This is a beautiful hotel with incredible views of the lake. Our room was large & comfortable, good bed, nice shower, balcony with a fantastic view.

It was very hot so the walk into town seemed longer than I thought it would be. We did have dinner one night in the fancy restaurant, which did not turn out very well. The staff was not well trained, the food very expensive, the food choices just so so. We would not eat there again.

We loved the location of this property, and the views from the dining terrace were fabulous. The bedrooms are air conditioned to a lovely temperature, and there were plenty of toiletries provided, and clean towels. We were welcomed to the hotel by a bottle of champagne in the room ,and a birthday cake was also bought when they knew I was celebrating. The spa was a lovely refuge on hot days, after walks into town. It was particularly hot when we were there, and the spa reception was always welcoming.

Mmm…the staff didn’t always feel very welcoming, we sometimes felt like an awkward distraction, especially at breakfast. Once, we asked in the bar area for some milk for our room to make tea, and were sent to reception, who told us to ring room service from our room…I would expect a bit more from a hotel of this standard, and for the price we were paying. Also, the tea bags weren’t regularly replaced, so we found ourselves having to ask for English Breakfast tea bags when we’re at breakfast.

We had a room on the 7th floor with a stunning view of the lake. While it was certainly not inexpensive, we believe that it was worth it. We made use of the spa facilities, the beautiful grounds and terrace over looking the lake. The staff were very attentive. The buffet breakfast was great and the dinner was very good. Again, the staff were fantastic.

We have 2 slightly negative comments; - while the location of the hotel is fantastic in regard to lake views, it is ~ 2kms to the old town. - there is a very limited selection of english TV. It would have been great to have CNN and / or a movie channel.

The room view was super amazing and the balcony of my room was so big and nice and the location of the hotel was good not very far from the centre but if you are looking for bit quiet hotel to relax and to enjoy the view i would recommend it for you

i order the set menu of breakfast to my room and the reception told me in the check in that if i ordered the breakfast to my room i will recive the same of the buffet, but unfortunately it was very less items and even not including egg which i needed to add on and its cost me extra charges ! , another thing that i didnt like that the AC in the room was not working n

The Imperial is a large historic facility located east of the core of the town, with easy access via car and ample on-site parking. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there are optional services (bike rentals) on-site or close by at the adjacent mini-golf business. You are right on the Lake, and have a 20 minute walk to get to the old town, but it is a beautiful walk along the Lake. The hotel has air conditioning, which was important in the summer heat.

Be sure to book reservations for the restaurant if you want to eat on-site, and not that meal service doesn't start until 7 pm. Parking on-site is an extra cost.

Absolutely beautiful setting. The palace is amazing, the view over the lake is breathtaking. Our room was nice and comfortable. The terrace is welcoming for a drink and well organised for afternoon snack...quite lovely.

The restaurant! Although the staff was lovely, respectful and really accommodating outside on the terrace... we were confronted to a rude waiter during evening service. He kept moving our chilled bottle of wine away from our table for some obscure reason. We had to physically stop him to do so! He spoiled our nice and expensive dinner.

After having stayed at this hotel once in the 1990s for a work-related training event, I had fond memories and always wanted to return. I now have the same fond memories snd would certainly return. It is of course one of the pricier venues in Annecy, but the location is priceless. Staff were all friendly and competent. I read some reviewers did not like the way their rooms were furnished and decorated, but we loved it. The interior of the hotel - our room, the restaurant and bar, the spa - is a nice modern contrast to the regal exterior.

Access to the spa area was under construction, but that was not a big deal, the fitness center and the pool are nice.

Beautiful imposing building Obviously been spent on to keep updated as much as possible . Spa is very nice , mineral based pool ,not a pool for proper swimming but beautiful . Steam and sauna great. Bar area is massive and staff very attentive.

Room we had was on 8th floor , with a large porthole type opening , I expected a Juliet tbh but alas not . Great view of lake though .Room although roomy and clean ,felt not much more than an upmarket holiday Inn express. Corridors seemed better appointed than rooms ie designer carpets , wall decor . Carpets would of made a more luxurious feel and a decent window . Perhaps adding a bit more cash might get it , we paid £300 for the night with no breakfast inc.

The location is perfect. Quietly by the lake by easy to walk to old town Annecy. Decor and style of interiors very nice. We were there just prior to Xmas and it looked beautiful. The staff were lovely, especially the dining/breakfast and bar staff. Jean jacques at dinner was especially nice and at breakfast a lovely gent with red hair and glasses whose name I have forgotten was doing a marvellous job, always checking with his guests that all was well. The Spa area is wonderful. It was also our daughter’s 21st and we were surprised in our room with cake and champagne. Truly, thank you so very much.

Spacious, elegant hotel situated in front of a park overlooking the beautiful lake. The staff was extremely helpful and keen to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, as was anything, food or drink, that we ordered from the bar.

My only criticism, which according to the reception staff, has been voiced several times before but has been ignored by management, is that no hot drinks are offered at breakfast and one is left to try to attract the attention of a waiter to order them. Most of the time even that wasn't that successful as they either forgot our order altogether (and didn't apologise) or brought the wrong thing. There is a coffee machine but it only serves espresso. The same issue exists if you want to order pancakes or an omelette: you normally have to leave your seat to find a waiter. It leaves you feeling very uncared for, which is a crazy risk to take at such a smart hotel which attracts very wealthy customers.
