Was very concerned that smoke alarm was covered/wrapped in plastic, when I asked reception why, I was advised that probably previous guests did it so it wouldn't go off when smoking in the room. To this response I asked wouldn't the cleaners have noticed. I asked reception to advise management as this is a fire code violation and i was concerned for others safety. Reception response i will speak to the cleaners. I do find it wrong to blame someone else rather than to take responsibility and arrange to fix immediately.

Good beds, spacious, excellent bathroom, good location, quiet.

It was noticed that a toaster was provided but no plates or knives to spread butter etc. There was also a microwave but no cereal bowls or spoons. There was a teatowel but no washing cloth. Being regular travelers we always bring plates, cereal bowls, knives , forks, spoons etc, but I would assume not everybody does this. These are only small matters , but could improve the overall stay.

We liked the location - right in the centre of Orange within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We also liked the spaciousness of the room which had room for a comfy sofa, chairs and a table to eat at. It is so much nicer to be able to sit in the room in places other than on the bed.

We asked for a ground floor room when booking but when we arrived we had been given a room upstairs. Management claimed that Booking.com had not relayed this information to them even though we had an acknowledgement email that this request had been approved. Fortunately we were able to change to a downstairs room (my partner has mobility issues)

Old style rooms that are good value for money and a bit quirky. Mini fridge had bottles of water (unsure if they were complimentary or you had to pay), if they were complimentary, that was a nice touch. Tea and coffee making facility also had the small packets of biscuits which you don't see very often these days. It looks like whoever operates the business takes time to care about the small things. The bathroom was small but functional, with the basin and mirrors separate to the shower and toilet (we stayed in a room with 1 x db, 2 x sb). It was easy to check in outside office hours with keysafe. Lots of parking when we stayed. Walking distance to food and shops.

It is a 2 star hotel so you get what you pay for. However, people sitting on the stairwells talking loudly whilst smoking late at night and early in the morning was disruptive to sleep. The area in front of every stairwell in the carpark is a designated smoking area, but people take chairs and sit near the rooms at the bottom of the stairs rather than in the carpark. They also sit on the stairs smoking and talking loudly which echoes. The smoking wasn't so much of an issue it was more the talking. The cars arriving and leaving were also noisy as the carpark echoes. Need complimentary ear plugs! Otherwise a good value option in Orange

I like how comfortable the room and the bed are. The television functioning well and bathroom so perfect.

During night time there is lots of cockroaches so we have to turn on the lights all night to avoid the cockroaches. And staff sometimes not really friendly:)

Shower was amazing, beds were so comfy, everything was clean, close to shops.

Had to ask a couple of times for cutlery and crockery. Furnishings were dated and needed a lick of paint. Shower room/toilet needs to be larger with more room.

The staff were very helpful. When I checked in the lady noticed I had a large compression bandage on my right leg. She said straiht awsy I will move you to a ground floor unit. Beyond and above great customer service.

No negative comments at all

The room was clean and tidy and having the table and chairs made a great difference since I didn’t have to sit on the bed to eat. The shower was good, it had a strong water pressure and having a hot shower that was actually hot was a bonus.

The only issue I had was with the TV, it was to high on the wall and the only comfortable way I could watch it was by lying down on the bed. Due to this I didn’t watch TV which gave me the opportunity to catch up on my reading instead.

room didn't warm up even when air con up high. but it was really really cold outside, i had to get the extra blankets out.... but once in bed was fine. car parking couldn't get to my room easy as all car spots full and i had lots of gear to take to the room and had to wait for someone to move before getting park inside.

The location was great. Super close to shops, food etc. The room was clean and tidy. Very affordable.

One of the beds was soft at one end and firm at the other meaning sleeping was uncomfortable as I was on an angle.
