Friendly welcome on arrival and farewell on departure. Designated numbered car park per unit. All ground floor units so easily accessible. Spacious one bedroom unit which appeared recently redecorated with a modern bathroom, good furnishings and air conditioning unit. A good selection of kitchen and bathroom items and loved the heated towel rail on a cold winter morning. The little treat on each bed on arrival was a nice touch. Individual bedside tables with lamps were great. Very handy bedroom closet with full length mirror, drawer storage, iron and ironing board. The unit was exceptionally clean and the surrounding grounds were immaculate. A good location with an easy drive to the city centre. Would definitely recommend and have rebooked.

Location was great, short walk to park (either cross road or walk just a little bit further to riverside underpass). Rooms are well sheltered from road noise. WIFI was consistent and strong. Parking allocated so no fighting or first-come first-served even if arrive back late.

Bed base was made of 2 singles - was a bit of a lump in the middle. Showers were strong and way hot enough but suggest look to upgrade the shower heads to a modern style (for overhead flow rather from wall mount - currently bit hard for taller folks.)

From the very beginning our stay was great. We arrived quite early, not planned, but the member of staff greeted us and made us feel very welcome. We were also able to have our room which was a bonus. I was able to catch up on the washing too and the cost was very reasonable. We were given information about the local area which meant we could go for a great walk in the park across the road. Highly recommend that! The room was large, spotlessly clean with great facilities to prepare a simple meal. The bed was huge and very comfy. We were able to watch tv from the comfy couch. Parking was in an allocated spot outside the room which was great, not a first come basis

You could hear very slight noise from next door but not more than you’d expect. Also when people arrived back.

Location was close to where we needed to be. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked kitchen and bathroom supplies. Towels were fluffy and linen clean and much nicer than some hotels I've stayed at. Friendly staff and amazing service and welcome at reception. Would rate as one of our best stays in Palmerston North and we come through a lot for golf. We appreciated the fact they accommodated for our two small dogs, who are very well behaved/quiet and came up last minute with my husband and could stay in the van next to our room. Also had laundry facilities which was handy and very clean too. Nice quiet location and plenty of parking.

Probably just our neighbors who were quite noisy outside their room but that's not the hotels fault. Just a happy bunch of young people.

I was expecting a cheap and cheerful overnight stay whilst in the city for an event. I found this place via a search and figured at that price it was worth giving it a go. It was lovely, well appointed, sparkling clean and spacious. The beds were really comfortable with plenty of pillows and bedding. The staff were SOO lovely, allowing us to pick up our key early (we wouldn't be able to be back until after check-in closed for the evening) and making sure our room was ready for us when we got back. I would highly recommend giving this place a go.

Honestly, I'm not sure anything could have been better. I was able to hear a little road noise (only quietly, as a background sound), but being right on the main road that was going to be inevitable. That is the only thing I can think of.

I love Harringtons! I've stayed there 3 times now and every time has been consistently excellent. It's not the newest motel, but the owners are incredibly friendly and nothing is a problem. They always leave extra treats around the room which is an unexpected delight. The rooms are always spotlessly clean, warm and extremely comfortable. In winter there are electric blankets on the bed for extra cosiness. Finally the location is brilliant for Palmerston North, especially if you want to head out for a walk or a run with the river, Lagoon and Esplanade literally on the doorstep.

It was very comfortable and we particularly liked the handrails in the shower and by the toilet area - realised later that that it was a disability unit but was extremely suitable for elderly people such as ourselves. Often shower and bath areas are very slippery but while we didn't have this problem it was nice to know handrails were there for support if needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the heat pump certainly warmed the unit up. The unit was also extremely clean and there were plenty of towels.

I stayed here for almost three weeks in late 2023 and it was perfect for my needs. This is a very well-run motel. The hosts are professional, friendly, and very responsive to any requests. They obviously care about guest satisfaction and comfort. The room was very clean and quiet. There is a well-equipped kitchenette and a good-sized TV with many channels. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well the entire visit. The location is excellent because it is directly across the road from the Esplanade which is a fantastic urban park with natural bush, formal gardens and lots of walking paths and track, and also (for families) a large playground and wading pool for kids. There's a bus stop right at the gate and it's only a few minutes ride to The Square and the Plaza shopping center. I'm very happy to have chosen Harringtons for my stay and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The entire place is clean and immaculate both inside the motel unit and the grounds outside. Very warm welcome upon checking in. Room was very spacious, and as mentioned already very clean and well presented. Bed was comfortable and there was a couch to sit on to watch sky tv. I didn’t use the cooking facilities but it was fully equiped to make basic meals. I’d definitely stay here again when I come back to Palmy. Close to the river walks too.

staff are nice and friendly. the location is close to Massey Uni, I was there for lectures. everything is clean and nice.

they could change the fire alarm batteries regularly, even if not until the battery is completely dead, and could change the battery before the alarm started to have "bibi" sounds. because if it happens during the middle of the night, guests might have to wait until the next morning to deal with it. I didn't sleep the first whole night until the morning when we took off the alarm.
