It was an ideal location for us as we’d hired a car from Manchester airport & were visiting family in the surrounding local areas & it was also very easy from the hotel location to walk into Gatley. Owners are very friendly & keen to help if you needed anything at all. Would highly recommend it & I imagine ideal for anyone needing a stopover night if flying in or out of Manchester airport. Plus it has free on-site parking.

We knew about it being on the flight path but I guess some would say too noisy with the planes but the location was ideal for what we needed. Otherwise there is nothing we didn’t like about the hotel.

The staff, who are the owners, were wonderful, friendly and efficient and could not have done anything more to make our stay a very happy one. The breakfasts, whether one had a cooked breakfast or continental, were excellent and very plentiful. The location would be excellent for getting to the airport. We were visiting family nearby.

l would have liked a light near my bed, perhaps one that clipped onto the bedhead as there was no space in the family room to have a bedside table, due to the access to the en suite, not due to the size of the room. We will most certainly look forward to a return visit.

I had informed the hotel that it was my birthday and that I wanted to do something special for my girlfriend—and they truly went above and beyond. From the beautifully decorated room with balloons and a delicious cake to the thoughtful welcome and warm hospitality, everything was perfect. We were genuinely touched by the attention to detail and the care that went into making our stay so memorable. It was a heartfelt surprise that helped us create unforgettable memories together. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel truly special. We absolutely loved our experience and would love to visit again. Thank you so much—we’ll definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family!

A lovely, cosy, comfortable and friendly hotel. Quite old fashioned- and I mean that as a compliment. Good to see that small, personalised, friendly little hotels like this still exist. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I had a very relaxing stay and slept really well. The room was comfortable and had everything i needed for the weekend. The location was also good and easy to access central Manchester and local areas. I thought it would be noisy due to the nearby airport but it wasn't.

Period property close to airport with a host recommended taxi from airport to hotel and vise versa. I requested a ground floor room which was comfortable and nicely furnished in tasteful style. Comfy bed with cotton bedding. Ensuite small but adequate for my 1 night stay. The property has a lounge and dining room and offers bed and breakfast and dinner if booked. I booked room only due to my flight time so did not sample meals. Arrived late but my host made me an omlette, perfect for the late hour and after a long haul flight. The property is about 10 mins from the airport and has adequate parking. My welcome there could not be better. If you are looking for accommodation with character and a more personal experience than a motel this would be a good choice as it is family run. Would stay there again.

Not much. This property Is on a main road and flight path so some people may object to the noise but the same would apply for all accommodation near the airport. Regardless, I bad a good nights rest which readied for my next flight.

Room was comfortable and clean. Charming building with a lovely communal area downstairs. TV in room was great and big and we could watch netflix for hours. Kettle and water and biscuits provided. Bathroom was clean. The man who checked us in was lovely. Parking was ample. Location is great. Checkout was easy.

Mattress was a little springy (made a sound or two). Toilet was a bit small for two tall people over 5ft 10. Parking spots might be tight for a huge car but don't think too many stay at the lodge at once so should be fine.

Great value, got everything you need, great location for airport, great staff. Smart TV in room with lots of channels and Netflix etc if you want to sign in. Was clean, kettle and teabags etc was nice. Also the fan was excellent given recent temps.

Another resident could see me in the mirror through the bathroom window. TV remote was pretty gross, minor issue. Bed sheets felt bit plastic-y but fine for one night. For the value and location though, I'd stay again.

Pymgate Lodge Hotel did a great job. Michael and Leda were so welcoming and they provided such a cozy and warm environment. They know the area really well and had lots of great recommendations and they went above and beyond in terms of their service quality. You can tell that they really care about people and just genuinely want to connect with as many amazing souls as they can. You come as guests, and leave feeling like you're their family.

The room was pleasant, clean and just what we needed for a night's stay. The directions to self-check-in after hours, were very helpful. Fifteen minutes in the car/taxi from the airport, give or take. My wife had the continental breakfast and I had the cooked English breakfast, which were both really tasty and just what we needed after a late flight the night before. The host was very accommodating, friendly and charming. Would recommend if you're passing by.

The location is okay, we only stayed for one night and didn't get a proper sense of Cheadle but there weren't many amenities close by, or anywhere to go for a walk but we didn't expect to be staying very long.

A very welcome overnight after a long trip back from Turkey. We had a very late check-in due to late flight arrival in Manchester..everything about self check-in was explained very clearly which allowed us to quickly gain access to our rooms...both rooms were were ideal for us to get a good night's sleep before driving home to Scotland ..beds were very comfortable and the showers were excellent. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.
