Don't be fooled by the exterior. The rooms are in the process of being refurbished, and the quality is fantastic, tastefully decorated, warm and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The little details made the stay even more enjoyable such as being able to see the light sensor in a dark room and being able to see which taps were hot and cold without needing my spectacles. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was great having an onsite restaurant and the meals were lovely The location is excellent, and easy walk to the city centre I would 100 percent recommend this hotel to anyone. It's great value for money.

Lovely room. No cleaning product smell. Clean and well-stocked bathroom.

I asked for a room with two beds but ended up with one King-sized bed. There was a bed settee that looked comfortable but had no bedding. Decided not to go back to reception and sort this as we had been given an upgrade (although I thought we were still getting two beds). It was also pouring with rain so decided to stay put. Overall very happy with the room though.

The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very quiet (apart from occasional guest noise). The beds were very comfortable too and we made good use of the guest laundry. The best thing though was the wonderful staff who were always very friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome.

Only thing we didn’t like was the rather dull lighting which made it a little difficult at times for old girls like us to see small details.

everything in the room was amazing beds where comfy and the seats where also comfy. the Shower was absolutely stunning. the rooms were warm and lovely. the carpet was new and comfy to lay down on as well

how close the toilet is to the wall i felt like i was sitting on the wall just to use the toilet im a big girl so that was my only issue however the bathroom in beautiful and stunning specially with the glow light in the mirror

$50 ,for cornflakes and toast was over the top was the reason why we didnt have breakfasts on the 2nd day. The location is perfect with offstreet and undercover parking and closnest to city centre

The only thing that was subpar was the bed it was to soft Im a double hip replacement person and the bed gave no surport and only 1 chair with the beds as the only other sitting option

Liked the location and the hotel, great off street underground parking and dry access to hotel.

There wasn't a great welcome or information, just felt like business transaction. Other than the hotel menu in the room there was no information on how to work tv. Gain internet. Hotel facilities available to access. Breakfast time or cost. Electric blanket on queen bed had no method to reach closest plug.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect, just a short distance from town. The facilities were impressive, and the room felt boujee on a budget — stylish, comfortable, and great value. Would definitely recommend!”

only downside was that it was really cold in New Zealand during my stay, so I couldn’t use the pool, but that’s not the property’s fault. Overall, a great experience

The hotel is beautiful. We walked the grounds, the gardens were well maintained and I love the period look. The staff were lovely and the room was super clean. Free parking was also a nice suprise.

The rooms are quite dated. But I saw that there is going to be renovations which is well overdue. The spa pool was out of order and the pool is not heated so that was dissapointing.

How accurately the photos depict the space that I needed, the consumables that were provided, the friendliness of staff, definitely the location, comfortable bed and pillows and heaps of wardrobe space

The building is old, but wallpaper can be patched up, so can curtains and the shower head could be replaced. The elevator could also use some love. Restaurant food was quite average

the room once I was swapped over from another room was comfortable but tired and a little dark. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the young lady that brought up my room service was cheerful and helpful.

The first room I was booked into was not made up by house keeping and real shock walking into the room to a total mess. Reception was able to find another room. Also, I paid for 2 breakfasts not one and staff did not offer a refund on the over payment.
