We loved staying here! We wish we had more time here. We checked in late at night, and enjoyed the Friday night music until the pub closed (then just being able to walk upstairs to go to bed was great). All the staff were lovely, and the full Irish breakfast the next morning was a highlight too (definitely worth paying for).

My room was situated at the front of the Muskerry Arms & overlooked the square in Blarney, it was very clean & had tea making facilities. The bed was both comfortable & spacious for two, the wardrobe & side cabin had sufficient space for both sharing & the room was advertised as suitable for a disabled user. The bathroom requires a little more thought with regards to disability usage, as the space near the toilet & shower would require better hand rails & support rails for those wishing to independently vacate a wheelchair, this would also require a shower chair as the splash screen is tight for a wheelchair to occupy & can lead to access water covering the tiled floor causing it to become slippery as the shower curtain is poorly fitted as gaps let water through. You may wish to ask the manager or premises where the chair lift is located before booking as the room is on the first floor.

The windows have double sound screens to avoid any noise entering from outside, but as the pub closes most nights at 1am & reopens again at 7.30am in the morning, make sure the screen is fully closed as sleep disruption can be caused if the external window is left slightly open for fresh air. A better air vent could be considered in the bathroom as after using the shower the room fills with condensation & makes the floor extremely wet & slippery.

Honestly, this was the best stay of my entire trip. The room itself was clean, modern, and spacious-even better than I thought it would be. Price was a stellar bargain compared to Cork, and I enjoyed the quieter smaller town of Blarney. The staff were friendly & professional, and throughout my stay I witnessed them frequently going above and beyond. I checked both “lively” and “quiet” because even though the bar was bustling, the room itself was cozy and quiet. I can’t stop thinking about those pillows- and if anyone there has time, please let me know where I can get some for myself 😁

It was beyond my expectations, liked it all!

Gary lovely chap on arrival. Gave us nice welcome and informative info. Location great for access to blarney Castle and grounds. Ample parking at rear of property. Lovely atmosphere, lovely food, very nice room. Staff very friendly. The full irish breakfast was amazing. The decorator was very nice in the dining area.

Our room had flickering lights, which was a little strange. Room a little hot and no way to reduce the temperature. Morning deliveries outside woke us up early as we had window open to cool down. Think would opt for a rear room if we return.

Firstly the location is right in the centre of Blarney, so ideal for walking to the castle or the woollen mill. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and a hot powerful shower, we were on the second floor which was very quiet at night even if the bar was still open and as it was warm we had the window open all night. The bar is busy but still found seats every night, it’s a great friendly place to spend the evenings and when we were there had live music on 3 nights. There is also a garden area which is also very pleasant on a warm evening. However, what really makes this place stand out is all the staff, every single one ( and there are a lot) work incredibly hard to make sure you are looked after, I have never met such a group of people so genuinely driven to make you feel welcome, we all felt like we were friends when we left. If only every bar/B&B/ hotel was like this one, keep up the great work, we will be back.

I would not change anything

The staff were always willing to help and go above and beyond. Very nice people and they are the reason we would visit again. We did have a lovely view of the park and garden across the street. The bed was comfortable. The food and music at the bar were wonderful.

The noise. We were in room 1 and we heard every person stomping up and down the stairs. The 5am garbage pickup, the 6am grocery delivery, the smoke break conversations from people at the bar below standing on the sidewalk, the people in the room above us bowling, etc. In all irony, the one thing we couldn't hear was the music from the bar below. :)

Fantastic staff very nice and friendly and polite, Garry who I met first down at the bar was very welcoming and explained everything I needed to know and had no questions to ask him as he answered them all. Food was great and good portions.,the two waiters we had served us were extremely polite and so friendly. Pints of Guinness was very tasty probably one of the best I’ve had believe it or not. Great size rooms and clean

One small things but i know it’s a bar below but could not get myself to sleet quickly due to live music down in the bar below us but still managed to get to sleep, but I can understand it’s in a busy part of blarney as well so.

The check in process was very easy. The location of the B&B is excellent. The rooms were clean and had everything we could have needed. Although the rooms are above the pub, there was no noise, and the rooms were peaceful. It was a fun experience to wake up and walk downstairs to the pub for breakfast. The staff were kind and helpful, and even called a taxi for us when we went into town. Great location and accommodation!

One of the rooms we had in our party was quite hot (which is unusual in Ireland, especially in the evenings). A fan in the room would have made it a bit more comfortable, but it was not intolerable.

Loved our stay here! We walked to Blarney Castle from the Muskerry Arms; it's literally a few hundred yards. And we loved staying in Blarney for the night. The Muskerry Arms rooms were some of the best we stayed in on our trip from Dublin to Dingle. Newly remodeled, large with comfy beds and pillows! And it was much quieter than expected. The staff were so kind and accommodating and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. ...And they have a HUGE back garden/patio/outside bar that was so nice to enjoy while we were there in August. Highly recommend!

Talk about a real Irish experience staying above a pub! I was worried that it would be loud, but I never heard a thing from the bar below us. The room was big, clean, and nicer than I expected. We looked out onto Blarney Square. Dinner at the pub was delicious, as was breakfast the next morning. They let us keep our car parked there the next day while we walked to Blarney Castle. And everyone was so friendly. This is a place I would definitely stay again!

Really the only negative was that there were people outside the bar on the street that we could hear as we were going to bed. I put some earplugs in and never heard them again.
