Nice facilities, excellent breakfast.

The hotel is nice but needs more attention and up keeping. Entrance is not clean, esp. the carpet. Garden needs more attention. Reception staff is highly unprofessional and rude. Eating while there are guests. Talking private among each other's, ignoring guests. The pool has jets but they are switched on for just few minutes. Saving money? The hotel had a potential to be top class if managed and supervised properly. Maybe the mainly Russian clientele is less demanding

Comfortable large bed (2 together), plenty of hot water, free use of the spa facilities. Friendly staff who even gave one of us a little bit of birthday cake which was a lovely surprise.

We found it difficult dragging heavy cases up hills and steps which went on forever. We looked for buses but there appeared to be none. So be aware of this if you book. Once there it's worth it but it was extremely hard work getting up to it. A little slow checking us in- 2 reception staff members dealing with lots of things at once. Also, curtains could do with being thicker as they let a lot of light in in the early hours. Better sound proofing would be good- disturbed early in the morning with lots of noise. Other than that- fab!

Bristol Palace is much fancier than Bristol is nowadays. This is one of the grandest buildings in town, located on a hill in the middle of a manicured park, yet only a short walk from the colonnade. The hotel has its own spa which offers sauna, steamroom, jaccuzi and a small swimming pool. It was fairly empty and very pleasant at the time of our stay. Breakfast was varied and beautifully served in the amazing dining room. This was a very good value stay in a restful environment and staff was kind and helpful. I would stay again.

I liked everything and I can be a fussy guest. I would have preferred goose down pillows and duvet - but this is really a minor detail.

A good hotel, with comfortable and spacious rooms. It was good to have spa facilities in the hotel (even if you had to walk through the labyrinth to find them 🤣) and a gym, with breakfast included. The hotel was up quite a lot of stairs/a steep road, but you got to know shortcuts over the stay. The main issue was some very unfriendly/cold staff, who could do with customer service training (although some of them were much nicer too).

Brilliant place. It was what I like. Great staff, they work so hard. I see them late in the evening and again at breakfast. They speak many languages and know the expectations of different cultures. Beautiful room, fantastic breakfast and the spa facilities were brilliant. A magical place in the winter and great value.

Great hotel. Late 1800s opulence. Swimming pool is magnesium salts water with flumes and impact sprays...awesome. Water temperature is "invigorating" Breakfast was OK. Buffet of continental and some hot choices. Other reviews have complained the scrambled eggs were "green".! This is psheno, an East European dish of millet and milk!!! Also that boiled veg was on offer...this is a "spa hotel" and some people staying are prescribed special diets. No-one not on prescription is forced to eat anything! At least 5 energetic ways in to town, or one can use the tunnel system for a leisurely route, great fun. The gardens are great to walk and relax in.

Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Missed waking up "with a brew"

The location, the decor of the room, and the views from the room were amazing. Most staff were friendly and welcoming.

The pool area was great with wellness facilities, however, the pool attendant continuously refused to turn on the pool water jets and Turkish sauna, even though we asked him several times. The attendant had extremely poor attitude, and blamed us for not telling him to turn it on. When we asked him to, it took several follow ups before he actually switched things on, making us feel unreasonable and as if we were ruining his day. As a result, we could not relax and enjoy all the facilities. Obviously, when facilities finally worked, other guests used these with us. Many of your guests might not be as assertive in asking or as persistent in requesting the use of the facilities and, in turn, might not have as enjoyable stay as they could. The attendant refused to give us his name.

The hotel complex and gardens were beautiful. Located an uphill walk from the main strip it’s surrounded by immaculately kept hotels and spas. The Bristol Palace spa was lovely, very clean and peaceful. Room was big and spacious.

There was a lot of variety at breakfast, fruits, pastries, muesli, breads, crepes and meats etc but it wasn’t that tasty. Less options and better quality would be amazing.

The hotel staff hardly speak any English and it was difficult to communicate. They did not even have a map of Karlovy Vary and they failed to tell us about the convenient way to get from the hotel to the centrum by taking 2: separate lifts from the hotel itself. We got to know of this only on the second day of our 2 day stay.

Location was excellent. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar.

The rooms were quite modest. We were expecting a little more luxury feel. The tub shower did not feel safe and the shower curtains were inadequate. Not enough fruit offered at breakfast and the was inferior.
