Great location right on outskirts of Ponta Delgada historic centre. Very comfortable room (Superior Double). Helpful staff. Lovely breakfasts, with varying offerings on a daily basis. Pastries, eggs, cooked meat, jams, cereals, yogurts, breads. Something for everyone! Beautiful Edwardian building. Parking for hire car (€5 per day). Towels available for visits to Furnas geothermal pool. Very reasonable price for quality of our stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we come back to the Azores.

The breakfast was amazing and took place in a lovely cafe area. The staff was very kind and helpful start to finish. The location is also great for accessing all the great things to see and do in Ponta Delgada. We also liked the very affordable parking and the comfort of knowing the rental car was safe.

Noise carries easily: We were staying on the first level with rooms (one level above the reception) and our room was right by the stairs so unfortunately we could hear everything and anything, especially when people were going up and down the stairs. If you're easily bothered by noise, this is important to consider. I'm sure people on the other floors or in rooms that were more tucked away might not have been as bothered but definitely important to consider. We would still stay here again even with that!

Absolutely amazing place. Perfect location to explore the Azores, set in a gorgeous old house in the town. Huge rooms, Lovely comfy beds, great showers, full amenities like smart TV, spare towels for thermal visits etc etc. The whole hotel is decorated immaculately. Breakfast was perfect. Not a huge selection like in some hotels but all of it felt homemade, made with care, and was delicious. Then there is the staff, I have stayed at some nice places but never have I felt so cared for by such a lovely group of people. Superb place. Enjoy it!

Very nice, comfortable and very clean Hotel. It's like an old Manor. Looks very nice from inside and outside. +Small but very Good breakfast +Clean room +Friendly and very helpful people +Good location near the center +Small parking for the guests for a small fee (But if you can walk a few minutes there are big parkings nearby) -Wifi was unstable -No Elevator (not a problem for me, but for people with restrictions could be a problem? Next time I am in Ponta delgada I will be here again :)

Perfect location. Easy to walk everywhere. Many delicious restaurants a minute walk away. Pharmacy at the corner. Two blocks to waterfront. Staff were so happy and willing to help. Breakfast was fabulous every morning. The boutique hotel was well appointed. Apples & bananas were left out for guests. Coffee & tea always available. I highly recommend Charming House. Advice: I wore ear plugs at night to help soften the noise of the street and guests coming and going.

Loved the breakfast in the morning, large variety of foods and something a little different every morning. The hotel was only a short walk away from most locations in the old town and restaurants. Gabriela from the evening reception was very helpful with recommendations, and finding a corkscrew. Rooms had high ceilings and a lot of natural light, bathrooms were bright and clean.

We were not able to get parking, and told it was because we were staying less nights than other groups (3 nights). Street parking is available and affordable.

Great breakfast, lovely selection in dining room. Though we had early starts so only went to dining room once. A packed breakfast was provided on the second day which was good. Day 3 was very basic and day 4 the packed breakfast had been forgotten. All staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. Room was decorated tastefully and bedding good quality. Excellent location for exploring Ponta Delgada.

As above re packed breakfast experience. More hangers in room would be helpful and tea/coffee facility in room would have been appreciated.

We were late arriving, but there was someone there to greet us and give us the information we needed. Our luggage had been lost by the airline, and the greeter offered to help in whatever way they could to make us comfortable. Our room was lovely - high ceilings, nice bathroom and comfy bed. The following day, we met up with 3 other people in our party and the hotel allowed them to use our room and have a breakfast (with a small payment.) Really could not have been more hospitable. Great location close to the center of the old town.

There was nothing that wasn't absolutely perfect about this stay. The people at the hotel were very helpful and kind and we enjoyed our brief stay immensely.

room was cramped and stuffy, no closet space, no pants hangers; staff not partriciularly friendly or available (I didn't appreciate being asked "Who told you that?" when we explained that we had been given a slightly later checkout), wifi didn't work the last day, hard to eat cereal, yogurt, eggs, juice and tea from one bowl and one plate (extra plates would have been a good idea). But these are all minor compared to the things we did like.

The facility itself was absolutely beautiful and extremely warm and welcoming. The bed was comfy and the pillows were great! They also provided us grapes and wine for our arrival which was very kind! This facility was very close and within walking distances to restaurants which was nice, but you will need to rent a car if wanting to explore the azores at all!

The only downside was that you could hear everything happening in the house and the windows were quite drafty - this is a 1901 year house though, so understandable!
