Staff overall was attentive and provided needs as requested, lacked consistency throughout the entire facility. Customer service on my 1st day dining was ok did not match the level of service Miguel provided at check in. Miguel attended to and was keen on all the details of our needs without me for discussing or asking for the services we needed for my disabled mother.
Service at lobby dining area was sub par on my 1st dinner I had there. Charm who did attend to our needs on our last day was wonderful. Unfortunately the level of service Charm provided was not available to me when I dined alone late Wednesday evening.

Staff was accommodating and Miguel the manager and check in host provided excellent customer service he was welcoming and provided the needs of my disabled mother.
Staff at the front lobby dining did not provided the same quality of service I have received through out the hotel. My waitress did not address me or offer any water while waiting to be served. The waiter who brought the bottled water did not even open it or pour it into the glass.

This hotel is located at the central Makati. And all the staffs are nice. I've been very much satisfied with thier services.
SInce this hotel is top-tier 5 stars hotel, there were many national events including a summit between the Philippines, and Indonesia. So, I couldn't catch the taxi and grab at the front gate during my stays. But it was acceptable.

The Pen as it’s warmly known, is easy to get to from the airport, conveniently located in Makati business district with shops and restaurants a short walk away. The entrance lobby is the life of the hotel. It’s sumptuous, elegant and popular with an array of patrons. The buffet breakfast is a must with a feast on offer to suit every palette. Hanging out by the poolside with fresh fruit juice or a drink was another of our highlights. Try the club sandwich. We stayed 3 nights before heading to Palawan and loved it so much we ended our holiday with another 3 nights at The Pen.
Weekends are very popular and we had issues on our last leg of our stay with VERY noisy guests beside and across our room. We had to complain several times and eventually we were moved.

A most enjoyable and varied buffet breakfast at the Escolta Restaurant. An excellent leisure centre and pool. Friendly and helpful staff who seem genuinely interested in your wellbeing. As you entre the spectacular Lobby Lounge, the peaceful atmosphere dissipates any stress that you brought with you!
There were a few minor maintenance defects in our room 1050:- The main door latch was catching on the escutcheon, making the door tricky to open and close. The toilet glass door could not be completely closed. The wooden surround facing to the security safe had become loose The reading light on the left facing the beds, was cracked.

Everything. Second stay, came back after two years and it feels like they have improved even more. Check in process was seamless, staff were all professional and had a ready smile and greeting. The hotel itself is old-world stunning, the rooms are squeaky clean, hotel pool is perfect temperature, buffet breakfast has so many choices. Location is excellent, not far from shopping centres and right across Ayala Triangle Gardens, if you are craving a bit of greenery. Loved my stay each time, just a beautiful hotel that I can see myself coming back to over and over.
Not a big deal, but I wish they had more facilities for children, like a playroom.

The pool is iconic and lovely. Bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. Likewise, the breakfast buffet is fantastic. Tbh, I rarely eat enough to justify the cost, but to me, it's worth it just to try something I might not have otherwise. And of course, the beds are comfortable, the sheets crisp and clean, and the shower has the best water pressure and always hot. I always stay here. Can't beat the location in Makati.
It's a little expensive, especially for drinks. There is no way a San Miguel should cost that much. But hey, you know what you're getting into when staying there. And the prices are comparable to any major city in a luxury hotel.

I've visited The Peninsular on various occasions in the past but never actually stayed there, so it was indeed a pleasure to experience the ambience & service of such a prestigious hotel chain. Every single member of staff that I encountered were courteous & professional in every way possible & couldn't have been more helpful. The Makati location is superb & the view from my room, out towards Bonifacio Global City, was very impressive.
Having to leave! Unfortunately, during the course of my stay Tropical Cyclone Christine curtailed any chance of enjoying the atmosphere around by the beautiful pool.

Room was very comfortable, staff very helpful, courteous and friendly. I left my ipad behind - the staff kept it safe and I had no problem getting it back Breakfast (room service) was excellent It is not a new hotel, but it has been wonderfully maintained. The lobby is so elegant. I have stayed in several hotels in Manila - I would say the Manila Peninsula is the best hotel of all. It is in the middle of the business district (but you do nor feel that) and the best shopping area is just a short walk away.
Food (other than breakfast) was good but could have been better

The service is impeccable, the staff seem to be very well trained in providing a high level of customer service, from the front desk, to cleaners, room service and concierge. All providing an outstanding service level.
The walls seem to be quite thin. I could hear talking and babies screaming late at night which was frsutrating for me as I had to wake early every morning for work. If there were people in the hallway the noise would echo right across the floor.
