Breakfast was fantastic, especially the Dutch elements. The staff were outstandingly helpful. The decor and cleanliness were super.

If I'm being picky, the single pillow per person was not great for comfort, and I would have liked more coffee and creamer in the rooms. I need more than one in the morning!

Hotel Aalders is a gorgeous family owned business. The building is vintage and therefore full of character. The beds were comfortable, the amenities were perfect. Especially the coffee machine in the lobby! The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Despite there being a heat wave, the rooms were still comfortable with the fan provided. The location couldn’t be more perfect- very close to museums and shopping. I enjoyed my stay immensely!

Nothing, actually! Even without aircon during a heatwave, the room was not too hot.

The Hotel was for our plan of spending Most of the time outside very good. We did Not have breakfast as we wanted to try different places. The Hotel was good and very clean and in comparison to other hotels in Amsterdam with an acceptable price.

We could easily hear the neighbour which was OK for us as we were not sensitive but can be problematic for those who are sensitive to noise. I did not like that we have to give the key to reception everytime we left the hotel. The rooms was small, but was already in the rooms description, so no complain.

The hotel has a great location, very clean, convenient for the museums and trams, the only complaint I had was that even though the hotel warns you that the rooms aren’t soundproof, but it (my room at least) was worse than I expected. I expected to hear people in the hall like they were in the room with me (I was next to the lift) but the bathrooms appear to share ventilation duct or something, so that you can hear the people in your neighbouring bathrooms as clearly as if they are in your bathroom, even after I closed my bathroom door I could still hear my neighbour throwing up repeatedly between 0100 and 0700. Like I said they do warn you sound is an issue, but be prepared.

Location near Dutch masters museums and leafy parks. Quiet atmosphere near the hubbub of the city's more active neighborhoods. A variety of excellent restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable and the hotel aesthetically charming and manageable. The breakfast staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall, a respite from more active and noisy areas of Amsterdam yet close enough to get about easily.

Minor noise from adjacent room in middle of the night - not the hotel's fault.

The hotel is located in a very quiet and peaceful street in the museum district. There are many famous brand stores on the side street, and it is also very nice for those who want to shop. Our room was facing the garden side of the other buildings at the back. The room, bed, cleanliness, bathroom everything was perfect. Each of the receptionists were extremely sweet and since it was our first time in Amsterdam, they made many recommendations and marked them on the map. If you want a comfortable and beautiful accommodation, you can definitely choose it.

The location was great, you could easily reach Two museums already by foot: Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum, the max 6-7 min walk. The area is fancy, as one of the locals called it. And easily reachable too from the airport. You get to take only one bus, and the closest stop is only 3 min away by foot from the hotel 😇

The room was quite small considering the price, but still it might be normal for Amsterdam.. The only thing I didn’t like is that you’re not supposed to stay later than 23:00 in the bar area. Because the room was too small and I had to read for a while in my laptop, I wanted to stay downstairs at the bar, but I was told that it was not possible.. so it was either in my room or outside at that time. This depends much in what are you planning to do in Amsterdam, and how important it is to have some space within the hotel. The staff was friendly and ready to help. I have gluten sensibility and I was offered gluten free bread as an option. The breakfast doesn’t offer so many options, but for a short stay like mine it’s totally fine.

First of all, the staff were all wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and funny. The location was great - away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, albeit only a short-ish walk away, and just 2 minutes' walk from the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum.

I feel bad saying this, as it isn't really anyone's fault, but the nature of these old buildings makes them quite noisy. It wasn't a major problem at all but worth mentioning if you're a very light sleeper (we take a white noise machine away for this very reason, which worked fine).

I enjoyed my quiet and peaceful stay. The location is great within walking distance from many sightseeing spots as well as from the public transportation. I also enjoyed the walk to the downtown and shops. This place is located on a quiet street. It’s a good choice if you want to avoid noisy environments. I slept very well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They made sure that I have a good time every day. They shared some really good travel tips with me. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

No bad things. Everything worked out perfectly.

My second time at this hotel this trip. This time round was room was smaller which was disappointing but still clean and tidy. A great place to stay and highly recommend. Staff are friendly, helpful and very informative.

My only issue is when the bed is made they do not pull the undersheets tight so I had to do it myself or sleep on the ridges.
