The food was delicious - we had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. The room had a lovely view of the sea. Rooms are very comfortable. Staff are friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

The only small thing was in the restaurant on our second night - when it was busy - there didn’t seem to be enough dining room staff. We had a reservation and arrived at that time. We were left at the entrance for 5 minutes with no sign of a staff member. I had to then go and find someone. We then didn’t get our drink for another 20 minutes from ordering it. I think that they forgot about it. We had to ask again. So we were nearly half an hour from arriving at the restaurant to actually getting a drink. It seemed a bit chaotic. If it wasn’t for that - it would have been a perfect stay. The food however really made up for it, and as I said it was a busy time - although not full.

Well we booked this place because of the ghostroom and it was our start for the roadtrip to the Giants causeway. We thought that the place was booked with either goths or ghost hunters (we like that kind of People so I am not judging) but non of that was the case. Just regular People who booked a room to enjoy the castle and it amazing surroundings. The staff was very helpfull, generous and very very kind!! The rooms where very comfortable and clean. I only thought that the smell in the castle was not exactly my kind of fragrance. But perhaps this is due to the ghosts that stay at BallyGally 👻😋.

I have no complaint.😃

In the Ballygally castle hotel you receive wonderfully big, comfortable rooms with king size beds that both make you feel truly royal. Add to it the amazing staff who go out of their way to answer all your requests and wishes and you got yourself a place you won’t ever want to leave. Spotlessly clean, located practically on the beach with a view that takes your heart away and a garden looked after with great care, love and attention it also offers parking spaces in front of its entrance. There’s absolutely nothing more you could ask for. And I could go on like this much much longer still. Or say it out plainly - if you’re in the area, that’s a place you don’t want to miss.

The hotel had a very relaxed comfortable feeling, the staff were very helpful and supportive , the rooms were very well presented , I slept very well. The food was delicious my dinner was lovely and the breakfast was very good.

The only thing which we found negative was the heat in the rooms on the front my daughter and her husband were unable to cool the room , when the staff were informed the only suggestion was they could have another fan ? Re circulating hot air doesn’t cool the room

The view was not great, but the room was large and comfortable with a king bed and full bath. Very quiet. Many of the sea facing rooms under renovation looked small, so we were very happy with ours. Grounds are very nice and parking is convenient. Great location next to beach about a 10 minute drive from Larne. The ghost room and castle portion have an interesting history. Breakfast buffet is pricy, but Bushmills on porridge starts the day right.

Dining room is pricy and food is mediocre.

Location is great and good to have electric vehicle charging in hotel car park. There is usually a non EV car parked here but I think it is staff and they will move if you ask. Lift was not working but thankfully this did not affect our party but could have been an issue for those with mobility issues. Food was excellent and rooms are nice and spacious. Great sea views whilst having a drink and staff are very well trained and attentive. Gardens are small but immaculately kept and worth a stroll around. Bed is comfortable. Ghost room was class and atmospheric. Game of Thrones door to restaurant is really cool.

Non EV car parked in EV charging spaces. Lift not working. Pillows a bit like marshmallows and not very supportive. No emailing list for offers.

The hotel is situated right on the coast with beautiful sea views. Rooms are modern and comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was a problem. Beautiful decor throughout the reception area. Well worth its Star rating.

4pm check-in when travelling a long journey to an in situ wedding at 2pm meant that dressing was a challenge.

The location is spectacular along the coast in a sparsely populated area, yet conveniences are just a short drive away. A sandy beach out the front door. Wonderfully kept grounds and garden paths inside the castle walls. A well kept original castle tower turret room with an ancient haunting story.

Aside from the exterior surfaces of the bawn, and to a lesser degree the interior and exterior of the castle tower, the restorations and modernizations have mostly white-washed away the original character of this 17th century castle leaving the interior to look like a modern upscale hotel. I wished they would have done more to preserve the original finish characteristics of the dining hall and other historic buildings as well.

Hotel was beautiful and the game of Throne theme throughout was fab! Room was huge, bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was great. All was spotless. The staff made our stay, we went for a couple of days break and to watch the Cheltenham races, the bar staff were brilliant both days (Even remembered on the 2nd day and offered to put the TV on correct channel for us). Restaurant and reception staff again were fabulous and always remembered us from small things like adding on breakfast last minute the 2nd day and not having to even re tell them our name/room number. The food was also amazing! Grounds are also lovely, garden at the back with the river walk. Brilliant, will be back!

Can't fault anything at all except I didn't know there was a 'ghost room' we could go in and see until I got home (Will have to return just for this!)

Lovely.hotel, beautiful views, very easily accessed from Larne and Belfast, friendly staff

The Lite Bites in the bar were very disappointing; the prawn cocktail in the restaurant for dinner was defrosted frozen prawns that had no flavour whatsoever, and was basically sitting in water. The marie rose sauce was a watery pink concoction. The waiter did take the cost of this off our bill as it was essentially inedible
