Main dining room service slow at night and overpriced

This is not the first time we have visited the hotel-SPA, and we can say that in this case we found ourselves quite satisfied. Being able to swim in the thermal water pool is a wonderful experience. Also pleased that the thermal baths could be taken right in the room. The most valuable thing about the hotel is its location. Whilst the service was decent, it's accessibility to the main wine regions, and views in all directions was still the most important thing. Stepping out on the patio or climbing out of the pool we were directly frozen by the incredible beauty of Val d'Orcia. The staff were very attentive and tried their best to help. For example, the nearest bridge over the Orcia River was closed for repairs and we would have had to take a circuitous route to the restaurant. However, the member of staff at reception found out that the bridge was accessible at the weekend, even though all the navigators showed otherwise, and we saved a lot of travelling time. One of the most powerful experiences was a wine tasting in the Castle, conducted by the hotel sommelier. He told us about local wine in a wonderful, clear and interesting way, showed us vineyards, shared the secrets of their care and explained the peculiarities of each variety tasted. We were very impressed and grateful for this unique experience!

As usual, the bathroom is categorically lacking in clothes hooks, there could have been a lot more of them. The staff did not always understand what we asked them to do, probably due to a lack of English.

Staff was amazing and my 12 year old son actually said he didn’t want to leave because the staff was so nice. We also absolutely loved the thermal pool, steam rooms, and spa. Suite was huge and had an amazing terrace overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany. This was our second time visiting Montalcino and would never stay anywhere else!

The resort is simply placed in paradise with an amazing view of the countryside…relax and wellness are embedded in this place…the staff is amazing…just ready to make you feel the best of your experience…

Hard to find something to complain about. If you want to be a bit picky you could say that restaurant’ costs (including the restaurant on the pools) are too expensive compared to the normal costs…but I guess you pay also the beauty of the place and the surrounding…

I suggest to forbid SPA to kids cause it should be a relax area and not a children noisy playground. For this reason it can be useful control randomly the access to the area. We have asked for more shampoo and towels and we didn’t received it, so we went to reception in order to get them.

An extraordinary property set amongst stunning country side.

We felt the dining/drinks costs were a bit excessive, but not unexpected.

The location is amazing and the staff very helpful. The outdoor hot pools available all day until midnight is an exceptional experience.

Some decoration is a little bit outdated and the bathrooms may need soon to be renovated … but overall an excellent experience.

Fabulous pool facilities and room very comfortable . Restaurant was excellent and the staff were very helpful . Would definitely return .

Had to ask for a jug & tea which should have been in the room . Laundry costly !

the pools were too hot, would be great to have one of the pools being cool so you can cool down. suites are small (cozy) would be great to have another room with aircon in the property so you can cool down on hot days.

It’s absolutely beautiful and the view is breathtaking.

Two sandwiches and two waters $140. Couples massage $640. Breakfast you get minimum stuff and have to pay for eggs and everything else! Rip off
