The accomodation was basic, but had everthing we needed and was spotlessly clean and tidy. We especially loved the owner/manager, Linda, who was fantastic, so very accomodating when we needed to extend our stay, and full of beautiful wisdom that both my wife and I were so very grateful for. Thanks Linda, we'll definitely stay here again.

Just the road noise, which is understandable being on State highway 1. But this can be managed with airplugs, which I was happy to see, the Motel provided for free in the office.

The room was lovely and warm upon check-in. Self check-in was available as we arrived later in the evening. The room was adequate and what we needed. I found the single bed a bit spongy, but I'm used to a very firm bed. The ear plugs were an excellent touch given the main road location. Extremely clean, which I value a lot. Warm beds on a very cold night.

Single story, ground floor, easy access, clean, fresh and practical with every thing necessary. Fresh fruit and flowers 💐 growing, flourishing a bright inspiring and relaxing detail. Friendly helpful staff not hovering but available was nice. A restful oasis in the busy stream of traffic.

Traffic noise at times

Location was perfect for our group. On the main road, hardly noticed the noise but for those super sensitive earplugs were supplied. Nice collection of coffees and biscuits and mints gave it the extra touch. An older motel but very clean and the beds were amazing. Best sleep ever. Nice little town with nice giftware shops. Close to service station and short stroll to the bus stop.

Everything was good and the manager/owner very helpful and obliging

The communication with Linda was amazing and she was so accommodating when we we were arriving late. Light was left on and instructions for lockbox were very easy to follow. Beds were super comfy with crispy white sheets and the pristine white towels were lovely.. It's a "don't judge a book by it's cover". Older style motel and doesn't look much from the outside but lovely to stay at with lots of little extras.

Nothing we didn't like

Staff were welcoming and offered us to just ask for anything extra like more towels or milk. Wonderfully clean. Great little extras which showed care for guests/ mints, fly spray, ear plugs etc. linen was so clean and fresh.

We knew there would be traffic noise. Can’t be helped on busy road. Earplugs available at reception recommended. Thankyou. But it was quieter than other motel in Sanson. We expected it so it wasn’t an issue.

Clean and tidy. Had everything we wanted. We had a late check in, and the heaters were turned on for us. We were super grateful. Also luke to thank you for accommodating our ute and trailer. We.will be back soon cheers

Te kaimahi, front office, we turned up after 9pm, she was amazing, ataahua beautiful 👌 ❤️, the place was little but I was comfortable and my gurls, had a good sleep. Always welcoming, nga mihi Love from Emily and whanau... I'll definitely go there again.. Sanson, whaaat.....

A little bit of road noise as it is on the state highway, but didn't affect my stay or sleep

It was the perfect stop over after a delay on the ferry into Wellington. It was so nice to have our room heated ready for our late arrival. We had a great nights sleep before hitting the road again early in the morning.
