The location is amazing. It is located in ribeira grand that beautiful and quiet village with ocean view. Room was so clean and cozy with fantastic view on ocean and outdoor swimming pool. There is 2 Swimming pool indoor and outdoor all were so nice and clean with view on ocean. There is professional Spa center they have many options with well training people there. Also there is a gym with good equipments. You will finds help from all the employees there. They are so kind and helpful (my pleasure to all the employees: reception guys and girls , house keepers, spa center workers and kitchen workers) they are really nice, always smile and they are always happy to help. (I believed that “peaceful” that is the feeling when you visit Azores)

This is a beautiful hotel. Modern, low rise, facing the ocean. The design is superb with floor to ceiling windows in all the rooms and public spaces including the gym and the indoor pool so the big skies and Atlantic so typical of the Azores are everywhere. The interior design is cool and sophisticated and the whole place feels very upmarket. Sea-facing rooms have little terraces so you can sit out and watch the sun set. Rooms are a good size, with great beds and modern bathrooms. The gym is excellent and the indoor Spa pool actually fabulous. Breakfast is good, we thought, not fancy but fine and lots of choice. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel, but there are good eating choices in the town. The bar cocktails were great at €12 a pop and the staff everywhere were kind and super-efficient. For the quality it offers we thought this place was a bargain. We stayed at a more expensive place in Furnas our last two nights and, frankly, the Verde was a better hotel. Add to that it's perfectly located to reach anywhere in the Island (Ponta Delgardo and the airport are just 20 minutes away) and I can't really see why you'd stay anywhere else on Sao Miguel

Literally, nothing

The room with the ocean view was great. I would recommend paying the extra price for ocean view rooms. The cheap rooms have a balcony to a busy road. For the off-season the price was fairly high (945€ for 7 days) We checked the high season prices (1600€ for 7 days). That would be definitely too expensive. Breakfast selection was good, but we have had better breakfasts.

Sauna was turned off at 7 pm (even though the sign said 8 or 9 pm?)

The breakfast is always serving same food. We suggest making slight changes to the menu on a daily basis. We ordered a couple of times negroni and the taste and quantity of the cocktail given was disappointing especially considering it's price tag. The cheese platter offered in the evening during the live music event consisted of the same cheese and ham selection that you provide in the morning for breakfast. The fact that the glass separating the bedroom from bathroom is opaque disturbs the people who want to sleep longer

The family rooms are located very far from the lobby. Thef There are not enough chairs in the room, the room was functional but not warm and "homey".

We liked the heating option in the room and the view. The gym and the swimming pool opening hours and the temperature of the swimming pool. The staff really nice. Hotel really clean.

The semi jacuzzi in the pool was not working. Everyone wanted to relax and tried to turn it on, but you had to be lucky to do so. I asked the staff how it works they explained that sometimes it works sometimes not and were not able to make it work. This is not their fault and should be fixed by the management. Boring for the kids, should have a slide at least in the pool. The breakfast was nice, especially the fruits, but too boring for a 5 star hotel. We stayed 5 nights and only 1 day it had a delicious oven baked toasts with ham and cheese that were disapearing quickly.

The location is perfect, in front of the ocean. The room is very clean and spacious. The breakfast is good, specially coffee, breads, and fresh juices. Outdoor swimming pool is lovely. Indoor one has warm water and good size. We were recieved by welcome Easter chocklates.

It feels less than a 5 star hotel. The spa is full of kids so you cannot relax there. Suana and Turkish bath are very small. The showers in changing room of the spa didn't have shower gel the bottels were empty. There is no smart tv which is kinda needed in these deserted areas that you don't have much to do other than relaxing.

Excellent hotel manager who responds promptly and adequately, and is exceptionally kind and hospitable. Just for her, the hotel already deserves 5*! Very welcoming and thoughtful reception team as well. We were there for our honeymoon and were surprised with a nicely decorated room <3 Tasty breakfast with sea view and enough choice for some variation each day. Relaxing spa area with big indoor pool and a nice view. Good restaurant and bar with several nice dishes and friendly service. Beautifully designed hotel, comfortable room.

No roomservice is offered (no menu in the room), which is surprising for a 5* hotel. Some tiles in the outdoor pool were broken/missing, so you had to be careful not to hurt yourself on the edges. The floor of our room was spotless upon arrival but could be cleaned better by housekeeping during our stay. The artificial fireplace in the lobby was unfortunately never on. Nevertheless, this is minor feedback and we will gladly return since the rest of our experience here was excellent!

In general and overall, I loved my stay at the hotel and generally the staff was very friendly. The lady at the SPA who gave me a hot stone massage whom name I forgot (Francisca or Ferdinanda?) was amazing. She was gentle, warm and very attentive in her approach with myself and the way she did the massage. I enjoyed my room very much and the view over the ocean with the park and the cute white horse.

A little unflexible when I had a few requests. I asked to have my desert in the lounge instead of the restaurant, they said it was not possible which I found very weird. I asked the SPA area if I could have a yoga matt in my room for my daily routine and the staff needed to ask his manager but never got back to me so I just left it.

Excellent customer service. Louis Silva, the concierge, was wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety. Location is excellent and very convenient to reaching all points of interest on the island. 20 minutes from the airport on the highway

Beds are too small and not very comfortable. I didn’t like the glass walls separating the bedroom from the bathroom. Also the bright neon lights in the elevator gives a cold feeling and look cheap. Not suitable for a 5 star hotel. For the price of the rooms, entrance to the hot tab should be free
