When the driver pulled up to the location to drop us off, I was a little confused. The front of the hotel faces the alley instead of the main street. Check in was easy and the staff spoke English very well. Everyone in the middle east uses WhatsApp to communicate including this hotel. This hotel is at the entrance to the souk and within walking distance of several restaurants. Also within 5 mins walking distance of Luxor temple and the mummification museum. You could also walk to Karnak but it be 20+ minutes. Or there are taxi drivers on the main street outside or carriage drivers eager to transport you with their "ferrari". Valley of kings, queens, and nobles is across the Nile so you would need to arrange a ferry or driver to get there. The hotel contracts with a travel service that can book excursions or transfers for you which we choose to do. We had them arrange our pickup at Qena station to take us to Dendera, then back to hotel. We had them arrange a sunset felucca ride and our transfer to Aswan. All transfers and excursions went well and all were on time with friendly drivers. One of them even stopped and got us all fresh sugar cane juice. Now for the hotel itself, breakfast was amazing. Lots of variety and on the rooftop with beautiful views. Everything was fresh and delicious. The shower in our room never ran out of hot water and had excellent pressure (this is rare to find in Egypt). In fact, we only ever used the shower at half pressure and half heat because it was almost too much. Our housekeeper would clean our rooms daily and even rolled the towels into animals. The first day, we came back to a crocodile. The second day was a turtle. We were leaving early the next morning and he was so upset because he was already trying to plan what he was going to leave us next. Very great staff for sure. We also dined at the restaurant that is in the alleyway in front of the hotel. The food there was also superb. Best value for money in Egypt

Since it is right next to the souk, depending on the room you are in, you can hear the music from the souk until pretty late at night. Also the touts from the souk can and will follow you until you are within the entryway of the hotel trying to sell their wares. This was mostly from the child touts. The hotel staff scares them off if they follow you into the entryway itself though or if you are dining at the restaurant. Lastly, the shower curtain in the shower is pulled around in such a way that it will stick to you while you shower. I don't know why, but this always gives me heebie jeebies. I started just leaving the curtain open and then squeegeeing the tile into the drain afterwards.

I liked many things about the Property. The staff is super helpful, polite and kind The manager Reem was excellent and all staff spoke english. The bedroom was comfortable and it has fridge, electric kettle and hair dryer. All works top notch. Air conditioner is also pretty new and excellent. Amazing Al Sahaby restaurant on roof top. My room was 4th floor and thats where restaurant is. The place isolates noise from outside so slept good. Local Bazar is downstairs. Breakfast is exceptionally amazing with views of hot air balloon, luxor temple, avenue of sphinxes and the Nile. Museum, Temples and Transportation is Excellent. Location is very convenient for pick and drop of many things. Dinner food in restaurant is excellent. The restaurant has roof top terrace (next to my room) as well as in street level. Horse carriages are right outside the hotel. So overall amazing stay.

1. There is NO LIFT. It could be problematic for many people. 2. Bathroom is tiny and claustrophobic- although bedding, towels and hygiene was excellent. 3. Rooms are old fashioned and don’t have basic latches from inside. You have to physically put key to lock from inside the room. On second day, my key got stuck in the locked door from inside and I was locked for 20 minutes while my guide waited outside. Staff came to help and I left. Upon my return, the whole lock of door was replaced new. It worked seemless and staff was very kind, considerate and cooperative. I would happily return to this place again.

The hotel is good. The room is clean. The bed is made daily. They also provide water and coffee/tea daily. The staff strives to meet our needs and do everything possible to please the customer. The view from the terrace/restaurant is simply incredible. The food in the restaurant and at breakfast is very tasty and you can see that everything is very clean. I was able to take a tour tailored to my interests instead of a pre-made itinerary for a much better price than with travel agencies (usually, when hotels offer tours they end up being much more expensive, but that was not the case here at this hotel, so I recommend researching the tours with them before booking somewhere else).

