I liked that It had a kitchen with cooking appliances, it is animal friendly and cozy. It was like a home away from home. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was affordable so close to Christmas. Good sized room and kitchen. Quiet and relaxing.

I didn't like that there was no extractor fan in the bathroom, the sliding door has gaps and the steam wets my clean clothes and gets into the room we sleep in. The toilet door is a bit awkward to get in and out. There was no kitchen cloth or big pot for cooking. The sky light was very bright to wake up too with no option to block the light. The wall tv was quite low to the ground.

The location was right on State Highway One and everything was in close proximity. Just over the road was a lovely Bakery that opens early in the morning which is ideal for coffee and breakfast. Although its not the most modern motel it was very clean and had everything you would need for a relaxing stay. The Foxton Beach is not far away and you can drive on the beach (be carefully of the driftwood).

There was nothing that we didnt like. We had travelled non stop for over 10 hours and needed a break so we chose this motel. It was close to the main street and the bakery over the road that opens early was lovely. The hotel owner was very pleasant and the room was clean and comfy.

The owner was incredibly friendly and always went out of their way to help with anything we needed. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see and do. We really appreciated the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, which made it easy to unwind after a busy day. The overall experience exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back again. Highly recommend!

Suggestion could put a toilet rubbish bin in the bathroom?

We were warmly welcome from reception Was central to where we needed to be Beautiful space and rooms were beautiful and clean. We booked two rooms One for my brother and his Young family one for myself and my mum and her sister beds were super comfy and warm clean Would absolutely recommend this motel to family and friends We as a family five this motel and Owners 10 stars

Wasn't anything we didn't like

Overnite stay on my home north after evening disembarkation from Interislander ferry. Evening arrival to motel.....door left unlocked and light left on. Appreciated. Old school decor inside the motel unit.....but really enjoyed it. Everything functional, reliable and comfortable. Spacious inside. Had a good nights sleep which was the priority before hitting the road again. Worked for me.

Brilliant little motel in a convenient location just off state highway 1. Myself and my father have stayed here before and received the same brilliant hospitality . Hosts are friendly, rooms are no frills very clean has everything you need bathroom and kitchen amenities provided utensils. Linen is fresh and clean and beds were comfy. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. Great food bar across the road that opens early and motel is located about 2min drive from the main Foxton centre. Great location, great place to stay and great, friendly hosts what more can I say

No cons at all place is fantastic

This was a nice place to stay. It was an older motel with charm. Good price for what you get. Plenty of car parking. There are two places to eat within a walk away. The room was spacious. The kitchenette had everything you need if you wanted to prepare a meal in your room. The bathroom was also a good size and there were two comfortable bed. It was a very comfortable over the night stay.

Although Castletown Motel is an older motel, their standard of cleanliness is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. The beds were comfortable. There are no mod cons, but it was fully functional with everything you need. We appreciated being able to have our dog stay with us in his crate. Overall, Castletown Motel exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend staying here.

We stayed in a unit with a full kitchen, so we could make our own food and tea/coffee etc. Always cosy staying here in Foxton, close to all amenities, just walk across the road to the shop or cafe for cooked breakfast. Big carpark outside your unit, outdoor flow and spacious bathroom with a separate toilet. Most motels or hotels have a toilet in the bathroom.

We liked everything.

We were a little late arriving but this presented no problem, the unit was comfortable, clean and looked as if recently redecorated. Bed was comfortable and had everything available that was required. Thank you Team Castletown keep up the good work.
