Location absolutely perfect between train and main square. Super clean, large rooms for what you pay for. Lovely clean linen. Nice set up. Delicious breakfast and coffee wow. Loved my stay apart from the curtains.

Room looked onto street with only sheer curtains. I ended up tying up the towels on each side to cover as this was a bit creepy for a solo traveller. Aircon was strong but then lost all coolness sitting under the curtains. I couldn’t move the curtains as then the world could see in. Overall they need new curtains for privacy and air.

Great location about 10 mins walk from train station. Close to many food options and beach. Very nice staff who were welcoming. Stayed an extra night due to train strike and this was no problem. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Would stay again.

Everything was good . Just a note that Room 6 is right at front door so do get a bit of noise from guests on terrace and coming home late at night. You can close the shutters from the outside for less light & more privacy as only light curtains in the room.

Very beautiful property! The room was very large and comfortable, with a possibility to transform in two. Very authentic also, beautiful paintings on the walls and amazing garden in the centre of the city. The reception staff was very kind and welcoming.

We had a room on the ground floor and there was a smell of something that seemed like humidity. We had to air frequently.

Location was perfect. Rooms were spacious and had all we needed. Most of the staff were friendly especially cleaners and the handyman. His name escapes me, but he was so helpful. Breakfast was included and had a good range and was fresh. Although a little strange having Tiramisu on the breakfast menu, I couldn't help but to try it.

This is a beautifully historic building in Calabria. As such there are some nuances like more stairs and smaller bathrooms but includer more to look at when in the room or sitting in the courtyard. It is in a great location to walk anywhere in Tropea. The staff is very nice and will help when you ask and helps to speak some basic italian. A storm knocked out the power and water pump on site. They were quick to repair this by italian standards but also took coffee orders to bring on site while waiting.

Ac did not completely cool down my room but others were fine.

The building was charming and the location was perfect within walking distance of the railway station, the port, the beach and all the restaurants and shops you could need. The breakfast was outstanding and the shady garden terrace was a welcome addition. The staff couldn’t be more pleasant and helpful, especially Danielle.

I loved this hotel. It is beautifully well kept with a lovely courtyard where you eat the amazing breakfast (best one I encountered on my travels). The staff was friendly & accommodating, and it was fun getting teased by Giancarlo about my coffee intake 🙃 Valaria was also great, and upgraded my room to a bigger brighter room, which i was very grateful for. i will definitely stay here again if i visit Tropea!

I loved our stay at Hotel Villa Antica Tropea! The hotel has so much charm and character. Our room was clean and comfortable with an amazing bathroom that included a jacuzzi tub! The breakfast (which was included) was the best I have ever had. Amazing selection of savoury and sweet. Excellent coffee bar and super friendly and helpful staff. I can’t say enough about this place! I would LOVE to come back.❤️

We are so glad we booked this hotel. It’s a prefect location right near all the restaurants and shops but the rooms are located in areas that you are not disturbed by any sound. Breakfast was the best out of everywhere we stayed in Italy and the staff were really lovely people. Good pillows that were nice and fluffy. Most other Italian hotels the pillows were so flat so was nice to have decent pillows here, comfortable bed, AC worked well and room is a good size which is important when you have 3 large suitcases. There is a beautiful courtyard area too that breakfast is held in and you can sit in the afternoon.

Beautiful and cozy hotel in period villa, with nice garden at perfect location in Tropea. We appreciated the valet parking and the friendly and helpful staff, and the breakfast with great coffeebar in the garden. Also window blinds were great to block out sunlight in the morning. Walking distance to all Tropea has to offer.

Room and bed were ok. Hotel has many small steps up and down (even in the room) make it unsuitable for less mobile guests. We would have preferred a modern well working walk-in (rain-)shower to the old and not wel working massage-shower-cabin plus whirlpool in our bathroom.