I found the room very small, with very little space to move around. It was cramped because we had to leave our bags and backpacks blocking the way. The view from the room was not the best, as there was a land full of rubbish next door. The bathroom was also very small, and the shower area was very narrow. I could always feel the cloth curtain brushing against my body. But these little details can be ignored of course, so we give 9 from 10. For the price, it is a good option in Luxor for sure.

perfect location and restaurant

Everything's good until the airport transfer. I payed 12 usd for the car to airport and I accepted the price. No problem. When I arrived, the driver asked me for tips. I refused and the driver seemed unhappy and annoyed. If the car is 100 egp, of course I can give you tips. But the car is 12 usd, the driver even wants tips? That's ridiculous. Please remember though we are foreigners, we are not ATM. Five stars for the hotel, one star for the driver.

This was the perfect location in Luxor and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I was checked in by Reem who was very friendly and was available for any issues I had, but I had none as the place was fantastic. Housekeeping (Muhammad) was excellent and went above and beyond, re-tuning the TV for me and keeping the room spotless during my stay. I could practically see my reflection in the bathroom floor. He takes pride in his work and I hope the hotel appreciates it. The room and bathroom were spacious and very good value for money. If I'm ever in Luxor again I will stay here again, and I'll be recommending this hotel to family and friends who are over that way. Thanks for a great stay. P.S Ask about the tours they offer. I did a West Bank tour of Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon through the hotel and had the best time. One of the best tours I've ever been on and excellent value for money. You won't regret it.

It’s perfectly located in front of the Luxor temple, just right by the market. The rooftop is amazing with the views and the food was really good. They also have a private terrace in front of the property with security 24/7 even though the area is really safe. But the best part was definitely the service, EVERYONE is super nice and friendly, specially Ahmed at the reception, he was always looking for ways to make me feel welcome and happy, and it wasn’t only with me, I saw him doing the same with all the guests, it’s really special when you find people who really enjoy their job and he’s definitely one of them. Thank you so much for everything Ahmed!

I have no complaints

Genuinely the best customer service I have ever had. It blew me away how much they cared about our stay and helped booking our activities that had been booked out online. Special thanks to Ahmed and Mohommad for their professionalism. If travelling here I would recommend booking all activities through the hotel. The prices are cheaper and the local knowledge is unmatched.

No lift , however the staff are so quick and helpful with bags. This is not a complaint but rather an observation. The hotel is decorated in a traditional Egyptian manner, and taking a lift would bypass this cultural experience.

The location is excelent, and personnel where very helpful, specially Mariana, they help me With everything I need, transfer, trips everything, the restaurant above is very good, I will come back again! If you book at this hotel talk with te hotel personnel for transfers from airport, they can arrange anything for you. Trust your hotel manager

don’t trust taxi drivers, don’t exchange money at them for eny reasons ! I had a very bad experience with taxi drivers that I randomly pick!

I recently stayed at the Nefertiti Hotel Luxor and was thoroughly impressed with the service and amenities. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant offered a delicious breakfast buffet and a variety of vegetarian options at great prices, with a stunning view of the Luxor Temple and Nile. Abuzizo at the restaurant was especially helpful. The hotel also assisted me in finding a travel agency, Magic Carpet Travel, which provided excellent service. Ahmed and Mr. Shaimaa were knowledgeable and professional. I appreciated the water refill station, which helped reduce plastic waste. The rooms were spacious, and the common areas were comfortable. A fun touch was the creatively folded towels in my room. The hotel's location is excellent, but I would recommend requesting a room without a balcony overlooking the alleyway to minimize noise. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay and would highly recommend the Nefertiti Hotel Luxor.

Loved the location, the friendliness of the staff, and the clean facilities. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. Breakfast was also very delicious, and served in the rooftop restaurant overlooking the Luxor temple and the Nile. Just fabulous.

The hotel has an authentic North Africa vibe, and is located right next to the souk, so there is some noise. I loved this, as it felt like a real adventure. But I can see it won't be for everyone.
