Beautiful property, friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Quiet, but close enough to the city center that it was easy to explore. Rooms were spacious with lots of windows and natural light; in-room amenities (products, robes, towels) made for a comfortable stay.

No one told us that the set of keys we were given also opened the front gate, so without the gate opener, we thought we were locked out, when actually, we could have easily let ourselves in. Also, upon arrival, no one answered the bell so we were stuck outside for about 10 minutes until we were able to reach someone. Other than those two issues, everything was perfect.

A very special place, a little gem. If I could give the service and staff 10+ I would. And the food is AMAZING, really tasty and well made. We all agreed the tuna was the best we ever had and they also make the best fries. The breakfast also gets top point from all of us who have different preferences in the morning. We stayed in the new spacious retreat rooms with own little pool. We liked the modern and raw design, where a few final touches was missing like enough towel racks and a fridge would have been nice. But when we asked, things were sorted with a smile. We would love to come back.

From the minute we booked our reservation the staff was in touch to ask about dinner reservations, dietary restrictions, food preferences. The property was beautifully manicured, the rooms were bright, decorated simply and elegantly. The beds were incredibly comfortable with simple clean linens. The breakfast was extraordinary with so many options of fresh juices, coffee, breads, cheeses, meats, local specialties, eggs prepared to order, pineapples from the property. All of this displayed in the the most appealing way. the hot tub was uniquely situated in one of the pineapple greenhouses. We would absolutely come back to Herdede do Ananás without hesitation.

Wonderful stay! Beautiful property, including clean rooms with character (especially bathrooms!) and nice yard. The pineapples are grown in greenhouses (for good reason, the tour was informative), and one of them has a jacuzzi, which was fun to take a dip in! Great selection, quality and portions for breakfast. Dinner at Rustico was good as well (mid price range meals).

We did the pineapple wine tasting, which was great (split a full bottle of wine)! However, they forgot to charge us and now I have to reconcile payment from another country.

The team greeted us with smiles and were flexible in welcoming us a bit early after our overnight flight. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast is superb. An easy walk to the ocean, Ponta Delgada center. Lovely grounds.

A bit of street noise from our room but not too bad. There was some confusion with the Pineapple Experience Package that comes with the Booking.com reservation - after the informative free tour we and another hotel guest couple were told the experience is over, while others were invited to sample pineapple wine and cheese. One hotel guest couple had apparently bought separate vouchers for that but we didn't know that was an option. It was awkward but the staff kindly gave us some pineapple wine to sample when I explained our confusion.

We loved everything about our stay! The accommodation is just as described, perfectly clean and neat. Spacious room with spacious bathroom. Ample parking. Amazing breakfast. We arrived very late (after midnight) but were warmly welcomed and escorted to our room. Pineapple glasshouse tour was interesting, informative and fun! Edgar was fantastic! Finally, the joy of relaxing in the spa-pool in-between rows of pineapples is hard to describe! Just fantastic! Big Thank You to Luis, Edgar and the team for the passion, effort and emotion they put in welcoming guests to their plantation and the old family home. We would love to come back, with family and friends.

Everything is just perfect!

The staff is very helpful and friendly! The room was large, with a big comfortable bed. The included pineapple tour was packed with information.

Our room was next to the road, so at some points was noisy. Attention to detail, in general, i feel like is lacking. Breakfast was good, but not great; most of the fruits weren't ripe, and there weren't many salty products.The place is great but needs small touches and improvements. It can be easily a 10 with a little bit of effort.

We loved everything about this property. The care and service received was exceptional from our initial reservation to our departure. Edgar and Luis along with the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They accommodated our family with early check in offering drinks and a place to rest which was very much appreciated after a long flight. A small beautifully designed and thoughtful hotel… with their restaurant and breakfast equally so. Pineapple tour and wine was a wonderful surprise! Thank you. We will be back again 😊

We loved everything. A car is needed though.

A pineapple sanctuary in the middle of the not so interesting porta delgada city. Very tasteful design, comfortable and clean. The property has great energy and the old pineapple farm makes it a wonderful place to be. The jacuzzi inside a pineapple greenhouse was the highlight. The restaurant is a great place to dine. Food want incredible but still worth it.

Very large well lit room with a private balcony, The pineapple experience provided some interesting insight into the production of a fruit that is not native to the island, there's a lot of human intervention.

The check in experience was not great, difficult to enter the gated property as the gate is immediately off a narrow busy one way street. To arrive without a gate key means having to park the car somewhere, walk back to ring the bell then walk back the car to drive around the property (one way system) to park it inside the property. They advertise an indoor swimming pool, it's not a swimming pool, it's a jacuzzi, you can't swim strokes. Our booking.com room was right next to the automatic gate and the busy side road, so you can hear the cars wizzing on the road and the gate opening and closing each time the guests come in and out. Not very quiet therefore.
