Our host Michael was conducting renovations but kept a ground floor room available for us due to our early booking. The property is wonderfully historic and backs onto the River Nore, with on site parking and our double room was very comfortable. Michael provided us with a cooked breakfast each morning in the picturesque upstairs breakfast nook. My wife alternated between the salmon omelette and muesli with yoghurt while I plumped for the full Irish breakfast each morning. Delicious! This was also a great base for visiting nearby sites such as Kilkenny, Waterford and New Ross.
While the Tower House B&B was wonderful, the one drawback with Thomastown was that there were no good options for evening meals other than driving into Kilkenny which we did. It's only 15 minutes by car and there are plenty of dining options. We tried a couple of local takeaways but the food was very ordinary!

I can’t recommend the Towerhouse B&B highly enough. The room was beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious, first there was juice, coffee/tea & homemade granola with yogurt & berry compote, then a choice of a fry, salmon omelette or the fluffiest blueberry pancakes I’ve ever eaten, all served with sourdough toast. There was also a lovely courtyard with tables & chairs so you can have a relaxing chat or glass of wine & a doorway that led to the riverbank.

Tower B&B was brilliant for our stay in Thomastown. My partner and I had a wedding at Mount Juliet Estate and the proximity to the venue was amazing! The lovely gentleman who owns the B&B generously gave us a lift to the venue as transport was limited which we cannot thank him enough for his kindness. The room was everything we needed, very well thought out and the breakfast included made us feel right at home. We would love to come back to the Tower B&B when we're back in Thomastown!
My partner and I didn't have anything bad to say, it was a really lovely place to stay.

Room was fabulous and spotless. Plenty of tea, coffee etc. Bathroom fabulous and again plenty of towels. Heating wasn't on but that wasn't a problem as our beds had electric blankets and we were so cosy. Breakfast next morning was wonderful. A starter of yogurt, fruit and granola, delicious and something I don't normally touch. . Breakfast was all cooked fresh as was the orange juice the coffee and the tea. Plenty of toast and bread. I don't think I've enjoyed a breakfast so much in a while. This place is not value for money, its a steal. No complaints, fabulous host. Fabulous B&B. Will definitely be looking to stay there again.
Beautiful area but no place to dine after 6pm. Nearest place is Kells which has an excellent restaurant, The King's Mill.

The Tower House is a renovated old building, probably around 200 years old. The surprise was, there is a river along the property, at the rear. The river Nore, I think. The small town is sleepy. The host was excellent, cooking a good hearty breakfast. Only one restaurant in town, the Tabo, a very good quality one, run I think by Spanish people. A Greek chef. Booking necessary. Food sublime.
Nothing.

Lovely location. Easy drive to Kilkenny, Inistioge and other places of interest. Michael was wonderful! Very friendly and great sense of humour.
Room was a little chilly during the day as heat came on for the morning and evening. Not unusual for a B&B, though. Electric blanket was available for sleeping at night, but I didn't use it as the duvet was very cosy!

We had such a lovely stay at the B&B, the room was impeccably clean, comfortable and cosy. The breakfast was made to order from Michael and everything we ate was fresh and delicious. Michael was very helpful to us for taxis, our bags and any queries we had! Would love to come back and visit again!

The location was excellent, was central to everything in Thomastown. Michael, the owner was very friendly (and a former chef). The room was very clean. The food options for breakfast were good.
Only thing that comes to mind is that the breakfast/eating area could use a freshening up.

Lovely facility with kind and helpful owner. The owner, Michael, is always around if you need anything and checking in couldn't be easier. Michael was kind enough to prepare a vegan breakfast for me and it was delicious! Great location as well-literally right off the bus stop.
The bed was slightly lumpy but I was able to sleep okay.
