We loved our two nights at Villa Spaladium. The location in the heart of Diocletian's Palace is unbeatable and the terrace overlooking the main square is spectacular. Having coffee in the morning and wine in the evening under a 900-year-old clock tower was great. Everyone below was taking pictures of the clock that we could almost reach out and touch. Without a doubt we would recommend this apartment and stay here again.

Communication from the host was not great, the beds are a bit old/uncomfortable, and the bath towels are hysterically bad. But, that said, terrace and location are so phenomenal that we were able to get over these issues pretty quickly.

The only reason that this didn’t get a 10 was the weather, which is out of the property’s control. We were in Split during a heat wave, and the patio was almost unusable. we couldn’t sit out there for more than 10 minutes. There is an umbrella, but, it was kind of wimpy bc it was just so hot. the AC was amazing in 2 rooms, and the fridge (huge) worked really well. Before you leave the keys in the morning of checkout on the table, make sure the downstairs door is unlocked. we were lucky, someone was coming down the stairs when we checked out at 7am for the ferry back to Dubrovnik. had that person not come down, we would have been trapped for a bit. Sara, our concierge gave great reccos, some out of town which was great to get us out and walking around. tortuga - great views and awesome burger. Basta - best pizza in town

nothing. it was as advertised. great space, would easily fit a family of 4, and there is a roll away bed. address - they give you on booking is their corporate office. this property is in the middle of diocletians palace. best location. period. just make sure you contact Sara so she can set you straight. use WhatsApp.

Villa Spaladium was in a great location. Close to Old Town and Diocletian’s Palace. It’s in a quiet, pedestrian area. A very comfy bed. Oh, and there is a convenient laundry on the way to the palace with a very friendly woman who had my clothes ready much early than I anticipated.

We literally stayed in a palace! What an exquisite and grand feeling especially when you sit outside at the balcony, as if you're the King and Queen looking down at your people going on with their lives. The only regret was that I forgot to wave at all the people there😁. The rooms were spacious clean, very comfortable bed and pillows, soundproofed windows and doors, well equipped kitchen and well function modest bathroom. This apartment is a Gem. Definitely worth staying again.

The only downside for us was the staircase, which was unavoidable because we were staying in a Palace, right?

The apartment was just as it was described. Great location, and the terrace overlooking the square was a treat. Really good size bedrooms and beds. The kitchenette has everything you need but is small. It leads out onto the big balcony. The tv is in the main bedroom. While there is no reception the online reception is 10 out of 10. They were brilliant. I used WhatsApp and response was instant, a big thankyou to you.

Great host, Antonia is super responsive. Location is within walking distance to old town and main train/bus station. Although I do agree with many comments/reviews made before me but from value for money perspective, it is a great place.

Centrally located, very good size apartment, big comfy bed, good facilities and little inclusions eg salt pepper oil sugar coffee etc plus more pasta and some more things, enough plates and dishes etc. Outside balcony was nice with a little view - probably better when its busier and warmer though. Netflix as well which we used a bit!

A bit difficult to find but once we were there it was okay. The step up to the shower was awkward but water pressure and size was adequate.

The apartment is in an amazing location over looking the square (make sure you book the correct address if you want this place as they have several under the banner of Villa Spaladium). It was very clean, with everything you could need, with added touches which made the stay even better such as a coffee machine, smart tv and some cupboard basics. The owners and hosts couldn't do more for us and checked up on us at the beginning of our stay and mid week to see if we needed anything, plus we had their phone number in case we needed anything else. Exceptional!

Not much to dislike!

The Location of this apartment was fantastic, it was minutes from the beach and from all the attractions in city. The apartment was very clean and the facilities were superb! they had all the stuff you usually have to buy when you're staying in an apartment like sugar, oil, salt etc. the hosts even had juices, milk and some local wine in the fridge as well as some chocolate biscuits...which was much appreciated :-) I Needn't have brought many of my toiletries as they had hairspray, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste etc. already in the bathroom. I have to say, the hosts Antonia and her family really thought of all the little essentials and then went above and beyond. There was a bakery and a minimarket right beside us along with a larger supermarket which was very handy. The hosts were so helpful with any questions I had while we were there and Antonia even offered to organise some day trips for us prior to our arrival had we wanted to do that. This apartment is great for it's location and facilities. it was a fantastic base for us to go and explore the city.

I can't fault it

Beautiful, old building with unique layout including a patio to relax in. The beds were comfortable and I loved the separated sitting area by the kitchen. Also, grateful for the hair dryer!

No coffee or paper towels.
