officer who attended to the problems immediately and most efficiently the issue in question which was a little distressing esp. considering out tiredness / it was nearly midnight, has been attended to and solved within minutes and we have even been upgraded to a superior accomodation and given a little more extended check out time next day We were very impressed with the Intercontinental and their treatment of their guests

The staff and services were 10/10. Staff were very attentive, met our needs and were very helpful. Room was comfortable and spacious. The options of facilities at the hotel were great. Inclusive breakfast, dinner, gym etc. Location was perfect to move around the city!
Overall the hotel needs upgrading, areas are beginning to show signs of wear but I think the cost of the room alleviated this as it was quite affordable for the services and facilities. Would prefer more advertising on parking options. When booking it said I could park but options were either valet or offsite parking with variable cost. Would be good to know this before arriving.

Location was superb! Center of CBD, with heaps of options to walk the river, Botanical Gardens, tones of restaurants , and the free tram right across the street! Also, the outdoor pool was so so nice to have, and the workout facility had loads of equipment, free weights, nautilus, a wide variety of cardio, including bike, stepper, eliptical, treadmill.
I realize it was in the mid 30's, but the air con was non-existent in our room. I'm thankful I asked for a fan the first day as this helped a lot. There is not enough counter space in the bathroom, nor around the coffee/icebox area, but we made the best of it.

I can not begin to describe how much I thoroughly enjoyed my stay whilst visiting Adelaide and residing at InterContinental. As a solo traveller - and first-time visitor to the city - the excitement of adventure can sometimes be stifled by dread and/or unease; but not here. From the moment I entered the doors, to the instance I checked out (and even after, having left an item in my room and the gentleman at the front desk personally retrieving it for me - I didn't catch his name, but he was more than helpful), I felt comfortably at home and almost as if I were family. The location alone is one to be admired. I spent just about my entire weekend exploring the city, frequently stopping back off at the hotel/my room which was incredibly convenient. A short work to the CBD, The Adelaide Oval right over the river, a train and tramline out the front of the hotel, this establishment is the ideal location for long and short trips, and I am already planning my next visit, to which I am eager and excited to return here as my home base.

Location was superb for gather round. Booked sight unseen and could not believe our luck in proximity to all the action. Facilities and meals were spot on and the pool was gorgeous.
No complaints, vending machine for snacks and cold drinks would have been handy, woman running bar on the Friday night after the game was very rude and made it clear we were an annoyance. But saw she treated many the same. Disappointing. A normal bar setup would have been good . Rather than order ad get drinks delivered. In saying that we only went to the bar once.

We liked the view of the River (an additional cost for rooms on the river side of the hotel), and the five star facilities (albeit reflected in the price). Valet parking ($60 a day) was handled very efficiently, as we came and went several times, and virtually all staff were friendly and efficient. The bedding was clean and comfortable, with fluffy towels and good quality toiletries, as should be expected in a hotel of this kind.
Our room and a few other parts of the hotel were a little tired (new carpet, re-paint and some minor repairs needed). The room service meals were fairly basic for the price paid, and the phone for room service wasn't answered for 15 continuous minutes of trying - I eventually had to go to the front desk to order, receiving the meal 50 minutes after the first attempt to order it by phone.

Charming staff, very accommodating. Lovely gesture to be offered a glass of champagne on arrival whilst waiting to check in due to it being busy. But all desks were manned so made check in very smooth. The location is key as it is very central to event areas, especially NYE. We got to view the fireworks from our room so that was very special. The shower had amazing water pressure, god I loved that! The breakfast buffet was expansive with every taste catered for.
Unfortunately at breakfast the coffee didn’t taste nice so I ordered another one with different milk but the bitterness was still there. The staff at breakfast were reasonably friendly but many seemed stressed. I accidentally bumped into a staff member cleaning drips from the baked beans tray and she gave out a shout! I was taken aback and apologised profusely but she wouldn’t make eye contact and said nothing. Not great in a hospo environment. Can’t fault the food though, so much on offer and all was delicious.

The hotel was very well located for the Convention Centre, Rundle Mall, Sky Casino and Adelaide Oval. Lots of dining and drinking options close by. During my four-night stay at the Intercontinental Adelaide in Room 2115, I found the experience to be generally pleasant, although the room felt a bit dated. The décor and furnishings could use an update, but the essentials for a comfortable stay were available. The standout aspect of the room was the bed, with its mattress and pillows offering exceptional comfort. This made it easy to relax and get a good night's sleep.
There were several aspects of my stay that didn’t quite meet expectations. The hotel room could definitely benefit from a refresh, as the decor felt quite dated and the carpet appeared grubby, which negatively affected the overall experience. Additionally, the in-room coffee machine didn’t work during my stay. I reached out for assistance but, unfortunately, received no support in resolving the issue. Another point of disappointment was the room service. After ordering on the first night, I expected the used tray and leftover food to be removed during the next day’s housekeeping service. However, this wasn’t done, which left the room feeling untidy. I think you should look into an electronic delivery of the days charges rather than by paper under the door.
