Nice updated bathroom, good size rooms and plenty of beds to accommodate 3 families. James the manager was exceptional to deal with. Good heating in common area eg lounge and dining with abheta pump and option of fireplace in winter.

Another full size bathroom with shower to accommodate a large group would have been handy. Very minimal heating in bedrooms other than individual electric heaters which aren't particularly safe for young children walking around. Thankfully we didn't visit in winter so it wasn't too bad and only needed heaters at night when kids were sleeping.

I love the self service aspect, we booked our stay with very little notice and rolled in after 7pm. Followed the instructions on the reception door to call a number and we were helped right away. There are lock boxes with the key, they give you a code and boom you're in. I love how quiet it is, and it backs on to a farm with sheep out the window, just stunning. Great price, great service and such a cute tiny home.

The price was affordable, and my stay was excellent. The facilities are clean, tidy, and comfortable. Will definitely be staying again.

I was surprised there were no electric blankets provided, especially for the very cold weather However, there were plenty of extra blankets, and the 2 heaters soon warmed up the place. Also, sending my ID via email had me concerned.

Great accommodation with everything we needed. Good wi-fi and Android TV with Netflix. Where this property really stands out is with the incredibly helpful service from Jason and Pam. We have been unexpectedly held up in Masterton for a week due to car issues, but they have gone out of their way to help us with luggage storage and rebooking and late checkouts at short notice as the situation changes on a daily basis. I cannot thank them enough for their friendly and kind hospitality.

It was very clean. It accommodated my dog, which was hugely appreciated. Very easy to find and plenty of parking. Staff were very helpful and nice.

The light outside was on at night (for safety) but the blinds in the kitchen didn't block it out sufficiently and it was very bright at night in the room. The TV was extremely slow to work and couldn't connect to the internet so wasn't usable.

It was great to find accommodation for large families. Was grateful for that. The rooms were well equipped and very clean.

I walked to the office from the driveway entrance as they don't have parking by the office. The door was locked when we arrived. It was 7:06 pm so I rang the after hours number as we had booked about 10 minutes prior to turning up. It was a last minute booking as the weather conditions were really bad for travelling home. When the manager / owner was eventually contacted, he called and said he'll be there in about 5 mins. I wasn't impressed walking to and fro in the rain to wait even longer. That's my only gripe.

Plenty of space. Comfortable and warm. James is a very accommodating, courteous host.

Shower mixer was hard to regulate to a comfortable warmth, either scolding hot or freezing, flow was slow which made long hair deep rinsing impossible n squirted out the side like an old man takin a..... Ok for us men but women will expect better.

the last few times i have stayed the TV is tuned into the previous guests netflix or gmail accounts and I just cannot use the TV to watch the news, especially when I get in late and don't want to bother James. Be great if these addresses etc were wiped when the guests leave. Otherwise experience was great as usual

The hot water in the studio apartment was turned up way, way too hot, in fact dangerously hot. It hurt our hands to wash the dishes. This is a risk to children. No hot water in NZ should be set at any higher than 50 degrees Celsius. The shower also is burning hot and was difficult to get to a cool enough temperature. This sems to be an unnecessary waste of power, heating your water to so high a temperature.

Great grounds, kids had space to play cricket. Short drive to centre of Masterton. James was amazing, we were a set of linen short and he was quick to sort it out. Then we managed the leave some of our belongings behind and it was no problem for us to sort out a friend to pick them up. Thanks James!
