We loved our spacious and comfortable rooms. The hotel is a beautiful blend of the historic 300-year old inn with tastefully updated rooms. The bed was so comfortable and great shower. We had dinner at Keppler’s just down the road (also owned by the Hibernian) and everyone enjoyed their meal and the lively pub atmosphere while we cheered Cork on with the friendly locals to a win the Hurling Championship Finals and that experience is one we’ll never forget. Breakfast was wonderful, too. Tracy welcomed us all of the staff we encountered were so kind.

There is a distinct smell just down from the entrance near the pub - definitely not pleasant but it wasn’t just smoke from the pub. Maybe something from the leisure center / pool? We couldn’t tell what it was, but it’s definitely not significant enough to take away from the hotel.

The staff were second to none!! All extremely friendly, helpful and in particular receptionist, barman and girl in the pool reception, unfortunately I have no names but it was a pleasure staying in the hotel with staff like that.

Unfortunately the hotel itself was a let down. Only two towels in a triple room, TV didn't work looking for a pin, couldn't turn the heating down but staff member brought a fan to the rooms. The food was excellent in the bar but the decor is tired, dated and Unfortunately grubby. If some money was invested in the interior this would be a fantastic place to stay. The staff are superb which is a shame.

Love the HiB but sadly it's looking very dated. Beds are soooo comfy and the rooms were very clean. BREAKFAST was fabulous. Dinner, last night, was lovely. Think there were 4 choices chosen between us all and everyone really happy with theirs. Great service from bar staff and we had several rounds. Entrance is, just dark and dismal. If it weren't for the lady's lovely, cheerful smile it wud be miserable. You've put in some cheap looking grey (!) plether furniture at the back of the lobby - take my word they ARE NOT comfortable. I'm afraid the consensus among the 8 adults last night was that unless ye do SOMETHING then when the Central hotel reopens you're gonna be in trouble.

Sorry I've said it all in the above. Oh except that u badly need a toaster/microwave in the dining area. We couldn't hear the pancakes or waffles this morning AND there wasn't any sauce for them,!!!! STAFF all friendly and helpful.

Stayed here as a single occupancy for a night away with work. Assigned me a massive room at the front of the hotel overlooking the main street, and it was great to have the space to relax in. Excellent bathroom and toiletries. Leisure centre and pool as well. Good breakfast was included.

The hotel generally could probably do with a revamp, and parts of the room were showing some need of refurb (stains on ceiling, peeling window frames) but I am realistic enough to realise the expense of doing these things while keeping rooms fully occupied.

Reception staff lovely and friendly, room was great and very very spacious, lovely shower, and room was very quiet. parking facilities at back of hotel were great with ticket provided from reception as well. Lovely breakfast area with loads of choice and friendly staff.

Bar area for food in evening was not great at all, counter was full of dirty dishes and glasses, not a nice sight really, waited a while to be served but no staff (there was 5 or 6 staff around) even acknowledged me !!!! and there was a couple of other people waiting too to be served ....... so....left, and went elsewhere !!!

This hotel was a great place to stay. It is an older hotel with some upgrades. The rooms were quiet. The staff were wonderful. We had been put in a smaller double room the first night. I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning. They apologozed and moved us to a larger room with a street view as I had originally requested. They stated that on the first noght the hotel was very busy and that is why we unfortuately gave us a smaller room . The facilities were great and centrally located as the only hotel in town. We loved out stay

One of the beds was incomfortable . Needs to be upgraded. But the room was nice !

Our room was large and comfortable. All facilities were excellent. Great breakfast with a large selection to choose from. The entertainment in the pub at night had traditional music from professional musicians, Johnny Bongo and his band could not have been better. Staff also went out of their way to safely accommodate our electric bikes. Staff were very friendly and always on hand to help out.

Very friendly & helpful staff - nothing too much trouble. The food was good - Bedroom clean and comfy. Excellent breakfast range - Live band (well a singer) playing on the Saturday night which was good but they had their Amps and Speakers set up for an outdoor gig - was a bit over the top for an indoor venue - ended up sitting in Lobby and it was still very loud out there!

Loved the location, very central. Food was delicious, starters and mains. Rooms, although small, were clean and tea and coffee available. Staff are lovely and helpful

No lobby here, to relax and watch the world go by. Bar was very impersonal, matches blaring on tvs. Not a place to sit and chill. Rooms are very tight, quite small and no view. We were overlooking the back, like a yard

Located 10mins walk from the train station, Hibernian Hotel looks pleasant and homely both on the outside and inside. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with a sizable bathroom. Staff were helpful throughout our stay. With a good variety of restaurants and cafes nearby, we were spoilt for choices!

Accessibility was a slight problem as I have a bad knee, but have to climb up and down the stairs to get to my room and out.
