We've stayed here before and everything is always perfect. From the bar staff and waitresses to the checking-in staff and cleaners. The rooms are soooo comfortable! And you have literally everything you could think of to keep you hydrated, full and entertained. We always take our pooch and he is always well catered for with a bed and bowls provided in the room. He LOVES the dog beds they provide, as much as we love our bed! We even booked to stay an additional night after our initial Saturday night stay.
We chose to stay an extra night than planned - which was fine - but the only complaint we have was that the Sunday evening staff were nowhere near as kind and professional as the Saturday staff and Sunday AM staff. We were the only people waiting at the bar for a drink and they were just chatting amongst themselves. They clocked us at one point but continued to ignore us and continued chatting and laughing with each other. Extremely rude and uncalled for. But this is the first time we have experienced this when we have stayed here so I would like to think this was a one-off. Certainly not to the standards that they usually have.

We booked the Captain's Suite and the room was amazing. We especially loved the record player and selection of records in the room. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were so helpful - as it was my boyfriend's birthday they helped surprise him by setting up the room with a banner and balloons I had sent to them beforehand. They communicated well through the Booking.com conversation so this was easy for us to arrange. We also had a meal voucher that we used in the restaurant, the food was great and the staff offered tasters of the beers if you were unsure about what drink to have to go with your meal. The staff let us drop our bags off before our check in time, and let us leave them there after we'd checked out as our train home wasn't until the late afternoon which enabled us to really enjoy a couple of days out in Manchester without having to carry round bags. We had a great stay. A big thank you to all the staff!
Nothing, everything was perfect.

Staff: Staff were excellent, especially Ben. Staff were flexible and easy going which was really nice. Room: Room was good but not luxurious. Bed comfy. Style of room fun and gimmicky for a one off. Food: Food good. Portions excellent. Dinner included which was good. Emails and communication: Easy communication with staff and the hotel. Ability to add on extras was very convenient and appreciated. We added the shower beer. Location: Fantastic, central location in Manchester city centre. Close by to all amenities. Noise: Triple glazing windows which worked well, did not get disturbed when sleeping at night. Also curtains and black out blinds. Car park: Car park rates good (£18 24 hrs) and car park convenient. Overall: Great stay overall and would recommend for a short stay. Fantastic if treating a beer lover! Would recommend the beer school too.
Cleanliness: Cleanliness generally good although sink area dusty. Bathroom: Bathroom not very private from bedroom, just partition steel and frosted windows. Mini bar: Mini bar (maxi bar!) and snacks very expensive and therefore not used.

Great location and price was on point. Room was large enough and the facilities were all we needed. Decor was stylish. The food credit and arrival drink is an excellent ideal and that made me book this hotel. Bed and pillows comfy which is a rarity these days!
The lighting in the room was an odd set up but that's a minor observation. I found a previous occupants peanut on the floor which the cleaner missed but again minor. The vinyl setup we couldn't work and I've seen on youtube that someone else couldn't get it to work either. The TV needs access to youtube and that would be perfect!

Lots of nice bonus additions - Welcome drink, help-yourself pick and mix, water refill station, complimentary curly wurlys! Underfloor heating in the bathroom was lovely. Automatic under-bed lights are helpful for nighttime trips to the loo! Spacious, bright and airy loft-style room. Credit towards food (enough to cover a full meal each), staff suggested we could use this for breakfast instead of dinner if we preferred which was great and we did just that! Staff were bubbly and warm, the atmosphere was chill and fabulous. Great music in the bar area! Extremely central location.
The room needed a little TLC; chipped bedside table, sealing in the shower was getting a bit black and grubby, bathrobes were very worn with half torn off pockets, the sound bar was tied to the tv with string and the record player in the room (though very cool!) was unbalanced and subsequently unusable since the needle was skating all over the place - the latter obviously not a terrible thing, but I was looking forward to using it since it’s there! Lots and lots of add ons, almost a bit TOO gimmicky - that just me though!

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday, and it was the best hotel we’ve ever experienced. The rooms were stunning, with lovely interiors, super comfy beds, and fluffy duvets. We had a dinner deal that included a £15 voucher each to spend in the restaurant, and although our expectations weren’t high because of the offer, the food was fantastic. A nice bonus was their eco-friendly reward system, you received a beer voucher each day if you reused your towels. The staff were exceptional, especially Eunice, who took care of us from check-in and even served us multiple times in the restaurant. She truly made our stay feel extra special. The location was also perfect, just a short 5-minute walk to the main street. The only minor downside was that the pre-ordered beer tap for my dad’s room didn’t work, but we were generously compensated, so it wasn’t a big issue.

Loved all the quirky items in the room, we upgraded our package for beers in the shower fridge, beer keg in room as well as pick & mix in the corridor! Comfy bed & pillows (we are buying the same pillows now 🤣)! Food was lovely both breakfast & evening meal! Staff were nice and friendly if we needed anything they were more than happy to help! Location is great, very close to the shopping area and about 10 mins away from the train station! Even sent postcards to other brew dogs around the world to get a free beer 🍺...
Nothing! Enjoyed the 2 night stay 😊 Apart from not being able to find the milk on the 1st morning for a brew in our room lol...

My only gripe which is extremely minor is that there weren’t enough milk sachets available in the room. There were only 2 when in reality, one per cup will only ever result in a very strong cup of tea/coffee. For the sake of saving the guest from having to call reception, I suggest being a little more generous, possibly 6 in total. Again I realise this is very minor but personally I look forward to that morning cup of tea and on this occasion it wasn’t great especially when you consider all the thought that’s gone in to all the other offerings in the room which are extensive!!

Fabulous hotel! Have just returned home from a 2 night stay. Couldn't fault a thing. The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much bother. Daisy and Dan, in particular, were fantastic, both very attentive, and Dan was full of knowledge of the local area. We stayed in one of the Captains Suites. The room was big and well laid out. Everything was perfect, the lighting, the temperature, and the comfortable bed. It was also spotless, as were all areas in the hotel and bar. The shower was fantastic, and I added on the shower beer package for my husbands birthday, which he loved. The room had lots of added extras, a turntable, guitar, and the biggest minibar I've ever seen! Our room was situated on the first floor above the bar, but there was no noise at all from downstairs, and the blackout curtains were fab, so we had a relaxing nights sleep. There was also a WhatsApp number so we could contact staff if need be, and could also use this to order hot dogs 24hours a day! There was a pick n mix stand in the hallway, which we made good use of 😉 We used the main bar a number of times, and also went up to the rooftop bar, with our drinks from downstairs as the bar up there wasn't open, but was still lovely to sit there with the patio heaters. Both were lovely. Huge choice of drinks. We had dinner on one night of our stay and brunch twice. The food was delicious. Very generous portions and quick service. Coffee also worth a mention as it was beautiful. All in all, a wonderful stay, and we can't wait to return!
Leaving.

Our second time at the dog house and as always we loved it! The staff were super polite and helpful and I'm really sorry but I can't remember their names. They deserve to be acknowledged though as they left us wanting for nothing. They even remembered my room number when I got back from the gig we went to and I was slightly tipsy!! The room was comfortable, cool and quiet and honestly a day wasn't long enough, maybe trip three will be longer.
Nothing really, but if I were to pick one thing, the blatant merch push on the rooms is a bit cheeky. I get pushing the big ticket items but the snacks and things, that's just too tempting, especially after a night out.
