I loved the feel of the building. The Staff was very welcoming. I love that the Hotel is right on the water and that it is close to all of the attractions. It had everything we needed for a one-night stay.

I did not like that I could not lock my room door from the inside.

The hotel is well located on the waterfront in the main tourist area. We hadn't booked a room with a view but did enjoy the view from the dining room. Our room was spacious enough with a queen bed and single in the room. There was a desk with chair and small table with a chair. There was water and two muffins as well as the usual tea and coffee. Wifi was very good. We used the secure parking behind the hotel. There was a cost but there would have been some cost to park roadside and it may have been quite a distance away (free overnight but probably paid until that time started and again for a time in the morning). The public areas were well decorated. We prebooked breakfast and it was good. I was surprised to be handed a menu with prices for each item on it. If you have prebooked you get one thing from the continental choices and one from the cooked choices, plus toast and juice and teas or coffees. There is no buffet set out.

Admittedly we probably booked one of the cheapest rooms for our one night stay, but it was a bit tired and it looked out over a rubbish collection area. There was a net curtain, which disguised that part of the view and the part we saw was of greenery. There was only one bedside light for the beds and with no central light, it was dim. The doors banged loudly. There was a lift but most floors had a few rooms on that level and the rest were either up several stairs or down several stairs. Ask for a room on the main level if this is important to you.

Location unmatched. Staff welcoming and helpful. Breakfast very good and appreciated that it was included in the rate. Updated bathrooms were nice. Renovations were underway but overall character of the hotel was nice.

Fortunately we had reserved two rooms and were able to swap due to one room having only one outlet near the beds that would not have worked for cpap machines. The size and layout differences between the two rooms was significant to be considered the same "class" and price. Guests with ambulation issues should be aware to ask questions regarding room placement as there are random steps on floors that would require ambulating and maneuvering baggage in and out of the rooms. Lacking outlets in bathrooms seemed to be the norm in Ireland and fairly inconvenient.

Location is perfect, breakfast was lovely and great size portion the homemade brown bread was 10/10. The staff were so attentive, full of chat and so kind and caring and had great knowledge of the area. We had our son with us as it was his 4th birthday and they left out cookies and a card with happy birthday on it. Staff made his towel into the shape of an elephant, which he was very happy with, it was also my husbands birthday the day before we arrived and there was sweets and a card saying happy birthday on it when we arrived to our room. I thought this was a lovely touch. We will most definitely be back.

Nothing, we really enjoyed ourselves and loved the hotel and Staff

Room was very clean and good size .

Couldn't book breakfast early as there was big group of tourists from USA and was no space in the restaurant for breakfast between 8-9 am . Only after this hour .

Cobh is a magical and historic place. This hotel is a key part of that history. We felt like aristocrats who stayed there before we were to board the Titanic. The breakfast was wonderful, the bar tender was so nice and friendly (she was from Poland but had lived in Ireland most of her life). Hotel was very clean and well appointed. It was a little spooky when she told us that the hotel used to be the morgue for the Luisitania ship that was sunk in an attack.

The heat in the room was not adjustable and the view from our room was quite poor-- we figured this was just bad luck. It got really really got in the room overnight.

The location is perfect, right on the front, our room had a sea view, the rooms were big and airy, the cleaners were in every day, leaving biscuits, muffins and tea/coffee and water. There was a lovely view of spike island and other islands. We were close to the train station to go to the city. There is a free car park beyond the train station. I left my car there for the 5 days and we walked everywhere in cobh.

The room was advertised as having an iron but actually doesn't, just for those who may need it. There is a laundry service though.

Enjoyed the view of the working waterfront. Plentiful street parking so we could avoid paying for parking in the crowded parking garage. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and roomy.

The bathroom was very small with no counter space for toiletries. While there was a small table and chairs, it was in the back of the room and would have liked to have room to sit in front of windows to see the view. A little inconvenient was the location of the room. Once off the elevator, had to open a door and go up several stairs to get to the room. Mostly only a problem when trying to get a heavy tray of food up to the room (as there was no room service).

A charming historic building in the heart of Cobh! It has incredible views of the water as well as a beautiful park right across the street. Easy access to dining options, the titanic museum and more! The rooms were MASSIVE in comparison to most places we stayed in Ireland and were very clean (we also did opt for the deluxe king room but in passing the other rooms also looked to be ample sized). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even when we were out and put a do not disturb on our door, they left a bag for us of extra waters, muffins and towels outside. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say that the location is absolutely fantastic! It’s perfectly situated, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The staff was incredibly welcoming and always went out of their way to assist us, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I was also thrilled to learn about the hotel's rich history and unique character. It added a special touch to our experience, and I loved exploring the interesting decor and stories that came with it. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great stay with a wonderful atmosphere!
