Room is clean, bright, and spacious enough. Aircon is cold, not as noisy if switched to the low position. WiFi is working well. More than enough electric sockets. An open area at the rooptop, actually meant for guests who want to smoke. Reception and restaurant's staff are generally more friendly. Breakfast comes as a set with some choices to choose, it's adequate enough. A convenience store next to the hotel, and more malls just across the street. Not that far from some parks, cafes, and weekend markets. Less than 15mins' ride from NAIA during our early morning arrival. Not a tall hotel in Makati, but great value compared to other nearby properties.

Room looked a little dated, bathroom rather small. Rooftop pool is still under renovation. There's a demolition next to the hotel, so loud noise is expected.

We liked the helpful staff and the location which was just a few steps away from Greenbelt 5. The cafe was superb! Really great food at affordable prices. We ordered the patatim and the size was more than we expected for the price.

I didn't like that we we were surprised by the additional fees and taxes. Better if the total payable amount is listed in the reservation so expectations are met. If they can also upgrade their TVs in the room. We brought out Fire Stick but it was incompatible and we couldn't even stream any shows since it was not a SMART TV.

The room I booked is for my Sister and her husband when they came over to the Metro. I would really say that the location is Superb. Especially for them that they are not familiar with the area, it is very easy, convenient and comforting that one of the best malls, establishments Makati can offer is within reach. They wouldn't be afraid to get lost since it is also very safe. To add, there staff is also very accommodating. Since the room was available, they allowed us to have early check-in at 12pm without additional fee.

I admit, this establishment is one of the oldest in town, and with the affordable the price, you wouldn't expect also the aesthetics would be the same, I guess a little renovation can help. But it is not a show stopper since there rooms are clean and well maintained.

Very nice staff, good location, great memories of 36 years staying at the Charter House. I was surprised that the room I stayed in had not been up graded much in the many years I have stayed there. At ninety years old I may not have many more years to be around but if I do and return to the Philippines it would be my pleasure to once again stay at the Charter House Hotel!!!

(1) Location. Just right across one of the biggest shopping mall chain in Makati City (Greenbelt). Also quite near the international airport. (2) Spacious and comfortable rooms. (3) Cleaning staff should be highly commended in this property.

(1) Breakfast is good but can be improved. Portions were just a tad small for us. (2) Internet connection fluctuates from time to time specially in the evening. (3) The staff at the restaurant and the ones in the reception can be a bit too serious at times. They could really lighten up the mood if they could smile a bit more.

I like everything! Location, staff, facilities, everything! It’s not a 5-star hotel of course. But I think you get more than what you paid for.

During our stay, the building beside was having a major renovation. The noise and the vibration of the heavy equipment penetrates our room which is quite disturbing. Hotel cannot do anything about this which is not their fault.

The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. I needed to change rooms and they were both understanding and helped me move to a different room. Also, there is security posted at the front door 24/7, it is comforting.

I was there (Oct. 2024) during the demolition of the cement shopping mall buildings directly across the street and it was very noisy from about 0700-1900, and I was in a premium room facing the front. I had to move to a back room due to this noise.

Location is amazing! Right across from Greenbelt 5 Mall. There’s a 711 store right down the hotel. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Great value for money. We got the family room which has 3 beds and can sleep 4-5 people. Ample space. Food is great and affordable. Room service is amazing!

Place is a bit run down and old. Needs some few renovations here and there.

I loved staying at the Charter House. This wasn’t uber fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and well located. It was nice to be greeted by friendly security and lobby staff. I really can’t say enough about the amazing customer service - from the housekeeping to the maintenance staff to the restaurant staff, everyone was so kind and timely. I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast (it was $5 extra per day for the two of us, but worth it to try Filipino breakfast). Airport transfer is extra (about $20), which I didn’t know until after booking the transfer (initially I thought it was free), but it was reasonably priced and nice to have someone waiting for me at the airport. I would definitely recommend staying here for a trip to Manila.

We had some noisy neighbors, but sometimes that happens. All of the positive definitely outweighed this

Our location is conveniently situated in the city's heart and offers easy access to the vibrant green belt shopping centre just across the street. With abundant dining and drinking options nearby, you'll never run out of choices to satisfy your cravings. Breakfast was from the menu and what I had was delicious.

There is nothing to unlike, like all buildings in the tropics, the paint and fixtures can seem dull; this is more the effect of heat and humidity, than being unkept.
