The room was large and the beds so comfortable that we passed out every night. The spa facilities were wonderful and the facial excellent. I had to work a little on the trip and really appreciated the large lobby space that allowed me to do my work outside of the room. The roof top pool area and hot tubs were a nice touch during our cold visit.

The roof top pool deck was barely cleaned and very ice. We saw a women fall and injure herself. They mentioned being unable to put salt down due to the floor conditions, I would suggest that in cold/icy weather they close the area or take more precautions for safety.

Prior to my check in I called and requested a 3 check in. Later that morning of check in I received text stating they would conisssr my 3 checkin. Drove 2.5 hours to arrive early and around 2:30 received a text from property that I could checkin at. E. So drive to hotel at 3 and room was not ready. In fact it was not ready until 4. So the text received was misleading

Checkin was not as I anticipated. I checked in at 3 due to text received from property stating I could check in at. 3 yet my room was not cleaned yet and they forgot to put my checking in the que. when I went back at 3:30 to check in room availability they said I was not in the que so then they added me. Time was important as our fu action stated at 4:30. We ended up being late since after we got to our room at 4 our luggage which was being held by co nciaier did not arrive until 4:30.

Some minor maintenance opportunities

The hotel was in a great location near all of the downtown attractions. Valet parking is included as part of the amenities fees. I typically don't like valet parking because I prefer to have access to my vehicle, however the valet crew let us know where our car would be parked and if we needed access to it, we only needed to ask. The front lobby was lovely and I appreciated that they had ice water available in the lobby area. The room was spacious, beds were comfy, and bathroom was clean and well stocked. I'm super picky about cleanliness at hotels and found zero to complain about here. We stopped by the bar in the evening and the bartender was awesome - we had a great conversation with him and some of the other guests and he made an excellent margarita!

Good garage attendants, decent housekeeping, ok front desk. Faux wood floors in rooms are good.

Food and Beverage is weak. Main restaurant shuts down about 8:30; literally they start shutting lights down around you. Looks nice but no ambiance, no music, staff in restaurant is not happy with their management. Locals won't go there because they don't have any idea how to create ambiance, lights are too bright, no music no promotion. Go somewhere outside of hotel, certainly outside of this hotel groups restaurants. Again, I like the decoration but they are really missing it.

Great location and always like the ambiance of the hotel

The front desk people weren’t manning the desk. A bell to call someone would be useful. It was Thanksgiving time so I give them a pass on that issue. Also it was very difficult to get change for large bills for tipping. Had to ask the bartender or wait staff. Finally I was told I wasn’t staying log enough to qualify for a room with a fireplace (3 days). I made reservations well in advance specifically to get a room.

The staff was very friendly, the pool and Jacuzzi were salt water which is way better for your skin. The hotel is right on the main street and the Agave restaurant had the most amazing food and margaritas.

The long walk to the room

The hotel is located right in downtown about 5 minutes walk from the main plaza square with access to restaurants downtown but also a 10 minute walk from the railyard arts district. You really don't need a car if you're staying here to visit Santa Fe unless you're going to Meow Wolf or hiking at nearby trails. The staff are incredibly courteous and accommodating in providing recommendations as well as reservations for restaurants. The room is comfortably appointed with the usual bottled water, fridge, and amenities.

During our visit the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment. We didn't hear any noise but it's an older hotel and it's good to see they're renovating the place to keep it updated. We also visited the pool, which was nice but being as the weather was cold, and it being outdoors, we never got to try it out. None of these points are necessarily bad for the hotel since it cannot control the weather nor be faulted for improving the place.

The Eldorado Hotel and Spa was comfortable and in an ideal location. The Plaza was an easy 8min walk away. The valet parking was very convenient. Staff were very helpful.

Unfortunately we had not been warned that the pool and hot tub would be under construction the 2 nights that we would be there. Thankfully, we were upgraded to a room on the 5th floor that gave us a balcony so at least we could have a place to sit outside.

The location of the hotel was great. You were right in the Old Town and everything was just a short walk. Entering the Hotel was everything was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. the restaurant was delicious and so were the margaritas. The pool was beautiful although a bit cold. The staff handled guests that were being rude not being able to drink alcohol in the spa very well as they were drunk and revolting to a young staff member.

The air-conditioning is our room did not work well and it did get hot.
