We loved how clean the hotel was, our request to have our hotel rooms near each other was accommodated to the best of their ability! We were very pleased. The staff was very friendly. The availability of the pool and hot tub was great!! A lot of the other hotels we looked into were pricey this was the cheapest and definitely made the price worth it. The location of the hotel was also perfect not too far from anything! We plan to come back to Bar Harbor and will definitely stay here again!

The distance from the pool & main lobby as we were in another building but it wasn't overall a big deal it was maybe a 3 min walk. haha Just mentioning something to mention. Would still stay here as the staff did their best to try and have us in the main building but then our rooms would not be next to each other. So we decided to stay in the other building with the rooms near each other. Again, not a deciding factor to not stay here.

Lovely little property, Clean and was great for our stay to explore this part of Maine. Loved the location to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The staff are friendly and helpful! The view from the front of the property, pool side were beautiful. Free laundry machines that you can use 24 hours. Free LLBean Shuttle bus that ran every 30 minutes to and from the center of Bar Harbour (7am - 10pm if i remember correctly) made a few stops at other hotels that probably took about 10 -15 minutes to get to town. If you were to miss the last bus back to the hotel, I am guessing a brisk 30 minute walk back on a very safe sidewalk. Felt very very safe in this location! We chose to eat our meals out and about to experience Local Maine dishes except for one breakfast which was good in the main restaurant.

This is a lovely little property!!! But... just dated. Very dark inside. New Carpet and paint everything that is brown, to a Happy seaside vibe would be a start - just my opinion :) The air-condition unit was loud. Really wished they had a little convenience shop for basics, snacks, drinks etc..

this hotel is very nice, in a coveted location (close to the city center) and offers splendid views over the islands and the ocean. Too bad that the desk and restaurant staff lack professional training and refuses to communicate. For instance we had to wait in line 15 minutes every morning before being ‘forced’ to sit on a breakfast table far from our choice (in a half empty room!) As a consequence we preferred to retreat and grab a bad coffee in a paper cup although our full breakfasts were pre-paid.

Property was conveniently located and provides excellent views from the pool area and from the dining room. Check-in desk personnel were extremely helpful and friendly. Accessible room was excellent. Complimentary laundry room and detergent Very comfortable beds and linen

Not allowed to have cocktails in the dining room, which has the view, even when it was almost completely empty. Cocktail area has no view. Tiki bar by pool has very limited hours- 1PM-4PM, and the harborside restaurant near the pool cannot provide beer or wine in a plastic cup, to use by the pool after the Tiki Bar closes. Laundry room has a few broken machines, making contention for the few that work somewhat tough.

We had an excellent experience at this hotel. Room was very clean and neat. Bed was comfortable. The only time we ate at the hotel was for breakfast and it was very good. Staff was very friendly and pleasant to us. The grounds of the hotel was clean and has a great view of the harbor. It’s well worth the time to walk around. Overall, my wife and I had a very good time at this hotel. I would highly recommend it.

Nothing. It was perfect.

Nice room, clean and comfortable beds. Very nice Pool and hot tub. Had dinner the last night at the restaurant and the prices were reasonable. Breakfast selection was minimal. Liked that they had a small grocery store for snack in the hotel. Free laundry and supplies which was really nice.

Front desk employees didn't know much about the town or area. I asked about Acadia and they didn't have any maps or suggestions.

The location was perfect , and the pool area was beautiful. Clean , nice rooms . Beautiful views of the water .

The tiki bar at the pool closed at 6pm ..after spending the daytime out hiking, and exploring it’s nice to have a drink in the hot tub or watch the sunset but the bar closed too early. It was expensive, but all hotels in the area are.

Paid for an ocean view and was great. But we were in the middle of the resort so the restaurant and other facilities were pretty close to directly outside the balcony and the AC unit was super loud. So couldn't hear anything (nature/ocean/wind/waves/etc.) when out there besides the sound of the loud AC humming/buzzing. So view nice, overall atmosphere on balcony was not inviting.

The location was good the use of a Shuttle bus to Bar Harbor was very helpful. The facilities were very clean and nice looking. Free folgers coffee was just ok to us. However, very thankful for the free coffee service in the lobby. The restaurants on premises were very good. The Italian restaurant was a quality place. The lobster restaurant on the bay was food and a nice location.

No negatives

We loved the property. We had tried to cancel our stay due to the extreme heat when we were in Bar Harbor. I fainted the day before and was having heart palpitations. We booked thru a third party who requested that Holiday Inn cancel the $500. Penalty due to my poor health and they refused, standing firm with their policy ( I missed notifying them in time by 1 Hour). Not wanting to lose money we went and I stayed in our air conditioned room. Great Property, but even though fully booked no exceptions for ANY reason to their policy.
