The room was on the top floor and had an excellent partial view of Lac d'Annecy. The breakfast was very complete, offering many choices and a cozy area to enjoy it. It was also possible to bring your breakfast outside and sit at a table there. There was on-site parking, which is convenient if it's not full. It was a short walk down the hill (about 200 meters) to the lakeside. You can walk to the old town in about 12 minutes.

The bathroom was simple and did not have a shower curtain, so it was hard to contain water from flowing everywhere in the bathroom and even into the sleeping area. It was about 30 degrees C the 4 days we were there and there was no air conditioning. A small rotating fan was provided, which helped a bit. I had stayed here in the summer of 2016 for 3 nights and had a better room with a more complete bathroom and a balcony. Make sure you ask for those ones.

It was all lovely! The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was spacious, with a beautiful view of the lake from the bedroom window. The bathroom was a perfect size with a bath in it and the water was hot. The breakfast was fabulous, and Kirsty was a friendly and charming hostess. The location was good too, only about 2.5 minutes bus ride into town from the bus stop at the bottom of the road.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Imposing building with impressive interior. Comfy and cozy room. Location is not central, but close enough to town along the beautiful lake. On site parking was important to us and worked well. Nice tech touch to have a downloadable app that acts like bluetooth key for the room door.

It may be a regional thing, but pre-authorising a deposit amount on my credit card, after fully paying the stay and taxes was something strange and a first for me.

We've enjoyed very much the warm welcoming by the receptionist who also gave helpful information to explore the city and the lake by bike. The breakfast has many tasty options to choose. We hardly hear anything from the main road at night sleeping with an open window.

The room was rather too small for two persons.

Everything from arrival to lovely staff, restaurant recommendations and friendliness. The room and view were superb. Parking on the property and the bonus of the hamman and dry sauna were wonderful. Delicious breakfast and the lovely walk around the lake into the old town was a pleasure. Highly recommend and would love to come back!

Having to leave

Very quiet location but within walking distance to the city center. The room was well equipped with water boiler etc, comfortable and clean. The parking facilities were excellent.

The WiFi connection in our room was not powerful and as our room faced the mountain, there was no network signal to be had.

Had free parking, a lift, and close to the lake and walking distance to town.

The breakfast room was small, and there were ants on the tables with the food. Beds moved around as the wheels didn't lock? Plug inside were in weird spots and no place to really plug in the hot pot.

Love it here. Right on the lake and with a homely, slightly quirky vibe. Have stayed before and came back out of nostalgia. Rooms are cute and well-heated in winter. Staff friendly and helpful! Thanks

Staff, room and view and parking good for me as have to use walking stick so could park next to hotel front door.

Warning of long steep hill to walk up and down to get to bus. No restaurant so prices of snack and drinks exorbitant.

Fabulous location about fifteen mins walk to the Old Town. The hotel is set off the main road, on a hill, which is sufficiently out of the way not to hear Road noise. our room had glimpsed views of the lake. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the warm welcome from the lady on Reception was appreciated. The hotel is on the quirky side but rooms and all the public areas were immaculate. bed very comfy. The breakfast was superb, with lots of choices and you cook even freshly cook your own egg! would thoroughly recommend. Parking, although not secure as such, was right by the hotel on the hill and seemed relatively secure, being as it is a little way from the road.

we would have loved a kettle/tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
