I love the size of the unit . It had a fold away bed in living room and separate king size bed in its own room, with its own 72 inchTV, and even a lock on the door. There was a long hallway. I like that distance separate from the living room so people could be in the living room and talk and you wouldn't not hear them.e Even though we were just use two alone, it felt like an apartment. There was two bathrooms, but the bedroom had its own walk in shower, it was a great shower and was clean, felt safe. The other bathroom was a full bath with a shower, closer to the living room. There was an amazing full kitchen, although we did not use it, it had a full size refrigerator, microwave and it was wonderful and inviting. We. Had a balcony and the beach was right there. The room we got at first was a really small room with a huge king size bed. The room was too small so we upgraded to the other option.. I'm glad that they offered that. They offer a delicious breakfast, great hot food. Eggs, cheese, hash brown's, muffins, toast, sausage, fresh fruit, juice, bagles, milk,, coffee, biscuits and gravy. They even feed you dinner! Clam chowder and a cookie for desert!

The first room Was too small, But we got a bigger one.

What is not to like?! It was the most amazing weekend we’ve had. We’ve stayed at many hotels/motels being a military family so our expectations are pretty low. But we found this place when searching for a pet friendly hotel to stay at for our anniversary since we had to bring our puppy. This one came up with great reviews and amazing pictures of the view and rooms. Sometimes pictures are deceiving and they’ll show one and you’ll get another but this hotel delivered! We walked in and it was JUST like the pictures. Maybe even better. There was a bottle of lemonade, chocolates and a handwritten card wishing us a happy anniversary. The tv even said welcome with our names on it. Even our puppy got treats! The view was also above expectations. And the food!!! Holy moly!! Every night there was hot chowder and warm freshly baked cookies in the lounge. And the breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Friendly staff, great location for beach access, heated pool, hot tub, sauna, 5pm chowder & cookies, hot breakfast. Older hotel that's been taken care of right on the ocean. Not crazy over priced for ocean front and included extras, but...

Mattresses not super comfy; One bath has had long term issue with shower water leaking out... staff really not concerned when reported?! No secondary lock on slider... ground level room with patio/ railing with walking trail in front.

The room was large. The bed is comfortable. They had a wonderful breakfast that ran until 10am. Even if you came at 10 o'clock they kept the food out. It was hot and fresh. They have a wonderful salmon chowder at 5pm each evening and warm chocolate chip cookies until both were gone. We will recommend it to all family and friends.

The rooms need way more lighting. Do not like dime lighting in my room. Use dimmers if you want ambient lighting. Not every woman wants to stand and put their makeup on and nowhere has sufficient lighting for that. Fix that and it would be a perfect place.

The breakfast every morning was outstanding. I have not ever been to a hotel with a full hot breakfast. My husband was a happy camper with his biscuits and gravy. I was excited for scrambled eggs and sides of salsa, sliced green onions, grated cheese. yum! Our bathroom had the most amazing shower head. It was awesome.

We had ADA approved room. The bed was pretty high. I am not strong enough to lift mom up on a tall bed, so we made a bed for her out of the couch and some foot stools.

When we arrived for check out Dean gave us multiple options for different rooms they had available due to this we were able to stay in a first floor room right next to the beach access and it was perfect! The staff were very friendly throughout the stay. The continental breakfast was also very delicious not just a quick pastry. We did miss out on the 5pm chowder but we will definitely be sure to try it next time.

Only two small things we wish we had more pillows on the bed and we do wish we had a screen on our back door so we could’ve kept it open.

This hotel FEEDS you. Hot breakfast in the AM. Soup/crackers in the evenings. Cookies all day. Coffee all day! and the Coffee is so tasty. I don't know how many times I visited that front Lobby, but I left smiling every time. The efficiency suite was perfect for our family, hosting 4 people and 2 doggies. Yep, they have pet friendly suites! There are even dog treats at the front Lobby for them! The bathrooms were clean as well as the room itself. No odors. The kitchen has a larger refrigerator which was so helpful to us with hoarding goodies for our kiddo. Also the Pool. Their outdoor pool heats up to 90 degrees. Its bliss on the beach baby. Hot tub, check. Sauna, check. Towels, check. Happy guests, check!!

Our stay was genuinely great and I can't think of anything we didn't like. There's a restaurant in the same parking lot if you don't want to go far. I guess if you don't like pets, this wouldn't be right for you since they are very pet friendly.

The room had a full ocean view and private balcony (excellent). The suite's living room and bedroom (including the bed) were very comfortable and cozy. There was plenty of room for storage / extra clothing, and the pull-down Murphy bed in the living area was a nice touch (to view the ocean at night). Loved the full kitchen too!

The noise from the people enjoying the pool echoed back into the bedroom, but fortunately, things quieted down after 10:00 p.m. The kitchen also could have had more supplies / dishes / utensils, things like a bottle opener, ice cube trays, mixing bowls, etc., especially for anyone planning to cook meals in the suite.

The enormous room with glass shower looking out into the ocean was beautiful! We traveled with our dogs and it was a perfect room. Bed was really comfy. Balcony great - all oceanfront rooms. Hardwood (vinyl engineered/ waterproof) floors were perfect for sand and pets. Very chic room. My favorite of several rooms over 12 days. They also serve complimentary salmon chowder and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at 5pm

The breakfast wasn't good. Breakfast room was small. And for an Ascend Hotel, the coffee was Folger's - which is completely inferior coffee and I had to drive to Starbucks at Safeway.

I didn’t try the breakfast, but I really enjoyed the room layout. Very modern, well-maintained, considering the proximity to the ocean, which was very nice by the way. I especially liked the enclosed balcony deck With the two chairs and end table which I did use. Your desk person was very cordial and welcoming.

The only thing I was disappointed in, was the lack of carpeting. Although I do understand from a room maintenance perspective, this makes the most economic sense. This seems to transmit noise and is a little less comfortable when not wearing shoes, Which I always take off as I enter the room.
