The hotel was within walking distance to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which was our reason for coming.

The hotel is divided up into a number of buildings and you need to cross busy streets to get from one building to the next. This makes it very inconvenient if you are in one of the outlier buildings, esp. to get to breakfast or the pool. Also, we found the bed was too soft-- not firm enough for us. Felt like sleeping on a marshmallow.

This was a basic and straightforward hotel in a very convenient location. We were staying in Ashland without a car, and the location of the hotel allowed for this. We slept well. We had a suite that was a great layout for our family, the kids loved the pool and the pancake machine at breakfast. Breakfast also included eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt, granola, pastries, and etc.

The location of our room was slightly below grade on the main street. Ashland is a quiet town so there weren’t many cars at night, but you can definitely hear them. My husband wore earplugs and the rest of us slept through the noise of the road. This is a sprawling hotel with several buildings, so if you don’t require a suite, asking for a room farther from the main road would be advisable. The room also showed some wear. There were some dents and cracks and one towel had a hole in it. This did not bother us, and everything was functional.

We loved the central location, having to cross Main Street to get to the pool & breakfast from our room was a little awkward.

good quality mattress. Nice bright bedside light and padded headboard for reading in bed. mini-fridge and Keurig coffee machine in room. Sonnet building was perfect convenient location for walking to restaurants, plays. hooray for having a secure elevator not stairs! I felt safe in the building, and in the parking lot, as well as walking between venues at night. I liked being given an advance choice when checking in, to have, or not to have, the room cleaned.

cheapo pillows. no microwave. needs wall hooks for hand towels near the sink. and at least one hook for bath robe in the bathroom. Not a fan of powdered eggs at breakfast.

We loved the location as we had come to see they plays and saw 4 in 4 days. The staff was excellent. The directions to our room across the street were clear and concise. We had trouble with the TV because housekeeping had inadvertently disconnected a cord but staff came to our room in less than 5 minutes and not only corrected the problem but made sure we could use the remote which was not quite as intuitive as it could have been. We also needed help with the air conditioning on the second day and again staff was prompt, courteous and helpful. As a ADA room it was excellent. Plenty of towels for a 4 day stay without needing housekeeping.

We missed a microwave. We had leftovers and would have liked to reheat them. We were not sure about the sink outside the bathroom but it turned out to be more expedient for two getting ready in the morning than we expected.

The location is perfect for those interested in attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival -- just a short walk away. We thought the place and room were fairly quiet, and we were in the pet-friendly building, too! Speaking of which, this place is very accommodating to dogs, which made our trip so much easier -- with no extra pet fees. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and we liked that we could grab a bite and coffee each morning in the breakfast room. The pet-friendly rooms are a decent size with comfortable furniture for seating two people and a fairly comfortable bed. The heater/A.C. worked well.

The bed did not have a fitted sheet, so the sheets fall off a bit. Bring your own pillow! So glad we did. In short, the bed was comfortable enough, but the comforter and bedsheet were incredibly light-weight and not the best quality. Good thing the heater in the room worked really well! The breakfasts were powdered eggs, hard-boiled eggs, rubbery sausage, make-it-yourself pancakes, packaged danishes, and mini-muffins -- not the best tasting food, and not high-end, but did the trick for a free breakfast with decent coffee to tide us over in the early morning before we went out for breakfast or brunch in town. The worst part was the low-flow shower, which had very little pressure -- mostly just a trickle -- but the bathroom was clean and comfortable.

Loved the spacious suite that had a sleeping room and then a separate family room that had a Murphy bed and a convertible sofa bed (not exactly a couch but more like a chaise lounge). The balcony was great and looked south over the downtown and the Shakespeare space. We didn’t have a microwave in the room but when we inquired about it they happily let us come pick one up for our room. And the breakfast was usual hotel fare but the breakfast room was beautiful with nice ambiance.

The main office was across a busy street that did have a cross walk. So to get to the breakfast room or front desk or hot tub you had to cross the street.

The room was a good size and well-heated. The bathroom was clean and bright. I also liked the location and overall look of the motel; very PNW and "cabin-y." I drove south which took me past several coffee shops, including Starbucks, and gas stations, before I got onto the freeway driving south.

The sink got clogged after I used it the first time to brush my teeth; the water sat in the bowl for over two hours before fully draining. It clogged again when I washed my hands and brushed my teeth the next morning. The bed was a bit lumpy and only had a bed cover - no flat sheet between the mattress sheet and the blanket.

Location is ideal; walking distance to theaters, restaurants, shops but very quiet and no street noise. Room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and the temperature control was very easy to understand - not complicated like some hotels. Also, never had a problem with the card key entry to the elevator and room.

There was a very nice balcony with two chairs but the chairs could have used a good cleaning; very dusty with visible cob webs.
