Was exploring the east coast of the island and wanted to try a new area (stayed previously in Ponta Delgado for 3 nights). Debated between the coast and Furno. The tiny coastal town was very charming with only a few restaurant and bar options but for 2 nights we were very happy with the incredible ocean/marina views and access to different hiking trails and less tourists. I was very pleased that the hotel offered a hot jacuzzi- unlike other places we stayed in Portugal. The breakfast and room were great. Beautiful decor and parking was very easy out front.

Breakfast was very good. Lot to choose from and all was fresh and plentiful. The room was very nice and looked out over the marina. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and a bit rainy at times, but it was a nice view. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and towels and bedding was very good.

The person on the front desk was unable to tell us when church services were in the area. That's seems to be a common question people would ask. Also, we received instruction on towel usage at the pool and hot tub and signed a form stating we would NOT use room towels for that area. When we went down and requested towels for the hot tub, we were told there weren't any available. ???? It was not a sunny, hot day so where did they go?

The accommodation is perfect for someone who doesn't want to stay in one of the main towns in Sao Miguel, but still wants to stay in a town which has several restaurants to choose from, a beach, shop - basically everything you need to explore the east part of the island. The room has a comfy bed, balcony for watching the sun rise, air-conditioning (which was especially important in the heat we experienced during our trip), a mini fridge to store your food and even a bidet. The breakfast at the hotel was great with sweet and savoury options and different cakes every morning. The swimming pool was also awesome and very nice to cool down after a busy day and there even was a jacuzzi to unwind later on in the evening (the pool is open until 10 PM). We also managed to have a drink at the bar and the cocktails were quite strong (a big thumbs up!). We were able to park in front of the hotel without any issues, apart from the first day when the parking lot was full, but we still managed to squeeze in next to the parking lot.

If you are looking for a perfect combination of a hotel & small town this is it. It has a nice pool and jacuzzi, closest view at a sea you can imagine and small gym. Also the fact there is a nearby beaches (small) close to the hotel is not so common. Design of the room was uplifting and matching atmosphere of a sea. Definitely rent a room with sea view -> side of hotel with few rooms is facing a police station.

We stayed in a room with a lovely sea view, taking in the harbour with the ocean beyond. The balcony was spacious, including a table, chairs and sun lounger. It was also partially covered, providing shade and shelter from rain, if needed. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The building is interesting, with wide, light common areas and a fascinating rotunda at the top. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was perfectly acceptable. We liked the period (70’s?)style of the furniture and layout The waterfront area and the little town were both delightful, nestled in a cove below granite cliffs.

The bathroom fittings needed updating and this would then give a fresher, cleaner impression.

The room is spacious and cosy, with great A/C. The bathroom is also large. It was not perfect. The shower had did not work properly and the fan was sticky. It has a bidet which we liked. The stuff was fantastic. Either the reception or cleaning, bar or restaurant were very service oriented and helpful. WIFI strong and stable. Very nice breakfast. It is located 20 minutes from Terra Nostra park and lake Furnas

This hotel was built with class, though it is somewhat dated it still holds it's class ! The balcony with ocean view was fabulous! Very comfortable bed and pillows. Hands down best scrambled eggs for breakfast, lots of choices available too !

Honestly, a little run down on some paint. But I would stay again in a heartbeat. Did I mention they have a great pool and hot tub.

In a great location with lots of easy to access parking. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. The pool was a nice feature but there are also two beaches walking distance from the hotel. Some great restaurants and a nice grocery market also within walking distance!

The mattresses are a bit firm, but can still get a good sleep.

The hotel has a good location, not far from the town center and not far from the beach; the rooms are spacious with a balcony for a pleasant sitting; rooms with a sea view are great; very nice and helpful staff (reception as well as hotel bar); quiet, peaceful atmosphere...

The breakfast was a bit simple, but in the end you could always choose something...

Perfect location if looking for peace and quiet. Close to furnas :) Breakfeast offers anything you need and good quality. Beds were comfy and good size balcony looking to the ocean :) that was the best part! Beautiful view if you get a ocean view room.

Could hear someone in the room next to me snoring. Better sound insulation would be great but I understand its not a new build. Cleaning ladies left the aircon at 16 degrees and when we came back at 10pm the room was freezing.
