The breakfast was delicious but very limited. There was a choice of either overnight oats or yogurt parfait. I am a fan of both but it is definitely not for everyone. The addition of fresh baked muffins and perhaps fruit would round it out nicely.

We booked the suite and were very happy with our accommodations. We both agreed that there was limited space to keep your clothing etc. There are no dressers in the bedroom and the closet had only 4 hangers. We ended up using the daybed in the small bedroom as a surface to spread out our luggage and clothing. ( This would not have been an option if we had a third guest with us). This room would benefit from a row of hooks to hang clothing on. The bathroom could definitely benefit from a surface besides the pedestal sink to put ones toiletries on and a row of hooks or a few more towel racks to hang wet towels etc in.

Perfectly charming setting in a beautifully designed and restored Nantucket charmer. The decor was beautiful, the staff was delightful and very helpful. The mornings began with a light breakfast of coffee, yogurt & granola parfait or overnight oats with fresh berries, as well as croissants and jam, which you could enjoy in the living area or out on a delightful courtyard patio. The pre-dinner hours were for wine, again enjoyed in the common spaces. The location was supremely wonderful, a quiet street just a half block from the shops and restaurants, a couple of blocks to Main Street. We walked everywhere in town, and enjoyed taxi service to get around the island, which the staff helped us arrange. They also provided bikes to explore the island with as well. Wonderful stay - I highly recommend.

Our room #3 was beautiful and large, but it was right by the stairs so we could hear people coming in at late hours while we were sleeping. So sound wise - not ideal, but style wise adorable. Only 2 rooms are by the stairs and many other more private locations in the inn.

This year we decided to stay in the historic district. We selected Blue Iris based on its location - in the historic district but not in the center of all of the hustle and bustle. We made an excellent choice! The staff is absolutely amazing which made our stay most enjoyable and stress-free. Tess, Sarah, Ali and Christian provided impeccable service, were super friendly, warm, and tended to our needs. We felt like part of a cozy family during our week long stay. Online photos of the property were accurate, bed comfy, and the toiletries aromatic. Morning coffee, croissant and parfait, and evening happy hour glass of bubbles or wine, were served on the fabulous outdoor patio or the small parlor/reception area. Beach towels and bikes afforded the opportunity to ride to Jetties and Steps Beaches. Short walk to The Wave made it easy to explore the island and its amenities. Perfect place to stay for couples and singles!

beautiful! comfortable, location. the coffee and breakfast was top quality. the robes were amazing and we all wanted to buy one but they weren’t for sale.

no tv in the main room. i don’t want people on my bed so we didn’t watch the movie that we had wanted too. bathroom door was too heavy and wouldn’t shut all the way.

We loved McKenzie and the breakfast was amazing. The Staff and other guests were friendly and the additional Happy Hour in the evening was a real plus. The location was perfect and the experience was magical

Nothing could have been better but the weather on Sunday.

They kindly gave me an upgrade to a King room which was spacious, tastefully furnished, and well appointed. Just a short walk from the ferry!

Noise travels! I realize the structure is a historic property, but I could hear practically every word of conversations in the reception area. (I had room #3 which was just inside the front door to the right.) The mattress could have also used replacing.

The property was cozy and close to town. Every evening we would cuddle by the fire on the back patio.

Fabulous decor, super-comfy rooms and the most wonderful staff who manage to get that mix of professionalism and friendliness just right - this is our second stay at a Life House hotel, the other was in Nantucket and the staff there were wonderful too

Air-con units are very noisy - we didn't use ours but you could hear the units from other rooms, sorted with earplugs though

We had such a wonderful stay at the newly renovated Blue Iris! The staff was above and beyond and I couldn’t have asked for better service. From calling us taxis to nightly cocktail hour they truly made our trip. The property was recently renovated and the design is to die for! They did such a great job and it had so many perfect little touches. We will undoubtedly be back!
