I do not write many reviews of places my wife and I stay at but this property is well worth reviewing. This is our third trip to NZ and the property is up there at the top of the list. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment at the back of the property which is like a self-contained ground floor flat with parking on the edge of town. (There are smaller accommodation units at the front of the property). It had a large living-kitchen area with full height fridge-freezer a four ring hob and dishwasher. There is plenty of storage in the separate bedroom and also a separate utility area with washing machine and tumble drier. Five minutes’ walk around the corner is a lovely park well laid out and plenty for the kid’s and big kids to do to keep themselves amused. The other side of the park is a very long paved area along the river even long enough for a 5Km park run every Saturday morning. Your hosts Amber and Neil are very welcoming and are always there to assist if needed.

The quiet location of this motel is perfect for those wishing to access the Manawatu River, Parkrun, Botanic Gardens and the Lido. It is also close enough to be convenient to both the Square and the University. Proprietors, Neil and Amber, who have only been there a short time, are welcoming and enthusiastic. A new initiative was barista coffee to order, delivered to the door. The room was very clean, the shower was excellent, as was the WIFI

The accommodation would benefit from a general makeover as some fixtures and furnishings were looking a little tired and well worn. I assume this will be on the agenda for the new owners.

Beds were super comfortable. Rooms were nice and clean, cleaning staff were really friendly

Only thing was the reception was not open the hours it stated in the book in the room. Bit annoying when early in the morning there was no extra toilet paper in the bathroom. And wanting to use the laundry (which is locked) in the evening, but the reception had closed early.

The staff are so lovely and even if you say you only need a top up of coffee nothing else the staff will still give your room a service daily with fresh towels etc. If you wash your own dishes you will come back to your room with them put away just amazing all round at the Comfort Inn Kauri Court. Definitely recommend to stay kiwi owned and operated which is a rear find these days.

We felt well looked after by our hosts who made every effort to assist us. I needed an accessible room which was not quite fully accessible unfortunately, however with some thoughts and ideas from us I am sure there will be some improvements. Be sure to call them directly and they will help where they can to meet your needs. I have to say the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable.,

Cleanliness

We got an upgrade which was a lovely surprise so had more facilities than expected - a full kitchen and laundry facilities. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It was quiet and relaxing, with modern decor.

TV reception was a bit variable in the living space but great in the bedroom.

Everything was top notch. Really was 5 star treatment with offers to help with bags & bikes upon arrival. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Location perfect for exploring surrounds. Lovely cafe within 2 min walk. Many thanks to owner/operators Neil and Amber for an enjoyable stay.

location was fantastic, apart from the road noise the place was great. Lady on the desk was friendly, room was spectacularly clean. Shower was outstanding and the beds were ok. Only first world issue was no Sky or streaming tv but as I said, a first world issue.

Beautiful friendly hosts we arrived as guests left feeling like part of the family 😂. Rooms so Very clean and spacious beds comfortable. Everything was 10 out of 10 We will definitely return thanks for the lovely stay 💜

Absolutely nothing everything was perfect 💜

Large kitchen in our 3 bedroom apartment. Tvs in each bedroom meant we had our own space to chill out. Room had modern appliances. Sound proof doors between bedrooms and main living space was an added bonus!

A slightly larger chopping board would have been helpful in the kitchen when preparing food for 6.
