The hostel is located about 10min walk from the city center. It was very clean, even offered huge towels for showering, hair drayer, showergel. Breakfast offered even ricedrink as plantbased option. Just the lockers work with all 4 keys of the room, which doesn´t make sense and the stuff is extremely friendly, but just available from 8am-4pm during weekdays if you need anything.

The "private" bathroom is not very private, since the rest of the room can see (shadow) and hear you (on the toilet).

The perfect accommodations for someone looking to tour the island at an affordable cost. It was clean and fresh inside and the staff were very helpful. The kitchen is also set up nicely so you could definitely stay for a while and prepare meals on site if you wanted.

The walk back to the hostel in the evenings did feel pretty sketchy at times but I always felt safe when I arrived at the hostel. Also, the door handle to my room was quite broken... to the extent that I could only successfully close the door from inside the room.

The hostel was clean and close to the city centre. The kitchen was pretty fully equipped and the breakfast was complete. The beds had individual lightings and plugs.

There was an employee present at our check-in time, but they weren't the most helpful. We had to ask questions to know about the basics of the place (check-in/check-out times, breakfast, room locations, etc). There was also a man-sized hole in the ceiling of my room (covered with plastic and tape), not sure what that was about.

I really liked the location. The hostel is at a walking distance from the town center, not far at all from the port, and you can take buses and taxis easily from the town center to go in various directions on the island, especially if you haven't rented a car, like in my case.

I think there could've been better desk avilability of a receptionist at least during the earlier hours of the day. The manager lady was available on messages on the Booking.com app, but that's it. Secondly, breakfast items could have been refilled when running out. I noticed this on a couple of days: that we were running out of items but nobody around to refill the empty cheese or fruit plate, and coffee pods. Also, in a dorm shared by 6 people, it may be better to put a wiper or a mop stick in the washroom, to help keep the floor dry.

We enjoyed the breakfast that was offered, just bought our own eggs to add to it. We also bought some fruit as that was only offered on one morning. The location suited us well but may not suit people who do not like, or cannot walk, the short distance into the city. We did not hire a car. The beds were comfy. The code to open the front door and our bedroom door was an added attraction. No keys to mislay!

There were no towel rails in the bathroom and no hooks on the back of our room door to hang jackets, raincoats.etc. A change of bath towels every other day would have been nice as the weather was very humid and our towels were always damp.

Very comfortable private room, location not super central but still within walking distance from most points of interest in the city. Breakfast basic but decent, also the kitchen is fully equipped and the fridge huge to store your own food.Staff very welcoming and helpful.

In general it was clean, but on the first day we found some crumbs like from some cereal bar under one of the beds. I guess this can happen anywhere, just mentioning it for awareness purposes. Also due to the room being a wooden attic, the smell was quite musky, but that has more to do with the high humidity of the island than anything else.

Self check-in to hostel and room. The more or less self organizing shared kitchen is a good environment to connect to other guests. The location is good to walk to the bus stops to catch the public buses to the west (ca. 15 min walk) and to the east (ca. 7 min walk). For a hostel it was quite quiet, the guest were very considerately.

The equipment and tools in kitchen could have been more numerous and in better quality.

The breakfast was amazing. Lots of options. Nice to see 2% milk and low fat yogurt as well as oatmeal and cereal. Lots of different options to suit everyone. Bed was comfy. Nice to have towel included as well! Great common space with sitting areas outside as well.

€26 seems a bit steep for a hostel bed, but maybe São Miguel is a lot more expensive than their neighbours in Terceira.

Very nice hostel: good location, clean, very comfortable beds, it has boxes for your bag in the room with keys. Each bed has socket and small lamp. The breakfast also nice has cacao, coffee, some cereals bread cheese and ham, some sweeties. Self check in is very good idea, instructions to enter are clear and we had nice vacation there. Everything fine! one minus is too hot at night if windows are closed (august). For us it was not important, but if you don't like hot weather keep it in mind :)

It has everything you need. Breakfast is fine, facilities as well, and there is a nice little backyard. Bang for buck stay in Ponta Delgada.

Lack of a proper chair in the room. If you sleep on the bunk bed, you have nowhere to sit, for example to tie down your shoes.
