Lovely little property, Clean and was great for our stay to explore this part of Maine. Loved the location to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The staff are friendly and helpful! The view from the front of the property, pool side were beautiful. Free laundry machines that you can use 24 hours. Free LLBean Shuttle bus that ran every 30 minutes to and from the center of Bar Harbour (7am - 10pm if i remember correctly) made a few stops at other hotels that probably took about 10 -15 minutes to get to town. If you were to miss the last bus back to the hotel, I am guessing a brisk 30 minute walk back on a very safe sidewalk. Felt very very safe in this location! We chose to eat our meals out and about to experience Local Maine dishes except for one breakfast which was good in the main restaurant.

This is a lovely little property!!! But... just dated. Very dark inside. New Carpet and paint everything that is brown, to a Happy seaside vibe would be a start - just my opinion :) The air-condition unit was loud. Really wished they had a little convenience shop for basics, snacks, drinks etc..

Property was conveniently located and provides excellent views from the pool area and from the dining room. Check-in desk personnel were extremely helpful and friendly. Accessible room was excellent. Complimentary laundry room and detergent Very comfortable beds and linen

Not allowed to have cocktails in the dining room, which has the view, even when it was almost completely empty. Cocktail area has no view. Tiki bar by pool has very limited hours- 1PM-4PM, and the harborside restaurant near the pool cannot provide beer or wine in a plastic cup, to use by the pool after the Tiki Bar closes. Laundry room has a few broken machines, making contention for the few that work somewhat tough.

The location was perfect , and the pool area was beautiful. Clean , nice rooms . Beautiful views of the water .

The tiki bar at the pool closed at 6pm ..after spending the daytime out hiking, and exploring it’s nice to have a drink in the hot tub or watch the sunset but the bar closed too early. It was expensive, but all hotels in the area are.

Nice room, clean and comfortable beds. Very nice Pool and hot tub. Had dinner the last night at the restaurant and the prices were reasonable. Breakfast selection was minimal. Liked that they had a small grocery store for snack in the hotel. Free laundry and supplies which was really nice.

Front desk employees didn't know much about the town or area. I asked about Acadia and they didn't have any maps or suggestions.

We loved the property. We had tried to cancel our stay due to the extreme heat when we were in Bar Harbor. I fainted the day before and was having heart palpitations. We booked thru a third party who requested that Holiday Inn cancel the $500. Penalty due to my poor health and they refused, standing firm with their policy ( I missed notifying them in time by 1 Hour). Not wanting to lose money we went and I stayed in our air conditioned room. Great Property, but even though fully booked no exceptions for ANY reason to their policy.

Breakfast food is fantastic, but service is not good at all. Way too slow, much too long a wait in between checking on us and filling coffee cups, and took a long time for food to come out.

Service and servers are waaaaaay too slow and show no effort to be welcoming or show any sense of urgency with coffee refills or having enough cream and sugar on the table.

we stayed in the building near the pool with a partial ocean view. The room was quiet and comfortable and appropriate for 3 people. I traveled with my elderly parents and the hotel helped us out with an accessible room and provided a chair for the shower. we had a mix up with our reservation and the room with 2 double beds was unavailable. The front desk managed the situation and sorted everything helped immediately. All staff were really friendly, especially Ben (hope the name is right) from Jamaica. We loved sitting on the porch outside for a wonderful breakfast- just lovely! We appreciated the free Starbuck's coffee station. The pool area is beautifully landscaped and we saw staff care for the flowers. The view from there was breathtaking especially at sunrise and sunset and we saw an American Bald Eagle perched on the tree by the pool also enjoying the view! The shuttle in to town and to Acadia works beautifully, so you can leave your car and enjoy all that Bar Harbor has to offer

Resort is somewhat old, but it is well maintained. The room doors are really heavy and were hard for my elderly parents to open.

Close to Bar Habor. Bus stop to Downtown and Acadia NP right at hotel. Excellent Italian restaurant. Room was clean. Best hotel shower Ever! Front Desk and Housekeeping were both Welcoming.

Breakfast took a long time to be delivered to room. Bar tender by pool ignored us will trying to buy and drink decided to close drink menu and leave.

Great location, nice renovated rooms in the main building, great shower and free bus around town was great!

Restaurants and bar were super poor, it’s not worth staying to eat any of your meals. Just head into town! We paid extra for ocean view room on the 4th floor, only to have a massive generator in front of our balcony with extremely noise 24/7

This property had absolutely gorgeous views of both the harbor and the well-landscaped grounds. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It offers all the amenities you need, including free laundry.

The hotel is very dated. This is the only area we found lacking during our recent stay. Modern conveniences we expect in a hotel room, like adequate plugs to charge devices were missing. If the guest rooms were renovated, this property would be a 10/10.
