the actual staff at the longshoot were very helpful, professional and seemed to care for their patrons. Food is excellent.
the service we received from booking.com was terrible. When we booked it, a pop up box came up and asked if we would like to add breakfast at a special rate, so we paid the extra. When we got to the longshoot, we were told that we did not have breakfast, so i explained about the box that popped up, and as it was bank holiday weekend, they were unable to check, but they did give us both free breakfast for two days, which they didn't have to, and we thought that was a lovely touch. I WONT BE USING BOOKING.COM AGAIN. you cant get hold of anyone, no contact details, just a rubbish online chat to a bot.

The hotel room was spacious and clean and was refreshed daily. We did make a reservation mistake but that was dealt with on the day we arrived but unfortunately it was not passed on to the hotel staff and only had one bath towel instead of two. We paid the extra fees for the breakfast but did not know that you could pay for a continental as my wife does not eat a full English breakfast. There was also not any muesli on offer apart from cereal. Breakfast was cooked to order for me and was very tasty. The restaurant was very good and the buffet was one of the best we have had and reasonable price under £10. Overall we had a great stay it was just a pity that the staff was not informed that there was two people staying.

Room fairly quiet despite being by main road and comfortable as always. Liked the hand held shower rather than an overhead shower as in some of the rooms.
The toilet roll holder on the wall was at shoulder height -and hurt! and with very little room to access so the roll was always falling behind the toilet bowl! The spare one was fixed slightly behind on the back wall and didn't press into one's shoulder!! Perhaps fixing a holder behind the door would help. The depth of the towel rail /radiator would stop it damaging the wall itself. The towel rail radiator wasn't fixed - came away from the wall - not a problem in summer but could be a problem in winter

I like the motel style, much more convenient to pop out than a maze of corridors. The lady on reception was very friendly and the room was immaculately clean. Amazingly comfortable bed too. It's simple, clean and efficient.
The doors are ridiculous, far too heavy and extremely noisy when closing. On a previous stay I trapped a finger and about chopped it off, I've stayed here probably 6 times now and I'm paranoid about it!

This was our second stay & it was perfect 👍 The rooms are a good size, clean & well decorated. It has everything you need, including a proper hairdryer, iron & ironing board & tea tray. Comfy big bed with great pillows & a good size TV. We had breakfast which was very nice, the Full English was massive !!! This hotel is nicer than most Travel Lodges & is definitely better value. We had a great stay & will always choose The Longshoot when in the area 😃
Nothing it was perfect.

Easy check in to US Motel style accommodation behind The Longshoot pub. Ground and first floor open walkways to access nice, warm, comfy rooms. Incredibly low priced black Friday deal. £65 B & B with substantial nice breakfast for two. Great nights sleep and comfy bed.
The exterior of the accommodation wasnt pretty, but was clean well maintained and functional For this price and the nice friendly staff, there were no negatives.

Room was nice, clean and comfy, had all the bits i needed, like an iron and board, hair dryer etc. tea & coffee facilities.
the one thing is that the doors when leaving your room, you have to lock from the inside then close the door but because the door is now locked you then have to slam the door to close, but its really really loud and every room is the same, the key does not lock the door so you can hear a lot slamming of doors.

Breakfast was ok. Choice of pastries/ toast, yoghurts, fruit juice plenty teas/ coffee and cooked beakfast choices. I asked for poached eggs - not a specific choice on menu - but they were great.
Room hot ( but then so was the weather) and room closer to main road than I had before, so noisier. Fan provided tho. Car park very full but restaurant had space for one.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The bed/mattress and pillows were comfy making for a comfortable night’s sleep. We were pleased that we could order exactly what we wanted for breakfast as we didn’t fancy a “full english “.
I know it’s convenient having a flask of hot water for making tea, but we would have preferred a freshly brewed pot of tea as the water in the flasks just aren’t hot enough for a decent cuppa.
