We really liked the location and how good value for money it is. We just needed a place to crash for a night and this place suited our needs. Comfy beds, had tv, microwave,bread toaster, kettle, aircon/heater and fridge in the room with all the basic kitchen items for having a meal, i.e. plates,bowls,mugs,glasses, cutleries, dishwashing liquid and rags. We had 2 recliner seats (did not use as stained) and a dining table also which came handy as we decided to eat some leftover food the next morning. A proper kitchen and games room was available on site as well.There was no staff in person and there was just a number to call and get instructions to check in which was not a bother for us as the lady answered my call after 2 rings. As others mentioned, the room and toilet are dated but for the price point and the inclusions, can't really complain. The important thing for us was comfy beds, clean sheets and clean bathroom/toilet which we got during our stay plus the extras. .

Room and toilet are quite dated. Recliners and sofa can be steam cleaned to remove stains.

Heater, I loved the heater! Middle of summer could still be very cold. We had a kitchen in our apartment, so didn't need to use the commune facilitates for cooking. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Quiet location. Easy access.

Missing some things in the kitchen like bowl for morning cereals. Older cooktop but did the job. Bathroom not overly clean but we were given fresh batch of towel every morning although no shower gel, just shampoo/conditioner. We were supposed to have a free champagne on arrival but there was a note inside the apartment saying if we use any of the drinks from the fridge we need to pay, so that was confusing. It would be nice if there are some tea/coffee bags and little milk boxes we could use for breakfast like we did at other properties.

Had everything we needed and more for one night stay between Hobart and Cradle Mountain. The windy drive down into the town is amazing. This Motel has great facilities, especially in the kitchen! The beds are comfy and the room itself was very spacious and the shower was great. We never actually met the motel staff as we checked in via phone call but we got a room upgrade due to some ongoing building work in the dorms, bonus!

Nothing! The town itself is so quiet but that adds to the experience of staying here, there is still a supermarket close by if you need it.

9 people from Singapore stayed two nights. 24 Sep 23 and 26 Sep 23. We were very impressed. The bed is comfortable and warm. The rooms are also cosy and warm. Mountain view is good, fantastic. Price is very reasonable. No problem with virtual check-in. Just call the number provided and you will be given number to access the box to collect the unit keys. Happened to meet the host, Henry who is very friendly and generous. Didn't charge us when we mistakenly opened a bottle of wine. Refused to charge though we offered to pay. Thank you.

Kitchen better equipped will definitely make the stay a perfect one.

I was lucky enough to be alone in my dorm of rooms. It’s not pretty but it was extremely comfortable and functional and a great price. The heater warms the small area immediately, ample tea and milk on hand. And a snack machine at the office was gratefully appreciated when I missed out on dinner one night.

It’s run down and old but the price offsets that. I wouldn’t want to be here with lots of people.

We'd originally booked a twin backpackers room. When we arrived, it was raining and due to rain for the whole time we were there. Reception upgraded us to a nice motel room instead without question. These hadn't shown as available when I booked. Breakfast wasn't included, but the crockery/cutlery/milk/tea/coffee/sugar were provided. These made organising our own brekky easy.

The facilities are quite old. The bathroom probably needs a bit more work as the floor was quite rickety beneath the lino. All in all though, we were quite happy with this place and considered we got good value for the money we paid.

Basically i loved that place because it was spacious and no other people there. Only thing which kept me from a 10 star rating were the annoying beeping fire alarms in several of the other locked rooms nearby, they each beeped every like 60 seconds Beautiful location, plenty of parking Good to know: If you book a 'Single Dorm room' its not a dorm room you share with other people but a private room. They may call it dorm because its shared bathrooms. @Owner: Other accommodations would call it like - (Budget) Single room with shared bathroom - (Budget) Twin room with shared bathroom - (Budget) Doubble room with shared bathroom You would probably get more bookings with that naming..

The site was easy to find, had a fully equipped communal kitchen and laundry. The color scheme was modern and all new linen. Parking just outside your room

The virtual check in - makes it hard to use the laundry if they are not on site as you need $1 coins with no change machine available. Please update you Bookings photos to show how good your site really is - you are under selling yourself

My stay at Mountain View Motel went smoothly. It's budget lodging. No insurmountable issues to report. Check-in was virtual (over the phone), which made me relieved I had a travel SIM and a strong signal. Parking was easy. Everything was clean and functioned as expected. Communication was clear. I slept well there. Easy come, easy go. If I found myself back in the area, I'd most likely return.

Wifi was unreliable. I resorted to using my phone as a hotspot, which worked well.

Perfect location (walkable to town), had everything I needed (kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge). Heater worked well, plenty of hot water and one of the best 'budget' motels I've stayed in.

Just a very strong 'sweet' smell - not sure if it was a cleaning product or air freshener. I coped with it but it would have triggered an asthma attack in those susceptible to it.
